Malachi Azure

When Kai told Elodie the secret, he knew it would be a shock. People were always surprised when they found out. Kai just nodded as it began to process in her mind. “It’s not something anyone expects. You’ll get to see me around much more often, and I’ll be glad to see you. You’re different from a lot of the others.” Elodie was always someone that Kai thought of as a good person. She was a sweet girl and someone he did enjoy being around. The same couldn’t always be said for many of the others he had dealt with. He gave a slight smile when she said she wouldn’t tell anyone, then shook his head. “Thank you. And no, it’s not really. I’m… not actually supposed to be here.” Though he wasn’t supposed to be there, asking why he was, wasn’t a question with a simple answer. Nothing was simple. Not why he was there, not any part of the situation with Jessica that he had to somehow try and fix, not the rest of his life back in New York, nothing. Everything was too complicated, and normally he could manage complicated, but it was quickly getting to a point that was too much. Even he has his limits on what he can handle going on at one time, as much as he’d prefer to deny it.

In a way; Daniel knew what he was doing was a defense mechanism to protect himself. Over the years; Daniel had endured… various hostile situations. Some in his control and created due to his own idiocracy; and others so out of his control that he wouldn’t have been able to do anything even if he knew about them months in advance. And so falling into the role of “Daniel Parker;” resident assh0le who only cares about himself provided him a safety net from his real emotions. Pretending to embody this role was easier than being fully real with anyone. Real. What even was real? Maybe there was a point in his life when he thought he was real with Deliliiah Hawthrone. But clearly, he couldn’t even do that. What a joke; as if anyone in the world was actually real with anyone else. And Dan, for the most part, simply decided to f*ck trying. In this moment and with everyone else. Honestly, with Daniel Parker - even he didn’t know what was real at this point…But what he did know was that guilt embodied his entire being as he spoke to Delilah; though he kept it hidden as he had her pushed back against the wall. He was expecting her to cower. Most people did. What he didn’t expect was for her to push him away talk back to him. But more than that - Delililah Hawthorne had the audacity to ask what he was going to do to her.

Real answer? Nothing. Daniel Parker could never do anything to Delilah - no matter what she did to him. He cared… too much. So much that he had spent the last two weeks figuring out anything he could do to get Delilah’s father out of prison. But his parents were good. Better than him? No… but good enough that anything he did would take time. None of that mattered though and Daniel would never reveal that tidbit to Delilah because it was clear to him that she only saw one thing when she looked at him. The same thing the rest of the school saw. The one thing that hurt more than all the rest; the fact that she looked at him like he was a monster. He didn’t answer her question then. He couldn’t. Part of him wanted to retort; be the monster she saw in him in front of her. But instead, Daniel simply mustered up a glare, looked her up and down as if she was the most unthreatening thing in the world, and left - slamming the door after him. Perhaps if it was anyone else; Daniel would have torn them down right then and there. But no; not after what he had done to Delilah. Not ever. Though that didn’t reduce the fact that he was p^ssed.

Delilah saw him like a monster… everyone did; so why the f*ck not act like it? And he did; It was as if a switch had turned in Daniel’s brain as he took a seat at the fashion show; his features displaying his anger to anyone willing to pay attention. Though most people already avoided Daniel; and he wasn’t expecting anyone to mess with him anyways. He was, after all, Daniel Parker. Though as his eyes were glued to the catwalk of the impending fashion show; he noticed the sound of Zion Pestana attempting to discreetly carry out a task. Or at least he could only guess it was a task; unless he had vastly underestimated the inner angst of them. In any case; he ignored it. Especially once Zion took a seat next to him. And he was planning on ignoring it all, until they made the regrettable decision to talk to him. In that moment. When Daniel Parker was p^ssed beyond compare. “I suggest you sit there in silence, Zion, because the last thing I want to do is have a conversation with a person who has the mistaken ideal that I would ever take the time out of my day to talk to them for fun. Or may I remind you - I’m still a little f!cking p!ssed that you thought you could vote points off of me from blue royalty last time and get away with it unscathed.” Dan started - recalling the text he had sent the whole school telling everyone she was a little shoplifter. “Did you just happen to forget who forged your parent’s immigration documents to stay in the United States? You were lucky the first time that I didn’t accidentally leak that information to ICE and oopsie, what would have happened besides ‘bye bye mom and dad’?” Daniel questioned; his voice low and crass as he spoke to her. “Let’s just say I’m not feeling so generous today. Actually, I’m feeling quite the f!cking opposite so what the f!ck do you want to say to me?”

Elodie May DeLoughrey

You’re different from a lot of the others.

It was a simple statement that could bring a smile to Elodie’s face and as much as she wanted to let that happen now, it was hard. She was still processing what he said, still trying to understand what that actually meant and how important it might be. Who would’ve thought a guy she fake dated was… that. Someone she’d possibly be in contact with for a very long time. But Elodie soon frowned hearing Kai wasn’t actually supposed to be there, figuring there was so much behind it, so much he was hiding like a lot of people she knew. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, giving him a soft smile. “Wow… I remember wishing you luck when I saw you at prom when… you… knew,” chuckling, she lightly shook her head, now feeling embarrassed just thinking about that interaction. “Hey… I have to go and get ready, but I’ll talk to you later?” She nervously continued, trying hard to mask that with a smile before walking away from him and heading to the changing room.

Nervous. She was more than that. Standing in front of a dress that was left for her, she almost decided not to do her tasks. It would just be easier, less stressful. She wouldn’t embarrass herself. But she’d come so far… That was the only thing making her want to complete them. So that’s what she’d do. Grabbing the clothes she brought with herself, she changed into that and was now waiting for her turn in a Cher from Clueless outfit. Fun. But that wasn’t as bad as what was supposed to happen soon. And her heart was beating. Maybe her decisions weren’t the best and that’s what she kept thinking about until she noticed it was her turn to walk. Elodie might’ve talked to a few people to switch places with a girl that was originally supposed to walk after Riker… for her own reasons. It seemed like a very good idea… until it was time to actually do that. “Go,” she heard a voice from the side, making her force a smile before she finally stepped out.

And there she was. In her yellow outfit. Walking on the wrong side. But confidently walking on the wrong side because there was something she wanted to do, something that took a lot of courage. Walking right towards Riker, Elodie looked anywhere but at him, at first. She was looking around, smiling at students looking at her, with her hands on her hips and a confident walk - something Adriana Lima taught her. Having a successful dad had its perks. That was until she was close enough to Riker to stop them both and place her hands on the side of his neck, give him a gentle kiss before doing a little spin and continuing walking, just hoping her cheeks weren’t as red as she thought they were. Hoping she didn’t look stupid. Hoping he wouldn’t mind that.

Dorian DeLoughrey

Subtly rolling his eyes was the first thing Dorian did after hearing Delilah’s question. Do you need something? No, maybe for the first time he actually didn’t want anything. For the first time he wasn’t trying to start anything, wasn’t trying to provoke anyone, make fun, tease. He was there because something happened and he was concerned. “There are a lot of things I need, but not now,” he finally answered through a chuckle, in more of a joking way, before adding, “I am serious.” Maybe a few months ago he’d enjoy this moment. Use it against her in numerous ways but that would be a wrong thing to do. He didn’t want to do that, not now, not ever.

“There’s no way I’ll be modelling for that."
“What? You? Not doing something?” It was a surprise, to him at least but maybe he didn’t know the girl as much as he thought he did. To be honest, he didn’t know her at all, he just knew what kind of image she wanted to have and this wasn’t it. But that wasn’t something he should be concerned about so he simply waited for her to get up and smiled the moment she… thanked him? “Don’t mention it,” mumbling, he walked towards the door and opened it for her, leaning against it as his gaze remained on her. “We still dislike each other. Just saying,” was the last thing he added with, now, a slight smirk.

Dorian soon found himself sitting in the front row, as he should, really paying attention to everything happening around him but mostly the show. It was important for him not to miss anything because he was going to do something. The rating everyone at the fashion show profile that appeared was nothing - Dorian was going to rank all the girls because why not? Was there anything else he could do? Yes, probably, but that wouldn’t be fun like this. He was going to pay attention to everything they do and use his professional opinion to create a list and he would get so much hate for it. But that wasn’t something he couldn’t take. At this point it wouldn’t matter to him at all.

It was easy, wrong but easy. And maybe he was being biased but what did you expect? There was one thing he was trying so hard not to let distract him, one person, but it did. When the show was slowly coming to an end was when he started thinking more about it, her. Jessica. She would give him so much sht for this… and he cared because they finally had a normal conversation? They would finally talk again. Well, he had no idea what she wanted but he knew what he wanted. He wanted a chance to explain everything - the camping trip and how he had nothing to do with Emily being in his tent. So when he was sure no girls were left to walk, he got up from his seat and made his way to the exist, setting off the fire sprinklers before existing the building and letting everyone inside have a fun time.

“Did you pregame the fashion show? That’s hella risky, you could’ve fallen…”

Jess listened as the girl went on about her being drunk; which brought a chuckle to her own lips. “Drunk I am not… I may be a little high though. Let’s just say I may… or may not have eaten a weed brownie before coming here. Needed to loosen up before, well… all of this,” Jess muttered - running her hands through her hair and pulling it up into a messy ponytail to get it out of the way. What could she say? She hadn’t necessarily been nervous coming to the fashion show because Jessica Pierce had simply become used to the way people looked at her and talked about her - but it didn’t hurt to relax. She moved her head ever so slightly to the side with the question of where she was, however; laughing slightly. “Here and there,” Jess responded vaguely with a cheeky smile. “Mostly at home though… well Dan’s home,” Jess finished; smiling at the girl as she helped Jessica out of the dress - her mind trying to piece together what morning Mare could be talking about.

Though for some reason when she had replied; Mare seemed… almost upset at her response. Jessica was fully dressed in the clothes she had worn to the fashion show and in the back of her mind; considering leaving the fashion show early and hanging out outside since she still had to wait for the… conversation with Dorian. Though was distracted as Mare continued saying something about the school lock-in. Raising her eyebrow, Jess presumed the girl likely had just mistaken her for someone else. “Mare… I wasn’t at the lock-in,” Jess laughed slightly as the girl continued talking about hearing that she had disappeared with Val. “Nope… not me. I don’t… actually think I’ve talked to Valerie since I’ve gotten back. I mean I can’t exactly blame her for ignoring me but no,” Jess continued as the conversation only turned stranger. “Oh I get it - are you doing one of those blue royalty tasks that told you to confuse someone or something. If so, I think you get those points girl.” Jess laughed lightheartedly. “Are you okay by the way?” Jess questioned, pointing to her exposed skin peeking out from the jumpsuit Mare was wearing. “You’re skin… looks a little red…” Jess continued; though she had been in more than her fair share of uncomfortable clothes so she understood irritating clothing. “But no; to answer your question. I don’t remember what happened at Starbucks the other day… and I nothing happened with me and Val,” Jess smiled.

As if on cue; Jessica heard a familiar voice behind her; one Valerie Wood and Candice Clarke… wait Candice? Jess had to do a double-take looking at the girl - recalling a funeral she had went to a month ago. Nope. Not your business. Jess thought to herself. Sending Val a soft smile, “Hey Val; I was just telling Mare how the two of us weren’t hanging out during the day of the lock in - though from what it sounds like, you seem to have had fun,” Jess laughed, sending her a rakish grin with no ill intentions. After all; this was the first time Jess had even spoken to the girl in person in… years.

Jezebel didn’t really know Theo well, more she knew of him. She’d seen him around, they they didn’t ever normally interact. Jezebel nodded slightly in response to him being glad that he didn’t break her phone. “Yep, no harm done.” She shook her head when he asked if she was modeling. “No, not this time, but you are though, right?” Jezebel asked with a soft smile, looking up at him while she tucked the loose strand of hair that had escaped her ponytail behind her ear. “You probably couldn’t show up here and not get pulled into walking the runway.”

There was a point in her life that Candice Clarke could read Valerie Wood like the back of her hand. It was familiar - but why did 2 months feel like a lifetime. She was familiar yet… at the same time not. As if they were almost different people… as if they had both grown so much in the time apart. And maybe they had. Maybe the problem was that Candice Clarke had changed and Valerie had too - but part of CC would always know Valerie. She was and would always be a part of her… even if it wasn’t as easy to read her as it was before. Candice found her hands moving on top of Valerie’s. “If you’re upset… I wouldn’t blame you. God Valerie, I wouldn’t blame you if you hated my guts but I just… I thought I was doing what was best for me… but also what was best for you. I just… I never wanted you to be caught in the cross fires and I wanted to tell you that night at prom… but it was so much easier for both of us if you just… hated me. Which… is why I said what I said that night.” Candice muttered. She knew she was completely exposing herself… but if there was one person who Candice wanted to know the whole truth - it was Valerie Wood. It would always be… Valerie Wood. Her best friend. Her partner in crime. Her person.

A soft sigh left her lips when Val continued with the question of When. When was she going to tell Val? “I…” Candice sighed. “I needed to wait… for both of us to be in a good place before telling you but… I was planning on telling you in a year. One year of me figuring everything out; my new life, everything. But god Valerie… I couldn’t even stop myself from checking up on you at least once a week I don’t think I would have probably been able to hold off much longer.” C- sighed; recalling the messages she had sent Val the morning of her funeral… through an unknown account she had created on a whim.

CC had caught the smile that reached Valerie’s lips when she mentioned Daniel and it only caused her to raise her eyebrows in slight confusion… though she didn’t say anything about it as Val continued on with Dan not being a bad guy. In retrospect, CC had seen it in person; he hadn’t really asked anything in return for the faking of her death. And he was… ironically worried about her safety but did C mistake this as him being a fully good person? No; she’d be a fool to do that with everything he had done over the past eight years of going to same school as the man. Perhaps if they were the same two people they were before she… died… CC would have prodded the girl about it. The sly smile at the mention… even the defense of him when Val clearly hated the man before she left. But instead… she stayed quiet. Until the next question.

“I’m back… and no, I’m not leaving. There’s no point in running away again and I just… don’t think I could do that with you here… and Maverick… and Delilah. God, it was hard enough to leave the first time,” C whispered. “I just… I need to figure out everything. Talk to a lawyer about getting a restraining order against my mom and talk to Daniel about… well… reviving me from the dead. I don’t know everything but I know I’m not leaving Val… well maybe to come with you to NYC like we always dreamed about when high school is over,” C smiled. “And as of right now; I’m staying in my dad’s condo downtown and… as for where I was… my dad let me stay in his place in Italy after I told him I was alive,” Candice revealed.

“Look… I know this is a lot and I don’t… I just want you to have a second to process everything but… do you want to come over tonight to talk some more in a place that’s… not the changing room at a fashion show? I’ll buy our favorite Chinese takeout and we can binge some sh!tty movies?” C questioned. “And if you need time I… I get it… here,” Candice said - sliding Val’s phone out of her hand and typing in the girl’s code that she had memorized since she was 11. She then put in her new number and handed the girl back her phone. “Just… text me or call me; you know where to find me… I should probably go find Delilah. I… have something I need to talk to her about since she was probably the only other person who knew I was alive. Blue Royalty kind of f*cked that one up too but I think we’re in a better place now,” Candice added before hesitantly getting up and opening the door.

“Val… I love you okay… and I just want you to know how sorry I am.” she whispered softly before walking out of the room alongside Val and looking for her sister. Though there were eyes on her; Candice quickly found her as Dorian opened the door to reveal Delilah inside. Walking towards the girl after Dorian left; C sent her sister a soft smile… well until her eyes caught sight of the broken glass and the subtle expression on Delilah’s features. “Hey… is… are you okay?” Candice questioned, pulling the girl in for a hug without her saying anything. The two had been talking back and forth for the last few weeks through text and face time - being as careful as they possibly could… though if there was one thing that came out of it, it was the fact that CC finally had an actual sister. Or… it was at least getting there.

She didn’t wait for Delilah to ask what she was doing there before pulling the text back up and showing it to the girl. “I didn’t have much of a choice,” C whispered - looking at the girl awaiting her response.

Ketziah Drake

“Maybe just this time. Maybe not. Hard to say. May need to steal the spotlight and make things interesting next time.” Ketziah was there ready to cheer on all the people she knew that were modeling, and she preferred watching over modeling herself anyway. Ketziah smiled at what Andy said, biting her lip slightly. “And I’ve got everything I want.” She glanced in the direction of the runway as Andy had gestured towards it, and brought her gaze right back to him. “Definitely better than this.” Ketziah paused for just a moment, smirk on her face clear. “What are we waiting around here for when there’s something better?”

Theo nodded as she reassured him that there was indeed no harm done.
*”No, not this time, but you are though, right?” She then asked and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear ”You probably couldn’t show up here and not get pulled into walking the runway.” she added, making a light smile form on his lips ”Yes I am modelling” he said answering her original question ”Can’t say no, it’s what I do for a living after all” he shrugged lightly with a slight smile.

”Hey, speaking of, I need to go get ready for the show…” he said briefly glancing towards the runway ”I’ll see you around?” he smiled lightly and went off to get ready for the show. Finding his blazer outfit, Theo noticed a popped button, something he had absolutely nothing to do about now since he barely had time as is. Quietly muttering French swear words, Theo wore his outfit and tried best to make it seem like nothing was wrong with it.

Entering the runway, he walked confidently showing his outfit. It was nothing new to him, he was used to walking and posing, it was his job after all. So he did that, and went backstage to change back into his regular clothes.

“And I’ve got everything I want.” she said, agreeing with him and making a smile form on his lips ”Good” he said with a smile looking at her,
”What are we waiting around here for when there’s something better?” Andy smirked in response ”That’s a really good question” he said, playfully raising his brow ”I say let’s look for a quieter place” he said glancing around ”I think they can manage to not flood the place while we’re gone” he added with a light smile

A small smile appeared when Reina reassured her she would be okay with modelling, which did successfully rid her of a few worries. “Thank you,” Sadie replied, genuinely. But the worries that remained still were hung up on the fact that the crowd would be full of people she knew, which made it worse than if it was people she didn’t know. “I still think you could be an amazing model,” She said, lightly, but not saying it at all too seriously knowing that it wasn’t something that Reina would ever want to do.

The subject of the conversation transitioned when Sadie’s text tone went off. She unlocked her phone to see tasks set by Blue Royalty. The closest thing to a formal task she had gotten was during the Secret Santa, and she had completed it, due to it being relatively easy. But, these two tasks both seemed like a challenge, and Sadie wasn’t sure about how- or if- she would go about completing them. It seemed like winning the game was completely out of the picture for her, but she didn’t mind that. “Did you just get yours too?” She asked, turning to her after reading her own, curious of what other kinds of tasks Blue Royalty would have set - and she knew Reina didn’t care enough about the game to keep her tasks a secret.

And there they were, Valerie, and her no longer dead best friend, in the middle of a fashion show dressing room, explaining all that Valerie could never even start to assume on her own. She wasn’t mad though… she couldn’t. When Candice ran away, Valerie was not even close to being surprised. Lily-Ann… well, she was just a bloody monster.
It was all just too complicated, but with all the feelings she was feeling, she wasn’t really mad. Disappointed, yes on some levels, but not mad. Honestly, she was just glad to have her back. This was already more than she could ever wish for.

She was back now, and by what she said, it seemed like she wasn’t planning on disappearing again. They were different now, it may have only been two months but a whole lot has changed, but either way, she was glad to have her around again. She missed her best friend, with all the ups and downs of it. The one person that always managed to make her feel, well, worthy. Without even trying.

"Look… I know this is a lot and I don’t… I just want you to have a second to process everything but… do you want to come over tonight to talk some more in a place that’s… not the changing room at a fashion show? I’ll buy our favorite Chinese takeout and we can binge some sh!tty movies?..” she then said, making a light smile curve up on Valerie’s lips. That just sounded perfect. For the sake of the old times, before she… well, died. Candice then took Valerie’s phone, and after unlocking it, put her new number in it and gave it back to her. Valerie looked down at the phone, and back at the girl in front of her, lightly nodding as she said she should go and find Delilah.

“Val… I love you okay… and I just want you to know how sorry I am.” she said before turning to leave. Valerie then looked at her and wrapped her hands around her in a hug ”I missed you you idiot” she whispered and let her go ”I’ll talk to you later” she then said and watched the girl walk away.

Her attention was then taken away by one Jessica pierce, oh how peachy. “Hey Val; I was just telling Mare how the two of us weren’t hanging out during the day of the lock in - though from what it sounds like, you seem to have had fun,”
that fcuking b!tch…
”Are you fcuking kidding me?” she looked at the girl, raising her brows at her as in are you fcuking stupid or what? ”Third time’s the charm huh?” she snorted, referring to all the times she had left her with no goodbye or warning. ”Do you enjoy this? Is hurting me a bloody hobby to you? Do you have nothing better to do than play with my feelings every single time, not letting me bloody get over you and then leaving in the morning like I’m a bloody rando. Room service can’t fix everything” she asked her and added, as the hurt and the anger came flowing up at the girl’s question.

”I’ve had enough of your bloody bullsh!t pierce.” she added, and looked at her, but didn’t see her, just black in her eyes as her emotions controlled her now. She then slapped her, strong, right across the face. ”Stop acting so innocent and just stay out of my fcuking life” she said and pushed the girl ”Just leave, like you always do”

Dorian claiming to not have secondary reasoning to be there did take Delilah by surprise, surprise that he might have sounded geniune, though she there was still some disbelief in her. After only a few conversations in the past, there was almost no way he could have a genuine concern. She gave a subtle eye roll when he was so surprised at her not modelling at the fashion show. Honestly, Delilah herself didn’t completely believe it when she had said that, though as soon as she had she became more convinced of that fact. After a… minor series of events, it suddenly didn’t seem like something so important.

She looked down as they walked across the room to the exit. As he leaned against the door, Delilah did on the opposite side of it, looking back up at him, with her hands behind her back holding the door frame. “Is that a promise?” She replied when he commented that they still disliked each other with a slight smile and eyebrow raise, in a quiet tone of sarcastic hopefulness. Delilah held her glance on him for a moment, but after a moment of no words, he turned and left, while Delilah went to do the same thing but was stopped when she someone else was had approached her, asking if she was okay.

Delilah only had a matter of seconds to identify who it was before Candice hugged her, interrupting the lack of attempt she was making to answer her question. For a moment, the tension she was bearing faded. To only come back moments later when she realised what her being back here meant, Delilah pulled away and started to look around to make sure no one was seeing her. “Wait why- why are you–” Though, clearly already expecting that questioning, Candice pulled out her phone to answer before Delilah finished asking. She skimmed through the text, until she saw her own name which made her go back and read it in detail to see that Blue Royalty was threatening her to come back.

“I’m… sorry…” She said through a sigh, knowing how much Candice didn’t want to come back. “So, uh, does everyone know?” Delilah asked after a small pause.

Reina shrugged slightly as Sadie said how Reina could be a great model, knowing that Reina would never. “Maybe in a perfect world where I could actually be myself around anybody besides you.” Though unfortunately, Reina did not live in that perfect world. She lived in a reality where Sadie was her only safe space. Though, soon both of them received a message on their phones with tasks from Blue Royalty. Reina looked at her phone, unsure about the tasks. One, she wouldn’t do, and the other she was unsure about. She nodded when her sister asked if she had gotten hers too. “Yeah, just did.” She paused, rereading the message. “It wants me to send Dorian a message from your phone.” If it involved Sadie, Reina wasn’t going to keep it from her. Blue Royalty and the whole game wasn’t important enough to Reina to even think about doing it without talking to her about it, or to worry about keeping the tasks secret. Reina turned her phone to show Sadie the message with her tasks.

Riker looked at Yara bashfully as she took his bet; one that she would certainly lose if he had anything to say about it. All it took was a few filling dinners that he’d make and she’d be out like a light. Oh… did he mention he absolutely loved playing his guitar all night long. Just ask Kai or Akielah. Suffice to say; he made Akielah’s birthday a fun one… she did get him back but let’s just… not talk about that. If there was one thing Riker knew he could do well was tire a girl out… in a good way. Continuing his bantering; he attempted to hide his smile at Yara’s quip about the flying car. “No I can’t Yara,” Riker signed - acting frustrated… or the best impression he could do of frustrated in this particular situation. “My brother, the engineer, called dibs on that,” he sighed dramatically. “I mean it makes sense but he had the audacity to take it apart to figure out how it works and now I’m down a flying car too.”

Though his smile grew when she said she could handle his mother. “I’m sorry Yara, but mama Taylor is going to eat you alive,” he laughed - leaning against the wall next to his… fallen friend (aka the phone that now sat at the bottom of the trashcan). “Ironic that I can steal Jordan’s phone but you haven’t offered yours at all - scared I’ll go through it and text random celebs?” he teased. Though she wouldn’t be wrong. He would, without a doubt, do that. Actually… he was pretty sure there was a hilarious and very confused message between him (aka Yara) and Jessica Alba. But hey; this was Riker we were talking about. It was in his blood. In his veins. In his pants. Wait… no not in his pants. Huh? Annnyywayyy, he soon left her behind after the end of his impromptu funeral. And then Riker got ready for the fashion show - slightly confused at the outfit the designer had laid out for him before realizing he was supposed to be shirtless. Riker swore; these designs needed Ikea level instructions 99.9999% of the time, but nevertheless; here he was - standing behind the curtain before he got his cue to walk down the runway.

And he did; recalling what he had learned in France when he had decided, out of whim, to model. Mostly just to see what his girlfriend at the time went through during a day when she was busy. Elle… his first love. And first true heartbreak. Hand in his pocket; Riker Taylor embodied the male model runway walk. There weren’t many times Riker was professional; but at a runway for a designer, he felt it was necessary. Messing with his friends was a must, but doing that to someone he didn’t know seemed wrong. At the end of the catwalk; Riker moved the big jacket he was wearing ever so slightly to show off his body to the crowd a little more before walking back towards the back. What he didn’t expect was a certain girl walking towards him. He gave Elo a soft smile; though one filled with confusion. One - he was almost sure that there was another name following him. He would have noticed if the walk list had Elo behind him. Second, she was on the wrong side of the runway - which, as cute as it would be to tease her about it later; he attempted motioning with his eyes towards the other side of the runway though it was clear she wasn’t looking at him.

Though if there was one thing he could say; Elodie could be doing anything and she… would still command the attention of the room. His eyes especially could not leave her. She was… ravishing. Sh!t that was old-timey but she just… she was the most gorgeous thing he had ever seen. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her or help the automatic smile that fell on his features when he saw her. And there she was; almost in front of him. What he didn’t expect was for her to pull his lips down to hers; leaving a gentle kiss on his own before turning away from him. Confusion; that was the only thing that could describe this situation. Happy confusion but confusion nonetheless. Though within a second; Riker grabbed her hand before she could walk away from him and pulled her back towards his body. If Elo wanted to do that; might as well make a show of it. So as he pulled her back towards him; a slight red on her cheek he passionately placed his lips on her own; contrasting her gentle kiss and dipped her body as he did - before pulling away, spinning her around so she was facing the right direction and continuing to walk back down behind the curtains. And there; Riker stood - awaiting the girl who kept proving to have more surprises up her sleeves than he did.

A passing statement. Jessica Pierce didn’t think anything of it. Truly. Yes she hadn’t had a conversation with Valerie Wood in four years - severing their friendship in the process. As she did many other friendships. But she didn’t expect the next words that left the girl’s lips. “Are you fcking kidding me?” Though it was clear to Jess what was happening. She expected it sooner or later. She already had fights with Dorian… and a few other classmates. But she knew it was only time until another person screamed at her for leaving. Disappearing. She had her reasons; though she could never tell anyone else those reasons. As far as anyone would ever know; Jess was simply bored and decided to try something new. A floozy decision from an untrustworthy friend; clearly. So she stood there; taking a deep breath; expecting anything, everything. She didn’t - however, expect the next statement.

“Third time’s the charm huh?”

What? Third? What did she do? Jessica hadn’t talked to the girl since the day she left the day before freshman year started. A simple text; though Jess felt like she had to say goodbyes in her own way. Not directly saying it though leaving all her friends with one last conversation. Good conversation. The confusion was clear on her features and Jess tried to connect what Valerie Wood could be talking about. The anger was clear on Val’s features as she continued talking about how she had hurt her… leaving her in the morning… huh? When did she… Oh It was as if in an instant - Jess realized what had happened. Her heart dropping as she finally understood the strange conversation she had with Mare earlier. A girl who was still standing near her. Not to mention a few other students passing comments that morning when she had finally returned to school after skipping for two weeks. Jessica slowly closed her eyes as everything set in. The feeling of the first time she had realized that Anna Pierce had done this to her. And there was a first time. There were multiple times. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears as she opened her eyes to meet Val’s again, though the moment she did; she found the girl’s hand approaching her features and could only brace for impact.

She felt the sting in her face and allowed her hand to touch the numbness she now felt there. Though anything Valerie did couldn’t hurt her as much as the news that her sister had once again hurt the people she loved did.

“Stop acting so innocent and just stay out of my fcking life…Just leave, like you always do”

She felt the push; slamming her against one of makeup tables which in an odd way caught her from falling. Her mind was already racing at what to say. Though the one thing she couldn’t say was the truth. Her instict was always to protect her family… no matter how much that very family broke her heart over and over again. So she pretended. She took the role that she did many times before and did what she thought was right. Even if it probably wasn’t. Even if it would hurt Val more.

“I thought you’d catch the drift and just go along with pretending, Valerie. Was the room service not clear enough?” Jess muttered. She hated it. Hated the words leaving her mouth but apologizing when it seemed Anna clearly broke the girl’s heart would only make her angrier. She raised her eyebrows, putting her hands in her pocket in a casual fashion. “But I hear you loud and clear - I’ll stay out of your, as you said, fcuking life.” Jess responded. Her heart wanted to say sorry. Ached to say it; she apologized so many times for her sister’s actions but would it even matter? Anna clearly steamrolled Valerie’s heart. “and trust me; after graduation you don’t have to worry about seeing me again… and if you do, feel free to ignore me,” she stated.

Jessica wasn’t going to fight her. Valerie didn’t deserve that. Rather it was the opposite - she wouldn’t blame Valerie if she jumped to slap, punch, or kick her again. What could she say; so many wanted to - might as well let someone get their frustration out.

@CerealKiller - I would not (at all) be shocked if you jump her after that first statement okay

Dom watched Maverick’s response, now wondering if he should’nt have brought it up. “Yeah, so have I.” He said in response to him saying he’d been meaning to talk about it, thinking about how to follow it up. “I’ve been meaning to tell you since it happened. I don’t regret it.” He told him, dropping his gaze. He figured that getting that out upfront would be better than dragging it out and beating around the bush.

A soft smile reached CC’s features at the worry Delilah held about her reappearance. “I walked the runway so I’m guessing photos have been taken already. If someone doesn’t know - they’ll find out in the next few hours,”. Candice sighed. She appreciated it. The concern; it was something she never thought Delilah would have for her. That she’d have for Delilah but over the past few weeks - that ideal changed exponentially. A shrug was displayed upon her features at her I’m sorry - though the one thing that she noticed immediately was there was an essence of deflection in her words. Ignoring everything she had asked about if she was okay - but C didn’t push. She realized with Delilah, it was always better to wait until she came to her and didn’t push the girl into saying something she didn’t want to say. So instead of pushing further; she ignored the broken glass for the moment.

“Mind if we?” Candice asked - pointing inside indicating wanting to talk to the girl in private. And as if on cue, Delilah backed back into the room and CC closed the door. “Mom’s going to find out soon,” Candice sighed, looking at her sister with a frown. “I’m not going back into that house… f*ck I’m not going to talk her again but I know that’s going to agitate her…” she started looking at the girl as she said the words. “My dad gave me the keys to his place… it has three bedrooms and I know you have a love hate relationship with Lily-Ann but I want you to know one of those rooms will always be yours Delilah,” C smiled softly.

Biting her lip… Candice paced in the room ever-so-slightly. Another question on her mind… rather gnawing on her mind for weeks. “I have to ask… I know we’ve facetime all the time but… how is he?” Candice whispered; her voice dropping as she looked at the girl. “How is my baby boy?” her heart dropped as she asked the question. So close yet so far… and it only made her heart ache.

Zion Pestana

Zion listened, slightly taken aback by Daniel’s reaction to them speaking to him. Then he mentioned what he did for their parents. As soon as the words left his mouth, their heart dropped. “First of all, f*ck you Daniel.” They spat out, turning to face him. “I was just trying to have a friendly conversation. Second of all, we’re in a competition. Of course I voted to take points off of you. I voted to take points off of other people too. It wasn’t personal. Now, I don’t know what happened to you, but I don’t appreciate you taking it out on me.”

After they finished speaking, they leaned back, crossing their legs. They briefly pondered the thought that they may have just dug themself a deeper grave, but they couldn’t say that they didn’t mean every word that left their mouth. They knew that they were supposed to fear Daniel Parker and that there was no limit to the things he knew about them and the rest of classmates, but they couldn’t let him talk to them like that. Especially when they hadn’t done anything to warrant it.

Ketziah Drake

Ketziah smiled in response to his comment about not complaining if she were to steal the spotlight. “Somewhere quiet, and private. And would it even change anything if they did?” She said with a smirk as she finally took a step away, then turned her head to look over her shoulder at him before walking to somewhere they would be alone.
