Brandon shot another ball through the hoop with an exasperated sigh. He was going to pick up the ball again when he heard his phone vibrate in his pant pocket. Using one of his sweaty hands, he took it out and looked through it. It was a notification from Daniel. He remembered the comment he got from him on instagram so he wasn’t expecting this message to be good. He sat down on the concrete while reading through the sweat on his face. The first name was Dorian.

“What the heck-” he read through the rest of the message coming across Zion’s name. He wasn’t surprised about that since he remembered her stealing from the store they went to. It was like an inside secret he only knew, but now it was out to everyone. Thinking about Dorian betraying him was making him angrier and angrier, so instead of resting he decided to go search for him in the school. He didn’t have to search that long because as soon as he walked in the door he spotted Dorian in front of him in the hallway.

“Hey! Are you really that greedy and power hungry?” He tugged his backpack so that he could stop walking.

A slight groan left her lips as Candice begin to wake up from her self-induced coma. As her eyes fluttered open, initial confusion filled her features as she stared at the unfamiliar ceiling, though realization set in as she looked beside her to find a familiar figure. “Hey,” she mumbled, nudging the man slightly to wake up as she grabbed her phone. Though, the 15 missed calls from her mother did nothing to reconcile how she felt. However, choosing to forget everything last night - including a fight with her mother with the added pressure of the Blue Royalty list being released today… one she didn’t want to be on. She did so by hooking up with Maverick. If anything, it worked - if only momentarily.

As Maverick woke up, Candice pulled herself out of bed and begin putting her clothes on - the ones that she had stashed in Maverick’s room in case they did end up using one of their pauses… which evidently was Candice’s last one this time around - a promise that they each only had 5 pauses to use before they had to stop… something she made so neither would get their emotions involved. Though what she didn’t expect, however, was a knock on the door followed by a “Mav are you still home? You’re going to be late for school - can you take the twins too, I have work,”

Candice’s eyes widened as she looked over at Maverick, “I thought you said your dad was out of town with the twins?” she whispered - getting her top on quickly as she tiptoed over to the window. “You distract them and I’ll make a getaway,” Candice whispered as she went out to the balcony - now fully dressed - and begin climbing down a tree that was near his window as Maverick talked to his mother. Once she was down, Candice sent him a text that she’d see him later and made her way towards her car - one she parked on the other side of the driveway.

Though she knew that sooner or later she would need to talk to Mav about what would happen once their little… thing ended, for now, that wasn’t the case. They had a good relationship with some fun every now and then. However as she started her car, Candice was distracted by the blue royalty notification - her heart sinking when she found her name on the list. “F!ck, f!ck, f!ck,” she groaned, hitting the steering wheel. It was exactly what she had been avoiding. However, the worst didn’t hit until she got a message a few moments later from an unknown number. As she read the message, Candice’s heart broke at the message when she read over Dominic’s - recalling the night in question. Not to mention the fact that he didn’t trust her…

However, the worst was yet to come when she found her relationship with Maverick had been revealed. “This can’t be happening,” left her lips which was soon followed by another call from her mother. Closing her eyes, Candice picked up the phone finding herself met with the screams on the other end. It seemed her mother had gotten the message as well - requesting she come home immediately.F!ck

Looking back in front of him as he confined walking down the hallway, he found himself face to face with Brandon. Not so happy looking Brandon. But he quickly realized why he looked like that. That stupid text.
Brandon was that one person Dorian genuinely liked, but as much as he never wanted to insult him in any way, he wanted to be on top and only focus on things that would benefit him.

“I don’t know what your talking about.” Playing dumb, he simply shrugged his shoulders with almost no visible emotion on his face. What he did had nothing to do with his friends or other students on the team, only himself. He found a way how to get what he wanted and show his family he was “worth being the captain” and that was enough for him. No one complained about it straight to his face and that meant he did the right thing. “Have I ever done anything to you? I try my best to keep us all on track and I get this?” Saying it through a chuckle, he stayed quiet once he remembered something he probably… definitely shouldn’t know about. But at this point he was too angry. Not at Brandon but he happened to be the first one openly confronting him, which he didn’t like. It was not hard to make him act completely different in just a second.

“Or do you want to talk about…” Looking around them as he quietly spoke up, he took a step closer to him without hesitation. “The conversation you had with your dad?” Furrowing his brows and slightly titling his head, he shifted his gaze back to Brandon to see his first reaction. “That’s rough. I bet you don’t want anyone to find out?” Saying that, he knew Brandon would get what he was talking about. But being a good friend he didn’t want to say it aloud now when they were surrounded by students that could easily hear him. Was it wrong of him to bring it up, like this? It was but it was better than to think about the mess Daniel made. “I can keep my mouth shut.” With a sarcastic smile he stepped back, shrugging his shoulders. “If I want to. So tell me, do I want that?”

Hearing Delilah’s remark, followed by Daniel’s ‘warning’ did nothing to calm him down. At the mention of Candice’s name, Dominic wound up yet again, this time delivering a swift kick to Daniel’s groin. “That’s for bringing Candice into this.” He spat out. “You can say whatever you want about me, I don’t care, but don’t you ever. Ever. Use my friends to get back at me.” He ran his hand through his hair, trying to contain the angry, violent part of him.

He knew that he f-ed up and as much as he hated to admit it, Daniel was right. Candice was not going to be happy with him. He had hoped that she wouldn’t find out about his little adventure in Paris and more importantly, that he had her practically investigated for something she probably had nothing to do with.

He looked at Daniel, trying to decide whether or not to help him. Choosing to show a shred of remorse, he held out his hand to offer him assistance. Whether Daniel chose to accept was then completely up to him.

Maverick Weston

Maverick awoke to the sound of a girl’s voice, and being nudged slightly. His eyes slowly opened, with a slight, sleepy smile on his face. “Morning.” Maverick was in no way a morning person, but waking up beside Candice was definitely a nice start to the day. Maverick sat up, still only partially awake, as Candice got out of the bed and began to get dressed. She had spare clothes stashed in his room just for cases like that. That night had made Maverick wonder how things would be when they were both out of their passes. Candice had used her last pause, and he had one left. They both agreed to the deal, but what would happen afterwards? What if something happened and there was a situation where they would have used a pause. They wouldn’t be able to just forget about it or act as if none of it had ever happened, at least Maverick wouldn’t.

Unfortunately, Maverick woke up completely at the sound of a knock on his bedroom door. His eyes went wide as he looked to the half dressed Candice nearby. “They were supposed to be! That’s what they told me.” He whispered back. As she went to the window Maverick nodded in response to distracting his dad. “Fine dad! I got it, but I thought you had already left.” Maverick carefully waited for the text from Candice to know that she had gotten out unseen, before letting his dad go. Once free, he sent her a message saying that his dad had postponed leaving with the twins a day without telling Maverick.

Maverick had gotten ready and was about to reluctantly drive his sisters to school when he saw the updated blue bloods list, or well his sisters saw the updated list. Maverick was no longer one of the names on the list, which sucked with people taking points from him. However, Candice was on the list, which of course Macy and Maya were excited to see, since both girls absolutely loved Candice. Maverick could admit, if he wasn’t on the list it was nice to see Candice on it. There were plenty of people he’d rather not see on that list.

However, as the Weston siblings were on their way to the school, a text came, not from Blue Royalty, but because of it. Anyone who knew anything about the current seniors, knew that “D” stood for Daniel Parker, who at that moment was likely known to many including Maverick, as much, much worse things than merely his name. Every word of the message infuriated Maverick. Surely there were worse things Daniel could have used against Maverick, things that nobody else aside from him would have been able to know or find out, but he brought Candice into it when she had done nothing. Now, everyone knew that they had been sleeping together. That would surely make things enjoyable at soccer practice with his old buddy Dominic. Not only had Maverick distanced himself from Dom and grown closer to Candice, but Maverick had been sleeping with his former close friend/teammate’s ex girlfriend. Aside from everything that was mentioned about Dominic in the message.

Then there was what Daniel sent about Dorian DeLoughrey. Dorian was captain of the team, something Maverick had wanted for himself, but Dorian cut the corners to get it. If Dorian didn’t deserve team captain, and because of it they lost the championship game Junior year when everything went wrong and Maverick got hurt, then he didn’t deserve anything in Maverick’s eyes. That game destroyed everything, and Dorian’s “mistakes” may not have just been unlucky calls, but from being in over his head. He had no trust left in the team captain anymore, that was for sure.

Maverick proceeded to get a call from his father, who was informing him that he had been irresponsible not to sneak girls in and out of his room, and much more. Their parents knew, so literally everyone that they knew and had kept the full details of their relationship from knew what they were doing. Maverick would need to see Dorian and Daniel that’s for sure, but first he needed to talk to Candice. He let his sisters out of the car before sending Candice a text.

The morning came, and after preparing all she needed she headed out to the school,
On her way she stopped at the cafe and ordered herself a chai latte to go and took out her phone as she waited for it to be ready.
Checking her notifications, she saw today was the day of the new list of black bloods, she wondered if she made it to the list again, and wasn’t completely surprised when she saw she wasn’t.
With a subtle shrug she closed the site and checked her messages, when she saw a text from an unknown number. She read it, it was long and exposed so many things.
She did notice Candice was mentioned too many times there considering she didn’t even do anything to him, so Valerie texted her to see how she was feeling about this

So much for a peaceful morning huh. How you feeling babes?

She was surprised by some, less by others… until she reached the one on her name. Well apparently people know about that now. She but her lip lightly.
She wasn’t ashamed of it, the man sure knew what he’s doing and she had no complaints , but it just turned awkward as soon as she knew Calen, aka his son was in her class.
Her order was ready so she took it and headed back to her car and drove the rest of the way to school, parked her car and headed inside.

As walking down the hall she was hit by a voice, she didn’t even have to turn her gaze towards the voice to assume that was calen, and a very mad calen, angriest she’s ever seen him.
“I don’t need to explain my sex life to you Calen” she said simply and kept on walking, she had no shame in it, it didn’t bother her as much as Daniel thought, he did offer her a way out of exposure before and surprise bich, it wasn’t even that important that she’d cross her best friend for it.
It wasn’t a new thing, that Valerie wasn’t one to care too much about what others thought about her, it didn’t bother her as much as these things bothered others, obviously it did bother her a bit she was still human and not a robot.

The lack of expression on Dorian’s face made him appear smug, which Brandon wasn’t used to seeing from him. He even tried to deny what was happening. “Don’t play dumb Dorian. Everyone got the text. I don’t understand how you can pretend like nothing happened.” Brandon chuckled, but his laugh was to cover up the fact that he really wanted to yell at him.

“Have I ever done anything to you? I try my best to keep us all on track and I get this ?”

“No you haven’t and that’s why I’m surprised. I didn’t think you would do something like this.” He could tell that Dorian was trying to manipulate his emotions but he didn’t want to back down. Suddenly, Dorian stepped closer to him which made his body tense up, wondering if he wanted to fight him.

“Or do you want to talk about… The conversation you had with your dad?”

Brandon’s frown turned into a confused expression as he tried to piece together what he just said to get into his head. Then he remembered one of the times he invited Dorian to his house.

“You can’t be talking about…” Brandon stepped back from him and ran his hands through his hair in frustration. “Are you really trying to use that against me?” He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“I can keep my mouth shut. If I want to. So tell me, do I want that?”

“If you dont want to end up with a locked jaw you would.” Brandon couldn’t believe he was arguing like this with someone he was friends with for so long, but now he was staring at him with anger.

Aline creeped up behind her and Safi giggled, shifting her weight onto her girl friend with caution as they walked. She made sure they weren’t walking too slow, it was so annoying when people did that.
“I know,” She sniffled on nothing and pretended to wipe a tear away from her face with the flat of her index. She grazed her forehead on Aline’s shoulder now, head down, and felt her own minty breath as she chuckled lightly. Lui began to talk and she turned her head to pay full attention. Her pupils dilated, expression softening.

She knew Aline kinda judged him for it, but Safiya adores his goofiness. A smirk grew on her lips and she turned back to the hallway, eyes blindly guiding her way down to the back wall. You’re so weird Lui. “Right?” Her voice deepened, glancing at Lini. She shook her head side to side, curling her lips in agreement. Shortly, she lifted her head and frowned at him sarcastically. “Weirdo” she scoffed.

Her eyes shifted away from the conversation, to Zion, who would probably have smoke coming out of her ears if this role-play were a different genre. Aline brought her back after a second though, and Saf’s face re-adjusted into a smile as she listened.

Her cellphone beeped and she immediately pulled it out of her back pocket. She slid into her messages with a heavy thumb. It was a paragraph.

Those were the worst kind of message, they made her heart beat out of her chest, and the worst part was that more often than not she was right to fret about them. Safiya skimmed knowing it wasn’t going to be good, but you couldn’t pull her from the screen. She read each line and everything in between. At the end, she let out a deep exhale when she looked up from her phone. At least it wasn’t terrifying. but she still wanted to beat the sh!t out of whoever sent that information out. She hadn’t quite put it together yet, so she took a moment…

Daniel. it must have been the kid who hacked into the speakers.

Her body tried to get angry but her mind fought back. If he gets in my way… She thought. She could take a man. Safiya could take anyone if they had upset her enough.

Zion’s voice brought her back to reality. “Zion!” She said, pulling them into her arms before they could finish. Her grip was firm and warm. “I could care less” she said nonchalantly. her jaw fit with their shoulder like puzzle pieces.

Daniel’s smirk had effectively disappeared when Dominic Lucier - the DOMINIC LUCIER - kicked him, quite literally, in the balls. Pain spread throughout his body as Daniel fell to the ground, a groan of pain escaping his lips as his hand moved immediately to protect what was left of his fragile body. Had Dominic not learned his lesson the first time? If that man thought Daniel would go easy on him now… well, he had another thing coming. Though, his thoughts weren’t too clear as momentary paralysis set in to his body. After a minute or so, through his blurry vision - Daniel saw a hand reaching out towards him.

As much as Daniel wanted to roll his eyes and ruin Dominic’s life - which he quite literally could do with the click of a button on his phone - Daniel also knew the power of patience and waiting until the right time. So, he took the man’s hand. However, at the edge of his mind - he knew: Dominic Lucier had just signed a death certificate at the hands of Daniel. The when, however,… well - that was the question.

“I suggest anyone who took a video of that delete it off your phones immediately - or well… we all know the consequences. Now please leave.,” Daniel uttered to the surrounding crowd - where students almost immediately did as he said and dissipated. Unlike Dominic, those students knew when not to cross the line.

Looking back at Dominic which his eyebrow raised, Daniel smiled. “Just a little tidbit - there is more to the story between Candice and your sister. But that little stunt just closed the deal to you never figuring out what it was. Now if you’ll excuse me,” Daniel uttered as he walked away - headed slowly towards the nurses office for an ice pack… and possibly calling the ambulance for a morphine drip.

Safiya simply replied, “I know,” to Aline and Luciano’s proclamations of missing her, but this didn’t bother either of them, as they knew she was like that. Aline was regularly affectionate to all of her friends, but Luciano was less so. Statements of affection were rarer for him, usually reserved for moments that he thought deserved them; seeing one of his closest friends after more than four months seemed like an appropriate moment to him.

Their friend agreed with Aline, scoffing at him along with his sister. He rolled his eyes for the second time, his brows furrowing. “My sense of humour is the best so shut up.” Aline laughed at this, shaking her head.

Zion had appeared in front of them after they had all read the message, and they looked pretty upset. An involuntary smile came to Lui’s lips at their presence. Despite what the message said, they were still a good friend of his. The little doubt he had of Zion dissipated as soon as they began speaking. Safiya greeted Zion with a tight hug, and Aline was quick to follow, murmuring into their ear. “Zion, te quiero y te tenemos cubierto.*” Luciano nodded, the last to join the group hug. He didn’t add anything to ease Zion’s mind, but he hoped he could convey warmth through the hug.

As they stepped back from them, Aline looked up at Zion, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. “So… do you need us to, like, beat Daniel up? Because I could definitely beat him in a fight.” Daniel was a friend of hers, but she wasn’t someone who took kindly to people messing with the people close to her. He was a cool guy to have as a friend, but if it came down to it, she didn’t have a problem severing those ties.

Thump Thump Thump

Candice’s heartbeat was ringing in her ears as she sat in the driveway of her house. She knew she had to go in sooner or later - but her fear had overtaken any logical sense. Though she heard her phone going off - likely texts from her friends, CC had no motivation to look at it. After taking a deep breath, the girl found her body moving out of her car and towards the door… her heart racing faster as she went inside.

~1 hour later~

She had been sitting on the sofa - unmoving - as her mother screamed at her. Though, it was a little better than she had initially expected - Candice reaching Blue Royalty, even though she didn’t want to be on the list in the first place, had seemingly calmed her mother down. Not to mention - apparently this “controversy” had gotten Candice a few more followers on social media to her mother spinning the stories that involved her. Though none of this mattered to Candice. What did matter, however, was a threat her mother made. Something that had been playing over and over in her mind for the last few minutes when the women had made it and stormed off. Though the screaming had lasted an hour, the main points her mother had made was that 1. She could no longer talk to Maverick… and if she did, her mother’s ‘threat’ would take place… something Candice was not willing to allow. Not to mention, knowing her mother - Candice would now have a tail on her from a PI to make sure she followed through. 2. Candice would do every single modeling gig her mother booked… even the ones CC used to have the power to say no to. and 3. every relationship, friendship, photos posted would now have to be run past her mother.

A sigh left her lips as Candice reached for her phone - scrolling through her messages from her friends - though the most notable were Val and Mav. However, as she tried to respond - her messages wouldn’t go through… meaning it seemed as if her mother truly had taken over her life.

Dominic helped Daniel off the floor, knowing that he’d just signed his own death warrant. After what was sent in that text, he was not looking forward to finding out what else he had on him. Despite that, he was mildly proud of himself for standing up to him, something no one else had the b-lls to do. He watched as Daniel addressed the crowd, delivering a threat for anyone who didn’t delete their recording of the event. He listened to what he had to say next.

This piece of news intrigued Dom but after this whole fiasco, he decided that it was probably better hear it right from the source. Out of things to say, he smirked and watched as Daniel walked towards the nurse’s office, a small smirk appearing on his face as he walked away in the opposite direction. He walked back to his locker, sat down on the floor and pulled out his sketchbook, deciding that he’d get some work done for art class.

Reina had yet to pay attention to the list of Blue Bloods until she had gotten to school. All she knew about anything with it was that some people had chosen to give her points. However upon seeing a text from someone, she thought it best to see who was on the list. The only one she decently knew was Tala, so it was nice to see that someone she knew was on that list. At that point her attention went back to the unknown text message. She hardly knew anyone, so she really only knew it was someone in the senior class that was spilling information about those students. They were surprising to say the least, each for their own reasons, though one in particular had caught her attention for sure. Whoever was revealing that stuff shouldn’t ever have a reason to do anything against Reina, or necessarily even know anything about her, but she couldn’t shake the concern of if they did know stuff about her and what they could do. Reina at that point dropped by the computer room and when she walked in she happened to drop the water bottle she had. Luckily it remained sealed, but it rolled all the way under the chair a girl was sitting in where she couldn’t get to without disturbing her. Reina awkwardly walked over and tapped her on the shoulder. “Hey, sorry to bother you… but can I grab my water bottle? It rolled under your seat.”

Delilah gasped at the second hit Dominic took, but that quickly changed into a loud and long laugh that filled the silence. She almost thought she could have been wrong about Dominic having no balls. Almost. Dating Candice Clarke automatically took away any credibility for her. But nevertheless, she knew that it probably wasn’t intelligent of him to do that, especially after Daniel had just proved he could ruin people’s lives - and everyone knew that Dominic had automatically become a target again.

“Congratulations, Dominic, you’re an idiot,” Delilah commented when Daniel left, as if to say it was inevitable that this would now come back to him and be even worse than what he just did to Daniel. She followed that with another laugh, walking into the croud of people and disappearing to leave Dominic stood in the middle of the observing students.

Walking with a purpose down the corridor, she found Mikel Lucas and Jezebel Sloane talking. But there was only one of the two she needed to talk to. "Jezebel, Mikel, well done for getting on the Blue Bloods,"Delilah stated, with absolutely no hint of being genuine in her voice. Neither of them deserved it nor even needed it, and Delilah knew their places were extremely temporary. But, sure, she’ll let them have their 5 minutes of fame. The fake smile on her face dropped as she turned to the girl. “Now, Jezebel, f*ck off, I need to talk to Mikel.”

Valerie took a moment to turn to him, and Calen was disgusted to see the nonchalance in her face. No apology. No sympathy. No guilt. The answer she gave was blunt and she attempted to quickly cut off their conversation by starting to walk away. But there were many eyes on the pair, expecting something to happen, as they all knew what they were talking about. When he looked around, Calen was instilled with confidence as he could see obviously whose side they were on.

“So you don’t feel bad at all?” He asked the back of her. No, Calen wasn’t going to get an apology, that was obvious now, but at least he could get Valerie to feel some condolence. His eyebrows raised as he continued, waiting for the answer. “You don’t feel bad that you may have singlehandedly destroyed a family? At all?”

Sure, it wasn’t completely accurate that this would have ruined the Hunter family. It takes a lot more than that to do that. Everyone in the family knew that Warren had regularly cheated, it was a known and dismissed fact. But Calen definitely thought of him differently after now seeing one of the girls he had an affair with, and it made it real to him now, and he certainly wouldn’t be looking up to him as he had before.

She ignored him, she ignored the other people around them that were not so subtly inspecting them waiting for tea to be spilled.
Obviously sleeping with a married man wasn’t exactly something she’d add to the list of things she’s proud of, but she still didn’t feel like she deserved to be followed around the school and yelled at by an angry boy.

As these words came out of his mouth Valerie stopped in her place and turned to look at Calen.
“You do not they to waltz around blaming me for being a home wrecker, maybe next time you should teach your father a thing or two about honesy. Trust me finding out there’s a you in it wasn’t exactly thrilling for me either.” She said while her tone was getting more annoyed than it was before, gesturing at him with her hand as she said you.

A smile forced its way onto Zion’s face as their friends hugged them. “Te quiero también.” They responded, the energy coming from their friends making them feel more at ease. At that moment, they didn’t care what the rest of their classmates thought about them, all that mattered was that their friends trusted them. They pulled away from their friends’ embrace, a chuckle escaping their lips as Aline threatened to beat Daniel up. “Gracias Aline. I appreciate the gesture, but I don’t want you getting in trouble, or worse, being next on Daniel’s hit list because of me.” They told her with a soft smile.

Kara was focused on her favorite Dua Lipa song, New Rules, when she felt something roll under her feet. She looked down and from the corner of her eye saw someone standing near her. Her eyes landed on a pretty girl looking down at her. “What?” She said bluntly while taking off her headphones. One of the most annoying things to her was being interrupted while listening to music.

“Hey, sorry to bother you… but can I grab my water bottle? It rolled under your seat.”

“Yeah, whatever.” She got up from the chair and waited for her to grab it.

“What’s done is done, I can’t change it,” saying it in a calm tone and with a simple shrug, once again, he tried to avoid that topic hoping people would just forget about and stop asking questions. “It’s not a big deal, we’re almost done with school just… don’t.” Sighing as he ran his fingers through his hair, looking to the side at students walking by them, some even glancing at him, not in the usual way. What actually bother him was the fact that Daniel did that only because he was… what? Petty? Mad because he wasn’t on the list? When he thought he couldn’t hate that guy more than he already does he proved him wrong.

Dorian’s parents won’t be that mad at him. Hopefully. Well, he does expect some lecturing from his mom, since she is a psychologist and a therapist. Something he never liked because she would always analyze his moves. His older brother, on the other hand, will probably laugh at him, joking about how he earned his spot and didn’t cheat his way to the top, but who cares about that. At least that would be the main topic in the house now.

“And of course I won’t tell, what do you think I am?” He whispered looked back at him, visibly angry for so many reasons. Not valid reasons. Attacking someone and then getting attacked by them doesn’t make you a victim, but it surely did tick him off. It was just a power move, a defensive mechanism to make Brandon stop talking about the thing he read in the text. Unlike other people here, he wouldn’t share the secrets of other people… just like that. Especially people he cares about. “That’s a serious topic. Not something everyone should know about,” trying to sound genuine and calming down just a bit, he took a step back and crossed his arms, relaxing his whole body.

What people should talk about instead is Valerie, someone he didn’t like very much for a very long time now. What she did was, just - a scandal. Ignoring the part about him, he actually enjoyed that message. Who would’ve thought she would be sleeping around with such a celebrity, such a big name in the movie industry? Calen’s dad. It seems like every father here was not a good father after all.

Avocado toast with an orange and protein shake. Perfect breakfast she had on her balcony while reading the cheesiest novel she could find on her shelf.
Waking up earlier than usual and feeling just a bit happier than she normally does, she had 2 hours before she had to get ready for school. It was a morning like this she loved the most. The house was quiet and everything seemed calm; when it was not like that in reality. At least that’s how she felt ever since she, not in a nice way, found out about a certain affair. She tried to seem as normal as possible around her parents but they’ve seen a lot from her so she didn’t have to worry about looking weird or uncomfortable, it wouldn’t be something they had to worry about it.

Finishing her breakfast, she got back inside and picked up her bag before walking back to the kitchen to wash the plate. From what she could tell, Dorian was still asleep while she felt energized and ready for this day. She almost never walked to school, she almost never went to school alone but she still had so much time to waste. Taking her AirPods from her bag and playing Billy Joel, she decided to take a walk and enjoy the morning as much as she could.

The list was probably the last thing on her mind. She forgot to check it, for a second she even forgot about the whole game but she was quickly reminded of it when she noticed almost everyone looking at her while she walked by. Putting her earphones back in her bag as she walked to the nearest list of names, she furrowed her brows trying to read it. And when she did a big smile appeared on her lips. She was on it, again. With a proud smile on, she attempted to chat with every younger student congratulating her and giving her compliments, making her feel like the school celebrity. Something she actually always wanted to be. But soon she kindly excused herself and started walking towards her locker.

The moment she opened her locker, she could hear her phone ringing. What made it weird was that it seemed like everyone’s phone went off at the same time, making her confused but very curious. Reaching for her phone, she leaned against the lockers, getting more flustered as she realized she received a text from an unknown number. A very disturbing text.
Reading through it, she couldn’t help but notice her brother’s name on it, taking a deep breath in before she continued reading it. And even if he was her brother she didn’t know how to feel. You should defend those closest to you but she couldn’t believe he has done that. But at the same time it didn’t surprise her; knowing him he would get furious over this text but he would also try to look like he doesn’t care about it.
There were also other things she couldn’t believe she was reading about. How could anyone have such information on so many students? There was one person that came to her mind but she refused to believe it was him. Taking everything in was already too much. But one thing made her… happy, in a way. A thing she read about someone that accused her of having a disgusting family. She could use that but she wasn’t going to make it worse for the guy, she was just not like that. And this was the only time she was happy about not getting any attention. About not being included in something like that. She would like to keep her spot o the list.

Putting her phone in the pocket of her jeans, she looked around noticing small groups of people starting to form, probably gossiping about this sudden text. Nervously crossing her arms, Dorian was the only person on her mind at the moment and she tried to spot him but he was nowhere to be seen.
