Valerie rolled along with the dramatic story of Valerie wood, the unfortunate case of a girl who got chicken pox twice ”Medical oddity for the first time in the year of 2020, crazy things are going on here in Beryl” she said after dodging the pillow ”What a poor soul” she then added in a sad dramatic tone, and with a laugh she threw the pillow right back at the direction it came from, aka where one Candice Clarke was sitting.
“So… how is school by the way. I know we kind of talked about things while I was gone but… how’s Mav? And… Jezebel? your cousin also goes there now right?”
With the previous mention of school, the conversation went on and stayed on that topic, as cc questioned about how it was, and some specific people such as Mav, Jez and Kai. ”School is good. Mav is… well to be honest I have no idea how Mav is I haven’t seen him in like a month or so. Jez is fine I guess, I haven’t really talked to her but I think she’s still having some boy problems. And my cousin is here yeah that’s rad, he transferred here like around… um, prom” she said, prom, aka the day of candice’s death. Maybe she was alive now, but to be honest Kai transferring to c high when he did was kind of like a life saver for Valerie, having him with her in the funeral and all, she probably couldn’t have done it without him.
Though with the mention of prom, Valerie got a bit iffy, so she swiftly tried to move the topic along ”I’m on the blue royalty list, didn’t think that one would happen.” she said with a light shrug as they got to the kitchen
Valerie laughed at cc’s comment about the accidents ”Or can we?” she questioned with a playfully raised brow ”Is anyone stopping us? No, They are not” she added looking at her with a smirk, before turning away and grabbing up things and putting them on the table.
“Whip cream? Sorry, don’t know why I even asked; I know the answer is yes,”
Valerie joined with a light laugh ”Obviously, I’m not a barbarian” she said with a joking pfft
The two sat down to eat, as the conversation moved on to Daniel. Even before she spoke up, Valerie could tell Candice wasn’t happy about it, she didn’t like him, she didn’t trust him, but could she even blame her? Up until a few months ago both her and Valerie hated that man with a passion. But in that time, something in Valerie has changed, and to be honest she wasn’t sure Cc would even understand.
“Are you… sure about him?”
Putting the whipped cream on her waffle, Valerie passed the can over to cc. She would be lying if she said she was completely sure it was a good idea, because she wasn’t. But at the same time, she was drawn to him in ways she couldn’t ignore, the boy lit a spark in her that has never lit so strongly before. It was complicated, but she liked him, she really did.
”When am I ever?” she said before eating the little whipped cream that has gone to her finger. Valerie didn’t really have the best track record with being sure about things regarding her love life, but to be fair she rarely ever needed to, ”But things have changed, I don’t hate him anymore. I really don’t. he’s not a bad guy, C” she said, and as the boy ran through the thoughts in her mind, a small smile escaped her lips. ”I like him tho, I really do” she admitted.
