Gosh as if she thought this day could get any better. Laying here with him, talking. It- he made her heart feel warm and fuzzy. All of her suppressed emotions came flying back at her. God, she was so carefree right now. Nothing could ever beat this. Nothing. She felt over the moon right now. This was all she wanted, right here. Being in a happy… well now relationship with Theo. She gazed up at Theo,“How can one be so important, so special?” She wondered aloud in a whisper.

She laughed,"I would never do such thing,"She fake gasped for dramatics. Mare raised her brows,“Good thing, Mister.” She spoke with a satisfied smirk on her lips. This was fun. Just talking, playing around. It’s all just so calming and relaxing in this little space they created for themselves here.

A soft smile appeared on her lips as she agreed with him. “I couldn’t agree with you more. This is just way too nice.” She kissed him on the cheek and layed her head down on his shoulder. “I don’t want to walk back into the world yet.” Mareena told him. She doesn’t want to see her problems again head on. They’re pushed into the back depths of her mind currently.

“That’s what I’m starting to realize.” Kai was normally fairly good at getting a read on people. With merely a single conversation he could know what type of person someone was, and just how to interact with them further. Everyone is different, but when it comes to reading people and even predicting how they’d respond to certain things, it was a skill he certainly had, but with Jessica… she was the one person he couldn’t figure out. Even when it came to the one other person who had a way of making him unsure what to think, catching him off guard, he still could get a better read on her, even if it could change in an instant, than the read he could get on Jess. He truly did not understand the girl. All logical reasoning and conclusions, just didn’t happen with her. “Hard to say, honestly, and I couldn’t tell you what she’d say if I tried. There’s no reason to say it couldn’t, but its too early to say at this point.”

Ketziah had enjoyed talking to Sadie as they had gotten to the school. Shortly after arriving, the two separated, and soon enough a game of seven minutes in heaven began. When it came time for her turn, she was paired with Luciano, who she knew through his sister. Together they went off for their seven minutes, and she turned to look at him with a smile. “So, we’ve got seven minutes. How’ve things been?”

“How can one be so important, so special?”
She whispered, as Theo looked at her, letting out a small smile ”I was asking myself the same question” he whispered,

“I would never do such thing,”
Theo chuckled at her dramatic gasp ”Good good. Got me worried there” he said and as if wiped a nonexistent drop of sweat from his forehead
“Good thing, Mister.” she said with a light smile, making him smile as well ”the best thing” he smirked

“I couldn’t agree with you more. This is just way too nice. I don’t want to walk back into the world yet.”
He wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head on his shoulder, placing a soft kiss on her head ”Neither do I” he said quietly ”But it will still be good” he added ”At this point nothing can ruin my day” he smiled lightly

Yara listened to him speak and nodded understanding, running her hand through her hair fixing it. ”I hope it works out though, you’re both pretty great people” she said with a light smirk
”You know, it’s actually pretty ironic we got matched for the game, I actually was about to look for you after it” she said ”A little bird whispered to me you won’t have sex with her… Is everything okay down there?” she raised her brow at the boy

”I was asking myself the same question”
She grinned to herself,“Isn’t that interesting. They do say great minds think alike.” She suggested with a slight smirk.

”Good good. Got me worried there, the best thing”
She laughed and covered her mouth as she did so before running her hands through her hair,“Is that so?” She messed with him as he played along with her. The time flew by and she still didn’t know how long has passed. She nodded her head slowly,“Smart,”

”Neither do I, But it will still be good, At this point nothing can ruin my day”
She sighed while scrunching her nose,“Do we have to yet?” Mare asked even though she knew they had to leave here sooner or later. It is probably going to be sooner. She spoke up again with a grin appearing on her face,“I’m so glad that this happened,” Mareena told him honestly this change made her happier than she has been lately.

What he said to her seemed to struck a small nerve, and he was satisfied but also annoyed. “Well hey, I’m only matching the same hypocrisy you dished to me.” He said with his arms raised.

“Congratulations, Brandon, you didn’t need me to make you look like a pretentious idiot.”

“That’s a big accomplishment coming from you.”

Then, Delilah proceed to play the silent game and Brandon obliged. “Whatever.” He said with a frown. Let’s face it, neither of them wanted to be in here together so he didn’t want to start anything more by talking…even though he wanted to. He began looking around the storage room, trying not to face in her direction. The awkwardness was getting to him and making the room seem more stuffy and smaller than it was. Like, the room was closing in on them. He decided to pass the time by checking the timer on his phone. There were a few minutes left. “Almost done.” He mumbled to himself. He could just leave, but he didn’t want to leave early and make her think she had the upper hand in this interaction. So he just stood there, until the timer was almost up. “Welp, this was a nice addition to my day.” He finally said.

He nodded just slightly listening to Yara say that she hoped it would work out and that they were both great people. There were still too many unknowns to know what the future would actually hold. “Oh really?” He questioned as she said how she was going to be looking for him after the game anyway. He wasn’t exactly sure what reason she would’ve had for looking for him, but the reason was soon clear with her next sentence. It was because of Jess. Yara was sent to find out what was going on of why he wasn’t having sex with her. It’s not that he didn’t want to have sex with her, or even a case that he physically couldn’t, but up until now there was a very specific reason not to. If he didn’t comply with it, there would have been even more problems for him to deal with. The undesirable case of having to wait so long for sex, was the lesser of two evils. He sighed at Yara’s question, looking right at her. “There is nothing wrong like that.”

Honestly, Sadie had no idea where she was going with the dance, and so leading it was something she should have hated the thought of - yet here she was, watching Jordan copy her moves that she was truly making up on the spot, while occasionally adding his own. As they moved around the stage, he was at one point behind her, to which Sadie took his hands and placed them on her hips - many thoughts passing in her mind questioning what she was doing, but somehow she had made it work, then taking steps away, beginning to mirror some of the techniques she had seen online trying to learn, in between a few laughs to further rid any of her tension she may have had when they started.

As they made it to the end of the song, Sadie span away from him, but very quickly she was back, this time they must have only been inches away from each other. The laughing smile she had slightly faded as their eyes met. She didn’t know what was happening, or what was going to happen, but she knew she didn’t… not like it. Her head gently tilted up, almost by instinct, when he moved closer slightly. Then he walked away. Soon enough they were a distance away, Sadie exhaling the breath she didn’t realise she had been holding.

Her eyes fell to the ground as he walked away, though quickly they returned when he started talking. Sadie was slightly hesitant to follow where he was going to sit, but she soon was sat at the edge of the stage, crossing her legs while she thought about his question, not wanting to ask about the hardships he was referring to - as it would defeat the purpose of it being an escape. “Uh… I-” Sadie started, realising as soon as she started talking that she didn’t yet know the answer. Something made her want to carry on doing it. “I don’t know, I guess it feels good… that I’m doing something… just for me. Rather than, uh, for other people, you know?”

Beryl Heights’ annual fashion show had arrived. It being in collaboration with high-end fashion designer, Constatine Laurent, it was needless to say that this show received an immense amount of publicity - perfect for Cerulean High students to make a name for themselves through modelling. And perfect for Blue Royalty to interfere, as they do every year, sending outrageous tasks to turn the event into quite the calamity.

But for now, the calm before the storm, as the students began to arrive - changing into their bold outfits or making small talk outside before the show started.

@BlueRoyalty

Notes on Points
  • Those who are currently Blue Bloods will get 20 points removed for every task not complete.
  • There will be a poll for the best outfit (for those modelling) that will give the top points!

Delilah decided not to comment on the fact that he clearly didn’t know what ‘hypocrisy’ means, but she didn’t want to waste her energy on Brandon Marshall. “Thank you, so much,” Delilah replied half-heartedly, matching his sarcastic tone. Once she protested against continuing the conversation, he was quick to agree, to which she scoffed. But, that was the last sound coming from the closet for the next few minutes, as they both actually did stand in silence. That was, until Brandon checked the timer and announced that they were almost done, to which she rolled her eyes purely at the sound of his voice.

The seven minutes were concluded with an exasperated sigh of relief from Delilah and a sarcastic remark from Brandon, to which Delilah gave no response, brushing past him to leave, not wanting to give him the time of day - especially since their time was over. How could she have slept with that nobody - the only remotely interesting thing about him being a baby.

After the painful lock-in, almost any event would be amazing in comparison. Particularly the Annual Fashion Show. On a runway where everyone is looking at her strutting in a bomb-shell outfit? Needless to say, Delilah Rose Hawthorne was in her element, and after being a guest judge on America’s Next Top Model around a year ago, Delilah knew all the best modelling techniques and poses. Not only that, but it was going to be another opportunity to get points, and she was determined to get them both done as soon as she could, so she could then put her energy into owning that fashion show.

Her driver parked the Rolls Royce outside the Old Lapis Hall, known for being the venue for the biggest Award and Fashion shows in the country. Delilah had arrived a little after everyone else due to having to organise another babysitter, and instantaneously, Delilah received the notification she had been waiting for on her phone. The Blue Royalty tasks. Delilah had a 100% track record when it came to tasks, being unapologetically shameless and willing to do any and everything to get tasks. Reading the new ones that had been sent, Delilah was confused, they seemed… almost tame. Though Delilah wasn’t complaining, while she was in the car park of the hall, she may as well do one of the tasks now, especially since she saw the subject of her task coming out of his car - confirming which one was his.

When she could see that he was definitely gone, Delilah walked over to his convertible, which worked in favour of her task. She leaned over the car door, looking around for a specific item that she knew would require a small hunt - knowing that the owner would securely hide all his possessions. She checked inside the armrest, checked under the seats and then finally in the glove compartment where she found what she assumed was the requested file by Blue Royalty.

Taking said file and standing away from the car, Delilah opened the file, skimming through at some of the names, until she saw one that she knew. Gabriel Hawthorne. A name- a person- that she knew, but at the same time didn’t really know at all, and Delilah was thrown off guard seeing it for the first time in almost a decade, and seeing it again immediately brought up old wounds and feelings she had buried a long time ago. What connection did he have with the owner of the car? With anyone on the file? One thing she knew was that she wasn’t going to leave those questions unanswered.

“Dan,” Delilah called after entering the building, interrupting whatever conversation he was in. Before he could say anything, she walked into an empty dressing room, knowing that he would follow. When he did, she turned around, barely knowing where to start. “What is this, Daniel?” She asked quietly, placing the file on the table, in between them.

When Jessica Pierce returned from her impromptu 3-year anniversary vacation from Cancun; she simply felt less motivated to go to school. Well… not so much that school that was the problem - more so; Dorian DeLoughrey - who Jess was still purposefully avoiding with every fiber in her being. So was it so far a stretch to say Jessica skipped for two weeks? But as time went on; the answer to why became blurry. She was still annoyed at him; but… not as much as she was that night. Despite that; her little school vaca did wonders. Dan hacked the school system to make sure that Jess would be fine - though Jessica still turned in her assignments online. They weren’t hard; after all. So instead; for two weeks Jessica spent a few days going back to London to hang out with her little brother and sister though; not wanting to distract them too much - returned after about 5 days. And… hung out with Kai. And by that, she means “hang out” as in “hang out”. Simply doing things together in a completely non-sexual nature because for some reason the incident where he pushed her off of him at the camping trip wasn’t the last time.

Though Jess and Kai had been seemingly having a good time; Dating, going grocery shopping for condoms, eating food that Kai would probably never eat himself. And in a weird way… Jess liked him… quite a bit. He was different but it was in a good way… well, so she thought. In all honesty, Jessica Pierce did have a streak of dating men that would never end up to more than a 3 date horror story. And her friends; namely one Andy Pierce did quite enjoy those horror stories. Perhaps it was self-sabotaging… perhaps she just had bad luck. But Kai… maybe Jessica was just kidding herself when she thought there could be something there. After all; the moment she felt that - she knew what came next: Pushing herself away so she couldn’t get hurt. It happened with Celine and it was bound to happen with Kai. But clearly, she didn’t have to worry about that.

Her mind went back over the day before; they had returned from another date and Jessica found herself pinned against the wall - legs wrapped around his waist. Foreplay; but at that point of a month of actively dating and doing nothing but making out; it wasn’t really needed. From the living room; barely making it to the bedroom - Jess was already rendered shirtless alongside him and soon would have been naked; well if he didn’t give her a strange look in the middle of it - push himself up off of her and say something along the lines of “I can’t do this - I’m sorry,”

Suffice to say: What the actual flipping f*ck

So there she laid. Practically naked. Alone. In his bed. And he had disappeared somewhere. Perhaps even left his OWN home. So Jessica did what any sane person would do - got dressed; walked over to Yara Keller’s house to spill the tea. Tea which consisted of “WHAT. THE. FVCK.”

Perhaps that’s why in addition to avoiding school - she had avoided him for the last two days. Well; until now. Jess found herself arriving at the fashion show with Dan - an even that he had signed her up for to get her out of the house. Modeling no less; though she rather be sitting in her PJs eating McDonalds and watching Brooklynn 99 reruns.

Though she walked inside with an air of purpose; sighing as she saw the man of the hour. Mr. Kingsly himself. “Hey,” Jess stated; walking up to him with a soft smile. “We should talk. Look; it’s really easy to see that you and I aren’t working out and look that’s cool. Not compatible; oh well. No harm done Kai. But we reallyyyyyy need to stop wasting each other’s time with the whole 'is he going to f*ck me or not thing because honestly it’s getting kind of old and I’m tired of it and I sooo rather be wasting my time eating ice cream somewhere. So are we good?”

Ruby parked her car, getting out and staring up at the Old Lapis Hall. She had just gotten tasked for Blue Royalty, and was honestly worried. One of the tasks could seriously hurt someone…or worse. She wasn’t sure she’d do that, but she’d definitely do the second one. And she knew just who she was going to do it too. I mean, he hated her already, so who cared? She sighed, heading into the building. She honestly thought fashion shows were stupid, and yet here she was. She walked over to a couch near the window and sat down.

Henry parked at the Old Lapis Hall, getting out of his car. He was hoping Ruby wouldn’t be there, but according to his Blue Royalty tasks, she would be. Even worse, he couldn’t avoid her if he wanted points. “I’m going to die today…” he muttered to himself, groaning. He walked into the building, seeing Ruby, but pretending he hadn’t. He just had to get his task done without getting punched or set on fire. Oh dear. Henry was not going to have a good evening.

“I have to do what?!” Marie yelled, gaping at her phone in shock. “Well…I can do both of those. Hopefully they have razors…” Marie muttered, get out of her car. She locked her car, heading into the building. She waved at some people she knew, going to ask a employee something then heading into the bathroom. She came out fifteen minutes later with half her head shaved. She had to admit, it looked good. She had changed into her first outfit, waiting to go on. She’d do her second task when she changed into her last outfit for the day. She was going to do something she should’ve done a long time ago.

Time has passed, and the day of the annual fashion show came up, along with yet another text with tasks from blue royalty. Coming into the competition so late, realistically Theo knew his chances to get to a spot in the blue bloods list were very low, probably even impossible, but it didn’t stop him from at least trying. Though his tasks were… not really things he wanted to do, so he didn’t know if he even would.

So pushing that thought to the back of his mind, Theo waited in the car, honking waiting for his sister to come out already. ‘Relaxxx I’m here’ she said as she came out the door and opened the car door sitting in. ”It’s about time” he raised his brow and started driving, bringing them to the hall where the fashion show was about to occur, and they were both about to participate in.

Theo wasn’t necessarily excited for it, modeling was his job, at this point he was pretty used to it, it was nothing special. But he did come with a good approach, and a generally good mood. The past few weeks have been… well, eventful, but amazing in their own way.

Parking the car, they both got out and went their separate ways. Walking into the venue, Theo didn’t notice where he was going and accidentally bumped into Jezebel, dropping her phone (dw it didn’t break I think) ”Sorry” he said, instinctively, and picked up her phone from the floor handing it over to her ”Sorry again. Are you okay?” he asked

Rolling up in his blue convertible; Dan parked the car giving a knowing look to Jessica sitting in the back seat. “You can’t be bloody lazy every day. Come on; wipe the ‘I would rather have gotten the worst fast food known to mankind’ look off your face and go inside. You have to go model,” Dan stated to his cousin who was attempting to give him the silent treatment for most of the ride. But has anyone met Jessica? All it took was him playing a Beyonce for the two ladies in his car to start singing along the whole ride over. Jez was sitting next to him and he only gave her a knowing look as Jess grunted; going back to sleep. Sure she didn’t sleep at 3 f*cking am but at 6 pm; she was. What was wrong with that girl - who could ever know.

“I’ll buy you a whole bloody McDonalds if you get out,” and that’s all it took for the girl to finally jump out of the car and start walking inside - soon followed by Daniel and Jezebel. Dan followed behind Jezebel; more protective of the girl than h usually was ever since the news of her pregnancy came out. Dan and Jez had a long conversation when she had first told him and all he could do was hold her. Tell her that he’d be there for her, and that was the truth.

As they reached the interior of the fashion show; Dan found a seat next to Jez - laughing slightly as he overheard the loud Jessica breaking up with Kai in front of everyone - good riddance. Though he was going to go up to the girl and get rid of Kai for her; Dan soon was distracted by a familiar voice of Deiliah Hawthorne who stated his name and walked away. Dan looked towards Jess and sighed before following Delilah into an empty dressing room.

“As much as I’d love a quickie Delilah I don’t think…” Dan started in a joking tone; though his smile dropped immediately when he saw the file in Delilah’s hand. “How’d you… get…” Daniel started but there was no use. No reason to jump around what was inside the file. Her face told it all; she knew enough. And… Daniel had never intended to lie. “Delilah…” Dan whispered; walking towards her but he found her stepping away. “I never meant to lie to you… Deiliah… I only found out two weeks ago what my parents did to your Dad…” a soft sigh left his lips as he sat down on the couch putting his head in his hands. “You were in foster care weren’t you?” Dan asked - but it was more of a statement than a question. “Your Dad was a part of a smuggling ring and so when he went to prison - you were stuck in foster care for… a bit?” Dan sighed.

“Delilah my mom faked documents to make it seem like your dad was an unfit parent which is why he’s been in jail for the last 10 years… I’m so sorry. Delilah you have to understand…” Dan started; moving his head up to meet the girl’s features once again. Her eyes… though it only hurt more. “Delilah I am so sorry.”

Time had passed since the lock-in and it was now time for the annual fashion show. Of course, the event was accompanied by a text from Blue Royalty. He knew he needed the points, so he was determined to complete both of them. However, one of them was less than favourable.

He drove towards the Old Lapis Hall, a venue he’d previously visited while attending shows with his parents. Only this time, he’d be walking down the catwalk instead of watching it. He arrived at the venue and parked his car, mentally preparing himself for the show. Not the show itself, but the one audience member he wasn’t even sure would show up. His mother. He’d invited her last minute, but he knew for a fact that her schedule was clear for the day.

Once he felt he was ready, he exited his car and pulled his bag out of his back seat. He closed his car door and turned around to walk into the venue. As he turned, he bumped into someone. “Oh, sorry.” He muttered, looking up at the person. When he made eye contact with them, he almost did a double-take. “Maverick?” He asked, wanting to make sure that it was really him. He hadn’t seen him since prom night and he couldn’t deny that he was somewhat relieved to see him alive.

A subtle excitement encashed Riker Taylor as he drove himself to the location of the Fashion Show. Not necessairly for the show itself; though that would indeed be interesting. But rather - what Riker Taylor was excited for was the surfboard currently tied around the top of his car. And perhaps for the first time; it wasn’t for him. No this longboard white with a yellow stripe in the middle; the the letters “EL” adorning it’s surface and his favorite feature - Elodie’s signature yellow heart in the middle. Riker had spent the last 3 weeks since the camping trip building the board himself to his idea of perfection. It did, indeed, scream “Elodie DeLoughrey” and now he could only hope she liked it as much as he did. For Dorian, however, Riker did have to pull some of the family strings to get a signed soccer ball by what Riker recalled as Dorian’s favorite soccer player. A heart feat; though not impossible. And both items were currently sitting in his car as he parked it and walked in doors of the red-carpet esque event.

Inside the busstling space Riker saw students, celebrities, other fashion designers galore. It truly seemed like a big deal that was mostly student-run; though he knew the designer in charge was a big name who hadn’t released a line in a few years - causing a buzz amongst the general population. In all honesty; when filling out the form to what Riker would be doing - the man had closed his eyes and eenie, meenie, miney, mo’d it and found his hand landing on model. Hence what he’d be doing today. As he reached the interior - walking towards the back room where people were getting ready; Riker smiled seeing a famiar face; one that adorned Yara Keller. Somewhere inside; part of his heart still ached when he saw her - but then again, it was the same part that Riker had gotton used to at this point. “Evening stranger,” Riker smiled; walking towards the girl who shared the apartment with him. “So I see you’re on a war with me; you used all the hot water today and made me shower in what can only be described as water that was colder than the Artic - and I’d know because I’ve been to the Artic. What do you have to say about yourself Yara?” Riker questioned; a joking smile on his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest, “AND YOU ATE ALL THE LASAGNA I MADE LAST NIGHT” he added with emphasis.

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong. That would be the best description how things had been for Kai. Since he had first come to Cerulean high, it seemed that no matter what plans he had, something always happened in ways he hadn’t accounted for. For two weeks, Jessica was gone, and in that time he was trying to put out a lot of fires that had come into the picture, including with his family, with a girl he knew, and his own plans of how he intended things to go until graduation. One by one, he was able to sort things out, keeping the issues with his family from snowballing, and with her everything sorted itself out. By the time Jess returned, Kai felt as though he had everything back on track. They hung out together, and the more he got to know her, the more she intrigued him. She peaked his curiosity, and one thing is for sure, she certainly wasn’t quite like anyone else he knew, and he could only seem to conclude that it was in a good way. Though, once again something went wrong. At that moment, all he wanted was to do everything more than just make out with her there on his bed. He couldn’t think of anything he would have rather done, but there was something Kai realized at the last second before he wouldn’t have been able to force himself away from her. There was that part of him that didn’t want to care, and just go through with it anyway, but another part knew there was something he needed to deal with first and reluctantly he left her, apologizing and saying that he couldn’t. It wasn’t any kind of an excuse, that he knew, but he couldn’t say anything more. Since then, she had been avoiding him. The first time he had pushed her away when she wanted to sleep with him, he had an excuse. She was distraught, and if he would have done anything with her, he just would have been taking advantage of her and the situation, but this second time was different. He couldn’t exactly explain why he pushed her away, but with what he had realized at that moment, he couldn’t go through with it, as much as he wanted to. When there for the fashion show, Jess came up to him, with the clear intent of trying to break up with him, something he didn’t intend to let happen. “I’m sorry about the other night. Something came up, and I that’s no excuse for what I did. We’re good if you go out with me after we leave here. Show me those food trucks you wanted me to try, and even ice cream.”

Jess looked in his eyes as she finished her words. It wasn’t the first time she had… in a way broken up with someone. Though Jessica’s relationships didn’t usually go past a couple of dates so breaking up wasn’t usual for her. Perhaps it was self-sabotage - dating people that Jessica knew it would never work out with. Hell; she had only slept with three men in her life. All three of them she hadn’t dated. Mikel, to who she had lost her virginity to had been a friend she went to the night of her disappearance just wanting all of the hurt to… go away. Which then turned into a casual thing; something she quite enjoyed actually. Theodore who was… an accident. In every way. And then Dorian… who… as of right now was a mistake… though one she almost didn’t regret. Women were a different story. She had a few more relationships with females that she felt something for; but again - pushed herself away from them before it ever got too close to. Three men; none which she had any potential with and that made Jessica feel safe. Distance was protection against any hurt that could happen and it was something that stuck with her.

So out of her countless dates with men she knew it would never work out with had she been dating Kai so long? Honestly, he was likely her longest actual relationship and she did like him. There was something about him just… beneath the surface that she craved to see more of. That she enjoyed. And she hadn’t yet self-sabotaged it. Though, in retrospect, she didn’t need to… something blatantly clear with his next words.

“I’m sorry about the other night. Something came up, and that’s no excuse for what I did.”

A soft sigh left her lips as she folded her hands across her chest - listening to his words. Part of her wanted to forgive him but another part, a part that held more authority over her than her heart - her brain - was holding back. And she was almost glad she did as he continued. “We’re good if you go out with me after we leave here…”

“We’re good?” Her mind went to those words as she raised an eyebrow. He truly had steamrolled over everything she just said and told her that they’re good. Right; because after spending the last 40 seconds explaining why they weren’t good; a half-assed apology without even a semblance of explaining what happened and a we’re good was going to cut it? Well Kai Azure; I’m not sure if anything surprises you but this will. And his sentence after the we’re good only got worse. Stating if she’ll go out with him but following it up with a confident after we leave here - almost like he expected her answer to be yes. What the hell.

At that point; Jessica had just closed her eyes and tried to tune him out as he said something about food trucks and ice cream which she could only guess was his way of finishing the half-assed excuse she was given. But that was the problem. As much as she enjoyed her time with Kai when he was being real with her. When he was dancing with the little girl; or responding to something she said that surprised him. It couldn’t compare to the uncertainty she felt every time he pushed her away leaving her with nothing but a piece of bs thing he called an explanation - which was usually an “I can’t talk about it” colored with flowery verbage.

“You know…” Jess smiled; opening her eyes to meet his eyes to meet his once again. “Give me a second,” Jess started - looking around the room until she saw a girl she recognized - walking over to her and asking the girl to come with her. “Kai, this is Tina, Tina this is the guy I heard you talking about in the bathroom that one time the one you thought was cute,” Jess smiled; seeing the girl blush ever so slightly. “So Tina; Kai’s free after the fashion show if you want to go get some ice cream with him? What do you say?” Jessica asked, “I’ll leave you two to talk,” she finished - giving one last look towards Kai which basically said - “We’re done; don’t follow me,” and walked away - back towards where the models were gathering; thankfully guarded. So Jess gave her name and walked through to the back of the room. Out of sight; out of mind right?

Maverick Weston

One night. That’s how long it had been that Maverick had spent back home in his own bed. 24 hours earlier, he was getting picked up from rehab. He had screwed up in more ways than he could count throughout senior year. He had been a mess, and it would have been hard for someone to see how the person at Candice’s funeral was even him. Maverick was still a long way from being completely alright, but he was more himself again. Pills, alcohol, it didn’t matter, he still wanted it, but he was sober and clear headed enough to know better. He had a lot to deal with the past month, but he was dealing with it. If it wasn’t for Jordan having made him go to rehab, he would’ve been in a lot worse shape, assuming that he didn’t wind up drunk driving and get into a wreak, or take too many pills and overdose. How long it would’ve taken for Maverick to reach that point, nobody could say, but that was the dangerous path he had been on. Maverick wasn’t really interested in going to the fashion show, but he didn’t have much of a choice. His dad had already taken his sisters earlier, and the two would kill him if he didn’t show up. He had just gotten there when someone bumped into him. He looked over to see that it was Dominic. There honestly wasn’t much of prom night that he could remember, but one of the few things he could vaguely recall, was kissing Dom, and he hadn’t talked to him since that night. “Hey… Dom… It’s, uh… been a while.”
