Delilah decided not to comment on the fact that he clearly didn’t know what ‘hypocrisy’ means, but she didn’t want to waste her energy on Brandon Marshall. “Thank you, so much,” Delilah replied half-heartedly, matching his sarcastic tone. Once she protested against continuing the conversation, he was quick to agree, to which she scoffed. But, that was the last sound coming from the closet for the next few minutes, as they both actually did stand in silence. That was, until Brandon checked the timer and announced that they were almost done, to which she rolled her eyes purely at the sound of his voice.
The seven minutes were concluded with an exasperated sigh of relief from Delilah and a sarcastic remark from Brandon, to which Delilah gave no response, brushing past him to leave, not wanting to give him the time of day - especially since their time was over. How could she have slept with that nobody - the only remotely interesting thing about him being a baby.

After the painful lock-in, almost any event would be amazing in comparison. Particularly the Annual Fashion Show. On a runway where everyone is looking at her strutting in a bomb-shell outfit? Needless to say, Delilah Rose Hawthorne was in her element, and after being a guest judge on America’s Next Top Model around a year ago, Delilah knew all the best modelling techniques and poses. Not only that, but it was going to be another opportunity to get points, and she was determined to get them both done as soon as she could, so she could then put her energy into owning that fashion show.
Her driver parked the Rolls Royce outside the Old Lapis Hall, known for being the venue for the biggest Award and Fashion shows in the country. Delilah had arrived a little after everyone else due to having to organise another babysitter, and instantaneously, Delilah received the notification she had been waiting for on her phone. The Blue Royalty tasks. Delilah had a 100% track record when it came to tasks, being unapologetically shameless and willing to do any and everything to get tasks. Reading the new ones that had been sent, Delilah was confused, they seemed… almost tame. Though Delilah wasn’t complaining, while she was in the car park of the hall, she may as well do one of the tasks now, especially since she saw the subject of her task coming out of his car - confirming which one was his.
When she could see that he was definitely gone, Delilah walked over to his convertible, which worked in favour of her task. She leaned over the car door, looking around for a specific item that she knew would require a small hunt - knowing that the owner would securely hide all his possessions. She checked inside the armrest, checked under the seats and then finally in the glove compartment where she found what she assumed was the requested file by Blue Royalty.
Taking said file and standing away from the car, Delilah opened the file, skimming through at some of the names, until she saw one that she knew. Gabriel Hawthorne. A name- a person- that she knew, but at the same time didn’t really know at all, and Delilah was thrown off guard seeing it for the first time in almost a decade, and seeing it again immediately brought up old wounds and feelings she had buried a long time ago. What connection did he have with the owner of the car? With anyone on the file? One thing she knew was that she wasn’t going to leave those questions unanswered.
“Dan,” Delilah called after entering the building, interrupting whatever conversation he was in. Before he could say anything, she walked into an empty dressing room, knowing that he would follow. When he did, she turned around, barely knowing where to start. “What is this, Daniel?” She asked quietly, placing the file on the table, in between them.
