ℂ𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕔𝕖 ℂ𝕝𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕖:
As Delilah and Kara continued to play the game, Kara taking a turn to answer something about Dorian - Candice couldn’t help but allow her eyes to wander around the pool. Watching everyone who seemed to be having the time of their lives. She almost wished she could trade places with one of them - any of them. Half of them weren’t even attempting to play Blue Royalty - and she wished she could be one of those people. Honestly, being anyone but “Candice Clarke” seemed like a good trade at the moment, despite the fact that many would argue the opposite. Hell, if she had a nickel for every time someone said they would love to be in her shoes… well, she’d be exactly where she was because as sad as it was to say - money didn’t solve everything. Trust CC on that, her family had enough money to know.
Allowing her eyes to wander to the side of the pool, Candice couldn’t help but think ‘speak of the devil’ as Dorian had made an appearance with another girl - though she couldn’t tell who as Candice’s vision was still slightly impaired as her body was reeling from the copious amount of alcohol she had been consuming hours earlier.
Though she snapped out of her distraction when she heard Kara speak - her voice cracking slightly that made Candice’s heart break slightly. Though she never really knew Kara nor Dorian too well, one thing Candice was well versed in was heartbreak. “Hey…” Candice whispered, low enough that Delilah who was sitting further apart from them couldn’t hear. Though drunk, she still understood that this was something that Delilah shouldn’t overhear. “If you ever want to talk… let me know,” she continued with a slight smile.
