ᴅᴀɴɪᴇʟ ᴘᴀʀᴋᴇʀ:

“What do you want, Daniel?”

A sigh left his lips at the rampant hostility of the girl - granted it was understandable with what she had likely just gone through. After all - Daniel might have been busy for the past half an hour planning a promposal that was not even his own, but even he had gotten at least 12 text messages with videos and photos of the confrontation that occurred between Candice Clarke and Delilah Hawthorne. Honestly, who ever thought little CC would ever have it in her to say anything besides ‘excuse me’ and ‘please and thank you’. Nevertheless, though Daniel could easily find himself in Candice’s shoes - he was selectively choosing not to compare this situation to his own. That… simply brought up too many memories he didn’t want to resurface .

His eyes had fallen onto the rose now back in his hand - a subconscious thought about the futility of everything that had happened recently. Though brushing the unnecessary thought back down where it belonged, he shrugged - placing the rose in his own ear as a joke. “What do I want? Such a difficult question Hawthorne. Sometimes I ruin people’s lives - after all it’s always a fun little hobby. Sometimes I just want to be on a beach in the Caribbean’s surfing. Other times I-” Daniel stopped his rambling finding the girl in front of him becoming visibly annoyed by his antics. “Right now - I wanted to ask you if you had a date for prom? I think you and I could cause more than just a little trouble.” Daniel smiled softly.

Saturday 9:00pm, 20th March, Beryl Heights Hall

The highly anticipated night had finally arrived: Prom. Whether it be for the potential points intake and the opportunity to shake up the leaderboard in the game, to advance further in their love life or just the night itself, almost everyone had been excited for this day to come.

Though it seemed like any other Prom, it would soon stand out from any other when the tasks sent earlier that night began to be executed. Not only that, but another unique feature of the Cerulean High Senior Prom was the beautiful yet secret-exposing display known as the Confession Tree that would add extra chaos to the night, as if the turmoil caused by the tasks would not be enough.

It was 9:00 on a Saturday and Ruby was laying in bed, watching True Crime shows on her phone. She was pretty sure prom was today, but no one would miss her. They never did. “That’s brutal.” She muttered, a crime scene flashing across the screen of her phone. She reached over to the bag of chips sitting next to her, eating one. “This is nice…” She said, contentedly, really getting into the show. “I wonder if they’ll ever find her…she just…vanished.”

The day was no less than perfect, spending the day chilling at home with Lui was more than he could ever wish for. It was just perfect, Gio wished it could always be like that but he knew that’s not realistic, at least not now.
But he did enjoy the little things as much as he could, and that day would definitely stay in his memory for a long long time.

From the simplest things, like sitting in the car listening to music with no need to fill the air with talking, like him taking a bottle from the fridge letting himself feel at home, like a little house tour, to the bigger things, like being able to sit together on the couch and cuddle to the tv, like being able to kiss him just like that in the middle of the house, or even just hold hands.
The simple things yet such special things that make the puzzle that was this. And this was the best he has ever had.

prom day

To be honest, prom really excited Gio but at the same time terrified him to his bones.
Standing in front of the mirror in his room, Gio looked at his beige and white shades outfit one last time which was still elegant in a way even though it wasn’t really traditional prom clothes. Gio himself was never a suit and tie kind of guy, even though he did own a few, mostly from family events, though it wasn’t really his style.
Leaving his room headed out to leave, he opened the front door but was stopped by his mother calling him before leaving.

He always appreciated his mother more than his father, as narrow minded old outdated opinionated as she was, and as much as she was never there to give the time and effort and be a good mother, she still had a bit of a softer heart than his father, his strict stone hearted father, which was a thing Giovanni did appreciate about her.

He turned to face her as she looked at him, and from the subtle raise in her eyebrows he could sense she was slightly disappointed he didn’t wear a proper tuxedo to such an occasion.
She fixed the blazer so it sits better and tidier in her eyes “Bene” (Good) she said and nodded “thank you mamma” Gio said with a light smile and nod, he was prepared to go but it seemed like his mother had something else since she was still standing there looking at him, she was quite a busy woman she doesn’t usually have this much time to just stand and talk to her son, or at least she doesn’t usually tend to use her free time for that…

“Take this” she said and handed him a small box, seemed like a jewelry box “what is this?” He raised his brow and asked with confusion in his eyes as he opened the box to see a beautiful necklace with a white crystal pendant “Your father gave it to me back on our prom night” she told him, one thing Gio did like about his parents was how even though he didn’t like many things about their relationship, the fact that they lasted since high school was always a point to appreciate in his eyes “And I want you, just like your father, to give it to the girl you’re taking to your prom” she said, assuming he has a date, and that it was a girl (obviously), she truly believed one day Gio would marry I nice Christian girl from a good family, and they’d have a good family of their own. At first they were a lot more focused on the other person being Italian (in addition to all the other stuff) but since they live in America they seemed to let that part slide a bit, even though they would still prefer it by far.

After staying silent for a moment, just looking at the necklace in his hands Gio closed the box “I can’t” He finally said and gave her the box back, she looked at him with confusion in her eyes “why not? Of course you can” she said, not pleased with his answer, Gio lightly bit his lip looking away, avoiding making eye contact “Trust me, I can’t” he said trying to make her let it go “I love the necklace, but please keep it” he insisted, “do you have a date?” She asked trying to see what on earth could make him say no to passing on a gift from his parents to that girl ”Yes I have a date” he said, and his heartbeat was beating like a hundred thousand beats per second with every second that passed ”So why can’t you give it to her?” She asked, partially bothered by it

Gio’s eyes widened lightly at the sound of that specific question, as his eyes were following a bird on the nearby pavement. He stayed quiet and turned his gaze to face his mother once again, not avoiding eye contact anymore

”Because he’s not a girl” he said and turned away to leave before she could say anything,

His mother on her side wasn’t actually going to say anything, at least not soon, since she was too busy being in a state of utter shock, frozen in her pose staring at her son,

Gio stopped outside the door, still facing away,
“I know you won’t accept it… and hate me for it…” he said and clenched his fist, a single tear rolled down his cheek, “But I can’t keep lying and denying what I feel, I love him mamma.” He admitted, he never admitted that out loud before, but it was true, and he knew it for a long time now, he knew what his heart was telling him, he was sure of it. “and nobody can take that from me.” he said and left the house,

Luckily his father was not home at that moment, for a retired man he was still very busy for some unknown reason. But Gio knew it wasn’t long until his father was told about this, his mother wasn’t really one to keep things away from her husband she never even argued with him, in her eyes he was just the one to call the shots, arguing or hiding things from him would just be wrong.
And at the second Gio’s father knew about this whole talk, Gio would probably find himself disowned, kicked out, cut off or god knows what, but he couldn’t take it anymore. Living in a house and a life which he never belonged in, what’s the point in that? Was it even worth it?

He got in the car, luckily the car was under his name so either way they couldn’t take it away from him, which was a relief.
His heart was still beating so so strongly, technically he just threw away everything he had in a matter of a few words. He rested his head back and took a deep deep breath trying to relax,

He had to get away from the house even though he needed to relax before going to the prom itself.
He drove his car over to a nicer quieter corner, and turned on the radio, resting his head back and letting the music beat in his ears and course through his veins.

What was he going to do now?
His mother’s facial expression was stuck in his mind, the shock in her eyes, could even be terror. Why was it that hard for them to accept it? He was still the same person he was before… why does it matter so much? Why can’t he just live and love in peace?

He could go with the safe route, go with Els to the prom, keep hiding just like he managed to do all these years until now, lie to himself, lie to his parents, lie to everyone around, keep hiding in storage facilities and what not, but he didn’t want to, he hated the fact that he knew in his heart that the maid was the only person in the house that would accept him purely for who he is, and she wasn’t even technically part of the family. Only to Gio in his heart she was.

He didn’t want the life his parents dictated for him, he was a grown up man already, he knew what he wanted in life and this, this just wasn’t it.
Was risking everything and probably having to sleep in his car for now worth it? Probably not, but it also was for so many reasons.
Sometimes you have to struggle in life for the things you want and need, not everything comes easy.

A while after, he decided to head to the prom, trying to take things off his mind and focus on the fun times ahead (And Lui’s birthday!).
Deep inside him he was excited for both, he just had to bring that excitement out from the deeps of him it went hiding in. He got to the venue parking, he looked outside, the place was gorgeous, so magical…

He smiled lightly and got out of the car, grabbing the small box with Lui’s birthday present in his hand and barely managed to shove it in his pocket. His phone was silent, so he didn’t notice the blue royalty text he got, not that he minded it, but he didn’t even notice. He didn’t want to be available, he wanted to enjoy what he had now and not be bothered by his phone or potentially his parents calling.

Relaxing took him a while, so he wondered if he was late and if Luciano was already there. He wondered what he was wearing, he’d look amazing in a suit Gio’s mind wandered a bit, but soon enough he shook his head lightly coming back to reality, stop fantasizing and go in silly boy.

We went inside the venue, and stood there looking around, there were white flowers and lights decorating the whole place, it was no less than beautiful.

To say the least, Valerie was excited for prom.
She had the perfect dress, she had a date which she was still intrigued about, she was in the car on her way to the venue, but overall she just had a good feeling about this evening, it was going to be fun.
Hold that thought- phone buzzes

  • From: Blue Royalty
  • To: Valerie Wood

Valerie’s brow popped up at the sight of the text on the screen, she read the tasks and as she read the first one, a frown formed on her face pushing away her thoughts of a fun evening.

Was she going to go against her own morals for a fancy title and some perks? Was it worth it?
For Valerie her friends and loved ones always came before anything else, but was it that bad? It’s only a task…

She sighed and closed her phone as the car reached the venue, her father’s assistant drove her over, which was quite convenient since she wasn’t planning on driving now.
She took a deep breath and refocused herself in rad thoughts, “Thanks Raj” she said before getting out of the car and headed for the venue.
The venue was gorgeous, there were lights and flowers, decorations everywhere it was just blissful and fun to look at,

She walked in and looked around for her date, or… the bar.

Approachable but also bruh @Caticorn grab ya date

“Okay - 3. Remember to keep your chin up. 2… you look gorgeous Candice, make sure to smile. 1 blow out the candle… now.”

Doing so - Candice made sure to alter her facial expressions into one of genuine excitement - even if there was nothing “genuine” about it. Why? Well, this was only the 56th time she had blown out the candle so that the photographer could take candid photos for her birthday post.

As she waited for instructions - her marketing team had gathered around the photographer - picking which photo was right. “Aright we’re good here - the hairstylist and dressers are waiting upstairs to get you ready for prom.” Candice heard and sighed as the birthday cakes used for the session were taken away. After all - her mother would never let her CC cake right before she had to get into a dress for prom… not that Candice was exactly hungry anyways. Grabbing her phone, Candice walked upstairs to her bedroom where her mother’s “team” had been preparing and took a seat on the chair so they could start working on her hair - taking the chance to look at her phone for the first time that day. Without fail, Candice found hundreds of texts, missed calls, and posts for her birthday. She wished she could have done her tradition of spending the day with her friends - usually, it was the only day her mother let her have to herself - though, with prom, that was no longer an option.

So much for turning 18.

Looking through the posts, Candice took a few moments saying thank you on Instagram through posts and DMs as well as her messages - finally getting some freedom back on her private life from her mother.

To: Val
From: CC
Message: Thanks for the happy birthday love babe
Sorry we didn’t get to raid Bloomingdales like usual but I’ll see you at the dance in a bit!

Though within the happy birthday messages, Candice did notice two that stood out. One from Blue Royalty that she was actively avoiding looking at and one other that made her heart race.

From: Unknown
Message: Tonight.

Quickly looking behind her to make sure no one was looking over her shoulder - Candice deleted the message and put her phone away as her hairstylist finalized the updo look and the makeup stylist took over, soon being followed by the dresser who put her into a pink lace dress and fixed any final tightening that needed to be done.

Heading back downstairs - Candice walked over to the next photo set up. Posing as she waited for Calen to make his arrival so the two could finish photos and make a quick escape. As little as she was looking forward to him being her date - at least the moment she left her house, she didn’t have to pretend she liked him.

“You don’t sound so happy about it,” half-joking, he crossed his arms while a slight frown formed on his face. He could see she was confused with everything but he couldn’t blame her. Not wanting to explain himself again, or tell some little white lies of why he chose her, he quickly added, “That makes me happy.” With a sweet smile he placed his hands back in his pockets, for a second looking around them as if he was waiting for something to happen. And he was, but he also didn’t really want to know anything about it. He let Daniel do the dirty work and he only wanted to know if it was successful. Not how and what he did.

As his brought his gaze back to her, his smile only grew bigger, hearing she accepted his offer. “Perfect,” slightly nodding his head with a hint of excitement in his voice he made a few steps back, preparing to leave and investigate. But something else came to his mind. “Or do you maybe want to go now? Huh, what do you say? We can also get breakfast somewhere?” It seemed to him like he was trying to do the exact same thing she did when they first met, but he didn’t care - if it meant he was on the right track. But this wasn’t just a game to him. He actually liked her company so he wasn’t… that selfish.

Unlike other parties and the very first formal event they had at the begging of the school year, he didn’t want to drive his car - he wanted a limo. What a better way to make a perfect entrance and get noticed. He wanted all the spotlight to be on him tonight, when he becomes the prom king. But over the last week, his urge to win was slowly starting to get replaced with simple excitement. This was their last year after all and he actually wanted to have some fun with his friends and remember the night. As much as he wanted to do his tasks, he was hoping this night would be drama free, but knowing everyone else and knowing what his tasks were that wasn’t likely. Sitting in the limo with his phone in his hands, he looked over the messages he received, trying to think of the best way to do what he was supposed to do - if he wanted to climb on top of the list. One would possibly start a fight while the other one would just make him look bad - something he was trying to avoid.

Taking in a deep breath and putting his phone down on the seat next to him, he noticed the limo slowing down, meaning he was in front of Sadie’s house. With a red bouquet he got out and let his gaze wander around the place as he fixed his shirt, analyzing everything. It was a nice but rather simple house - compared to all the houses he’s seen, but he couldn’t be bothered with it right now. With slow steps he approached the door and knocked, looking down at the flowers he was holding for Sadie… once again. That was what he was supposed to do, right? Bring flowers? It seemed like the right thing to do even if he wasn’t into cliches, and he even tried to make everything match. It was a smart idea to bring Sadie shopping with him, even if that’s probably what everyone else did, he wouldn’t be surprised - not only were the two of them matching, but he could think of little details and get her red flowers, just like her dress. He could get some personal points that way.

But that shopping only made him think of something that happened right before. If someone told him he would be seeing Jessica again he wouldn’t believe them, he would hope they were lying and try his best to avoid that happening… but it did. Unexpectedly. And he hated every part of it.
The last thing he wanted to do that day was go with Sadie for some breakfast and end up sitting at the table with Jessica and Jezebel.

Elodie May DeLoughrey

Elodie was always that one girl that wanted to look like a princess for prom. Like Belle with her puffy, yellow dress, dancing with a guy she liked. She wanted to win prom queen with that guy standing right next to her, but that wasn’t what was happening. Instead, she was going with a random person she let Daniel pick, sitting in her room in a black dress, knowing she would be late.

An hour ago she had one of the girls working for her dad over, doing her makeup while she tried not to look worried in front of her or her family. She even pretended to know who her date was, saying it was a surprise and they will see - even if her mom tried to investigate, she didn’t want to tell her what happened. No matter how much she wanted to tell her mom because she knew she would listen and… help, she didn’t want that. She didn’t want anyone to know who brutally she got dumped? How she had to ask her friend to find someone for her. She even had to lie about the teddy, saying how she got it from her mystery date. No matter how much it hurt, it remained on her bed for her to cuddle it when she wanted to sleep. Her gaze was set on the teddy as she, for a second, imagined how things would be now if she had the date she was hoping for, and almost had. What would she be doing now, how would she feel, would it feel just a bit like she envisioned it? Would have that been the perfect prom?

With a sigh, she looked back at the phone that was in her hands, impatiently waiting for a text… or something. Waiting to hear her mom calling her, saying her date was there. Waiting for Daniel to reply to her messages. She refused to open her text from Blue Royalty, not wanting to worry about that when she had other problems. She wasn’t in a mood for that, she even considered giving up on winning. Looking up at herself in the mirror, all she could see was a sad face trying to put up a smile just to convince herself everything would be alright. Her date was coming and she would have the time of her life, no drama, no tears, just happiness… Or not. Unlocking her phone once again, she send Daniel another message, now getting up and walking to the window. Crossing her arms, she leaned agains the wall, impatiently looking out of the window, hoping for a car to pull into driveway.

Dominic straightened out his bow tie for the twelfth time as per his mother’s request. He pulled up his sleeve to take a look at his watch. Crap. He thought to himself as he realized the time. He let his dad take a few pictures of him, trying to block out the sound of his mother pointing things out. “Maman, I’m going to be late.” He informed her, taking his keys and the corsage he bought off of the table and quickly leaving before she had the chance to find something else that she didn’t like.

He got into his car and drove to the venue. A quick glance at the corsage in his passenger seat reminded him that he forgot to pick Valerie up. Doesn’t matter now. I’m sure she’s already there. He thought as he reached the venue. He parked his car and picked up the corsage, closing the car door and locking it. He walked as fast as he could into the venue and searched around, trying to see if he could spot his date. When he finally found her, he practically ran over to her. “Valerie, I am so sorry. My mom was hounding me and I totally forgot.” He apologized, knowing that it probably wouldn’t cut it. He offered her the corsage, which featured a white rose on a dove grey ribbon. “I bought this for you.”

A cheeky grin met Jordan’s features as the song he and his band were singing for soundcheck came to an end. There was always something about singing on a stage for a live audience that excited Jordan, despite the fact that he never went into the industry to become a singer. Hell - Jordan was still adamant to continue choreographing despite encouragement from his agency to fully transfer over into singing and another push into acting which he wasn’t yet fully convinced on.

“Alright, can we raise the pitch on the second bridge in that song and lower the volume a little in my earpiece. It was a little hard to hear during the second part - but besides that everything is running great on my end,” Jordan said into the mic towards the sound tech crew who nodded at his word. “Guys, how do you feel?” Jordan asked his band, looking over towards his drummer, guitarists, piano player, and dancers who added in issues about lighting and other stage effects. Letting his band talk - Jordan added “I’ll let you guys deal with that - I’m going to go pick up my date,” resulting in a few “ooohhs” from his bandmates to which Jordan rolled his eyes and playfully shushed them. They were all apparently “shocked” he had actually gotten a date for the prom - especially since from the moment the band had been brought together by his agency, Jordan Williams hadn’t been on many dates - let alone let any of his bandmates meet the girl he was singing about. Though many of them thought the girl he was taking tonight was her, Jordan wasn’t going to correct them. After all - Even Jezebel Sloane probably didn’t know he used her as inspiration for a few of his songs, why would his bandmates need to know?

Going into the school bathroom - which brought memories in itself - Jordan quickly changed into the Burgundy suit he had brought, though frowning when he saw the time quickly followed with a call from Daniel himself. Picking up the facetime, Jordan immediately said “I know. I just got changed and I’m headed there right now. Please tell Elo I’m sorry and I’ll make it up to her!!” Jordan stated frantically as he fixed his hair and quite literally ran out to the white limo that the school had paid for as a “perk” for him coming back to sing.

As Jordan got into the limo - a luxury that even after three years of getting similar perks, Jordan wasn’t used to - he opened his phone back up to notice he had gotten a text he never expected nor wanted. One from Blue Royalty. Though at first, Jordan thought it was a joke - since he had made it adamantly clear he never wanted anything to do with the game even when he went to the school two years ago - it wasn’t. It was indeed a list of tasks that he was “meant” to do, however, what caught his attention was the ‘welcome back’ note attached especially for him - seemingly telling him that Daniel wasn’t the only one who knew Jordan had re-enrolled at Cerulean High for the rest of the year.

Though Jordan didn’t have much time to ponder over the text as he felt the car come to a stop with the driver indicating they had arrived. Putting the phone in his pocket, Jordan grabbed the pink and gold bouquet of flowers he had bought for the girl - something he found Elodie would enjoy - along with a burgundy corsage to match, and lastly, a handful of pink and red baloons - which he had a slight plan for.

With a deep breath, Jordan exited the limo with a slight thank you to the driver and walked up to the door - though making sure the balloons hid his appereance. Ringing the doorbell, Jordan patiently waited until the door was opened - waiting but a second before releasing the baloons to reveal to Elodie that it was him. “Forgive me for being late?”

Valerie was mesmerized by the beauty of the venue, she always loved lights and flowers and the way they were tonight was beautiful in her eyes.
Soon enough she spotted Dominic walking in, she giggled as he practically ran to her, it was cute.
Valerie, I am so sorry. I totally forgot to ask you for your address.
“Don’t worry about it, my dad’s assistant brought me here” she said with a light smile looking at him, he was wearing a nice black suit with a bow tie, for some unknown reason, Valerie always found bow ties slightly funny in a way but it actually looked quite decent on him so it was nice.

I bought this for you.
She looked at the corsage and smiled, it was pretty and she definitely wasn’t even expecting it which was a nice surprise, (and did I mention it was pretty?)
“Awe thank you” she smiled and took it “it’s so pretty” she said while putting it on “I love it” she said and looked at it and then back at Dom with a smile

Luciano Ribeiro

The day they spent together was perfect in Lui’s eyes. It was everything he wanted it to be, and he relished the simple pleasures he had of cuddling with Gio or even just getting to enjoy a movie with him in the comfort of his home like normal couples do. It was a lovely afternoon, and even when he got home, his bubble wasn’t burst. For whatever reason, his mami didn’t mention his absence from school and he got to spend the rest of the evening with a happy little glow, his mind dancing with memories of Gio.

It was nearly a week later, the 20th. Prom night and also his birthday night. His two youngest sisters woke him up by bouncing on his bed, and from there it had been the start of a nice birthday. Unlike Aline, he never really wanted anything particularly lavish, so they went out to a small breakfast diner instead of getting reservations at a fancy restaurant. He didn’t see the point of having friends over since prom would be later that night, so he mostly spent the day with his family, which was fine by him. His birthday was one of the few things he didn’t share with Aline, ironically enough, and so he usually took full advantage of the fact that he could do what he wanted to do on that day.

The time passed quicker than he ever would have thought, and soon it was almost time to leave for prom. Luciano stood in front of the full-length mirror in his room, adjusting the fit of his suit and making sure all the seams aligned. He still had to tie on the navy blue tie he had bought, but he was exceptionally bad at doing that. Luckily for him, his mami knocked briefly on the door before coming in and, seeing his predicament, walked over to help him tie the tie.

She was much shorter than him, reaching 5’3" in her bare feet, but even with the height discrepancies, she could make him or any giant feel much shorter than they were if she wanted to. She wore a black tank and blue jeans, the still relatively small bump from her stomach very visible in the tight clothing. His mami worked deftly with the tie, fastening it around Lui’s collar and then smoothing down his blazer. “Excited?” She asked him, her eyes appraising his outfit.

Luciano nodded, a genuine smile stretching across his face. “Yeah,” he replied. “I am.”

And this was true. The Blue Royalty text had come in earlier that day, and he had nearly balked from the absurdity of one of the tasks, but by now the shock had faded and he had decided that he wasn’t going to let Blue Royalty ruin the night of his life.

His mami moved to stand beside him, and the two of them regarded his appearance in the mirror. His suit and tie were crisp and sharp, and neither one could deny it; Luciano looked good. “Mi hijo,” she murmured, squeezing his shoulder. “Hermoso.” He smiled, leaning into the petite woman’s strong grip. She moved him into a hug, and murmured into his ear, “He’s going to love this.”

There was no mistaking her words, and even though she already knew that he was pan, it was still shocking for Luciano to hear that she knew that he was going to prom with a boy, when he had done so well to keep it a secret from her. His mami pulled back and regarded his expression with a laugh. “You really think you can keep this from me?” She raised her brows, amused. “Luciano, hijo, I know you. Also, Aline broke down when I threatened to take away her phone.”

That wasn’t entirely surprising, especially considering that he and Aline don’t normally keep secrets from their mami, but still, he expected more from his twin. “Mami, does—” He took a breath. “Does… Papi know?”

She shook her head and relief coursed through his veins. No matter how much he didn’t want their relationship to be secret, he did not want to be responsible for outing Gio when he wasn’t ready to come out yet. “Until he’s ready,” his mami added, miming zipping her lips, “no one else will know.” She grinned cheekily at him, nudging his shoulder. “Qu, buen partido te ligaste!” “He’s a good catch!” He chuckled slightly, heat colouring his cheeks, but nodded, letting out a sigh. “Yeah, he is.”

Just then, his youngest sister, Andressa, burst through the door that was slightly ajar, gasping as she saw him. “Lui!” He grinned, twirling for her. “Andy, do I look good?” She nodded fervently, walking over to him with her arms outstretched. “Mmhm!!” He picked her up, against his mami’s protests that she’d wrinkle the suit. Andressa grabbed hold of his neck, leaning against him.

“I wanna go with you and Ali,” she said, pouting. He booped her on the nose, laughing. “You’ll get your chance, chiquita. And don’t worry, Ali and I are gonna take lots of pictures so it’ll be like your there.” She yawned, and he raised an eyebrow. “You’re tired anyway, why aren’t you sleeping?” Her eyes fluttered close, but her grip on Luciano tightened. “Papi said I can stay up to see you and Ali.”

“Well you saw him and her,” his mami intervened, pulling her off of Luciano and into her arms. “So time for bed hija, hm?” His mami walked out of the room with Andressa, giving him a kiss before leaving. “Have a good time.”

After a long bout of pictures, he and Aline were tucked into their car, Luciano driving and Aline in the passenger’s seat. She was buzzing with happiness because Elske had randomly asked her to prom and so it turned out that she would have a date after all. Luciano’s prom night was much more uncertain (if Elske was going with Aline, was Gio going to go alone?), but he didn’t let it get him down. He would have a good time today.

He drove them to the venue, Aline gushing away. Her chatter filled the car and helped drown out any nervous thoughts that fluttered into his mind. He parked in front of the hall, and the twins walked in, Luciano clad in his navy blue suit and Aline rocking her [insert adjectives for dress because I still haven’t freaking decided yet :sob:] dress. “Woah… it’s beautiful,” she murmured to him and he nodded, taking in the extravagantly decorated hall they would be spending the night in.

The two of them spoke with each other for a while, the conversation helping to ease both of their minds before Aline eventually pointed out the boy in a beige and white suit outfit had just entered. Luciano turned his head slightly, and was immediately rendered breathless at the sight of him, looking so damn fine in the clothes he had chosen. Aline had gone silent beside him, but when he didn’t move, she hit his shoulder. “Qué estás haciendo? Go over to him!” He glanced at her, chewing on the inside of his lip. “But I don’t want to—”

She rolled her eyes, quirking an eyebrow. “Sí, lo sé, you don’t want to out him but I didn’t say go and confess your love for him and then make out with him on the dance floor,” —Luciano’s heartbeat quickened— “I just said go greet him.” Her expression turned softer and she gently turned him to look at her, patting his shoulder. “Hey. It’s your birthday Lui, almost officially too. Go have a good night with him, out or not.” He smiled slightly, pulling his sister in for a hug. “You too, Ali. Have fun with Elske. And happy birthday if I don’t see you at 12:14.” She grinned at him, laughing. “Thank you, now go!”

And he did, walking towards Gio casually, a small smile on his face. “Hey,” he said, taking in a breath and keeping a friendly distance from him. He subtly looked him up and down, his smile stretching. “You look… good, G. Really good.” The urge to kiss him was nearly overwhelming but he held himself back, promising himself that he’d get to later, when they weren’t in front of everyone. He smiled softly, placing his hands in his pockets. “I’m glad you came,” he added, genuinely happy.

Standing in the hall looking around, not too long has passed before he spotted Luciano walking in, in a navy suit that looked so damn good on him, honestly Gio just couldn’t hold himself from staring in awe. oh. my. god.

’Hey, You look… good, G. Really good.’
no u
The smile on Gio’s face was nearly impossible to hide, as preoccupied as his mind was, as soon as he laid his eyes on Lui all problems seemed to just flee from his head as if they were never there.
“You don’t look so bad yourself” he smirked teasingly “who am I kidding you look amazing” he added soon after.
I’m glad you came,
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world” he said with a light smile , wondering in his head weather to give him the present he got him for his birthday now or later:

@unsungcheerio dw mine was also long (and sorry it took me ages I found a nostalgic picture book in my room lost my focus😂)

“You don’t look so bad yourself." A very brief pause. "Who am I kidding you look amazing.” He laughed, his gaze falling to the floor, before slowly rising to meet Gio’s again. “Thank you,” he replied, smiling. “You look amazing too, but you always look amazing.”

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Gio said. He was truly glad that he had actually shown up, even though he was pretty sure he was going to. Even if they couldn’t dance together or kiss or do prom couple things, his presence was enough for Luciano to be happy. It was odd to have to be so conscious of his actions at prom when the night was literally for couples but this didn’t actively bother him right now because he was still close to Gio—maybe only a friendly closeness, but still—and the night had only just begun. Who knew what was still in store?

He smiled cheekily at him with a quirked eyebrow, crossing his arms across his chest. “Aren’t you supposed to be saying happy birthday to me?” He asked, chuckling slightly. He gasped, his hand flying to his mouth. “Gio, did you forget my birthday was today?” He joked.

Thank you, you look amazing too, but you always look amazing.
“You keep stealing my words, that’s what I was thinking” he chuckled, trying not to blush at the compliment
Aren’t you supposed to be saying happy birthday to me? Gio, did you forget my birthday was today?
“Nooo” He chuckled and shook his head “I was going to, you can’t just waltz around all handsome in a suit and expect me to focus” he said with a smile
“I got you something” he said and subtly bit his lip as he pulled the box out of his pocket

“Happy birthday” he said with a light yet warm and loving smile

He looked at Lui waiting for a reply, and anxiously waiting for him to notice the inscription on the back. Not too many words were needed to express what he was trying to express, and even though he never said it before, he knew it for a long time now, and nothing could change his mind.
It is what it is, there are some things that are way too strong for you to deny.

Noticing the lights slowly approaching her house, she let out a sigh of relief, rushing to the mirror to look at herself one last time. She could’ve stayed and tried to see who that person was, but at this point she wanted to leave as soon as possible. Grabbing her purse, she headed to the door of her room feeling just a bit anxious. She knew Daniel wouldn’t want to make this night bad for her and pick someone she wouldn’t like, but the little clue he gave her didn’t help at all. Knowing that person is in a band should help with figuring it out but she was completely clueless. There wasn’t a single person that came to her mind and it was scaring her. If he was in a band there was a high possibility she would be alone most of the night so maybe his choice wasn’t that great. Standing at top of the stairs, she played with the purse in her hands, just waiting to hear the doorbell. She couldn’t believe what she was doing now - if someone told her she would be going to prom with a random person she wouldn’t believe them. But she didn’t know what else to do.

Hearing the bell she froze for a second, feeling her heart racing faster than usual. Just minutes ago she wanted to leave as quickly as possible, but now she didn’t want to open the door out of the fear of the unknown. But she had to and with slow steps she walked down, leaving her purse on the little table that was right next to the door and reached for the handle. “Wha-” The moment she opened it she was greeted with a bunch of balloons, only leaving her confused until she could finally see who the person behind them was. “My God, Jordan,” she gasped, not wasting any time to hug him tightly, shocked to see him back. Shocked and mad. And happy… And still confused. He was the last person she expected to see tonight but she couldn’t imagine having a better date. “What?” Whispering, she slowly pulled back with the biggest smile on her face, leaving her hands on his shoulders. She took a moment to properly look at him after so many months of not seeing him before lowering her gaze to the flowers he was holding. But without commenting on that she looked back up at him, gently punching his arm. “You idiot, why didn’t you tell me you were coming back?”

“You keep stealing my words, that’s what I was thinking.” He grinned, laughing lightly. “I’m always stealing your words, they’re pretty good words. And I’m mostly thinking the same thing as you.” Gio looking amazing wasn’t anything new, even in slacks he looked gorgeous to Luciano. Even he couldn’t deny, however, how nice he looked dressed up. The colours looked really good against his skin; Gio clearly knew how to pick a suit.

“Nooo, I was going to, you can’t just waltz around all handsome in a suit and expect me to focus.” Luciano laughed, shaking his head. “Good excuse,” he smirked, lifting an eyebrow. “I think I’ll forgive you this time.”

Gio presented him a small box he pulled out of his pocket. “I got you something.” Luciano inhaled sharply, taking the box from Gio. “You didn’t have to get me anything,” he murmured to Gio, briefly looking up to meet his eyes before refocusing his attention on the box. He really hadn’t expected a present, he thought he would just get a hug or kiss or something, not something like this… which looked pretty expensive, just judging by the box’s appearance. He opened the lid, revealing the beautiful watch tucked inside. He gasped, his fingers running over the face of the watch.

”Happy birthday.” He glanced up, a warm smile on his face. “Gio, wow. It’s beautiful. Thank you… thank you so much.” Luciano pulled him into a brief hug after a moment’s hesitation. “This must’ve cost you so much…” he murmured aloud. He knew Gio was trying to save up money to move out, so he didn’t like the thought of him spending all this money on him.

He pulled the watch out of its box, admiring its make and turning it over in his hand. It was then that he noticed the engraving on the back. The smile froze on his face, and he slowly rose his gaze to meet Gio’s, searching his expression. “Gio…?” He questioned. It could’ve been just a cute little inscription from the company, but something was telling him that it wasn’t more personal than that. Could it be true? Did Gio love him?

”I’m always stealing your words, they’re pretty good words. And I’m mostly thinking the same thing as you.”
“Great minds thing alike” he added with a smirk.
It wasn’t even an opinion, it was a fact that Lui was just bloody handsome. And Gio couldn’t deny how beautiful he looked in his eyes, for Gio he was just the most handsome man to walk the earth, and there’s like 3 or 4 billion men in the world, so that’s very handsome.
”You didn’t have to get me anything,”
“But I wanted to” he said gently **”It’s your birthday that’s the happiest day ever, what was the world even like before you were born? I bet it wasn’t as great” he said with a light smile

”Gio, wow. It’s beautiful. Thank you… thank you so much. This must’ve cost you so much…”
His heart beat got faster as Lui hugged him, as many times as that happened, he still got butterflies from every little touch or smile or even just being close to him, he could never get used to it, there was no feeling like this in the world. ”It was worth it” he said quietly

”Gio…?”
Gio was a one hundred percent nerve ball at that moment, what if it went wrong? He knew what he himself felt, but what if it wasn’t the case for the other side? Relationships are after all a two way street.
As Lui’s gaze came back up to Gio’s eyes, Gio’s heart was beating so fast and so strong he was already starting to think a heart attack was the next step of the night, but looking in Lui’s eyes, none of it mattered.
He just took a step forward, not taking his eyes off lui’s, raised up on his tiptoes and a small, pure and gentle kiss, “It’s true” he whispered with the lightest of nods, his eyes still fixed on Lui’s, even though he just basically outed himself, it didn’t matter to him, he couldn’t hide it anymore, it was time…

“But I wanted to,” Gio said in response to his protests. Luciano smiled. It was such a thoughtful gesture, he couldn’t deny that, and he never would’ve expected Gio to get him such a gift. ”It’s your birthday that’s the happiest day ever, what was the world even like before you were born? I bet it wasn’t as great.” He laughed, shaking his head. “That’s a bit of a stretch, I’m not that special.”

”It was worth it.” The watch was absolutely amazing and Luciano loved it, but at the same time, this came out of Gio’s savings. This expensive buy for him, of all people. It was astonishing and he understood how special this was. He just really wished Gio wouldn’t spend all this money on him. “Still…” he sighed, looking up at him. “You shouldn’t have.” He replied softly.

Luciano wasn’t sure what he was expecting to happen next, but what happened in the next moment was certainly not anything he expected to happen in that night at all. They were staring into each other’s eyes and then suddenly Gio was moving forward, closer to him, and then he pressed his lips against Lui’s. “It’s true.” Luciano’s eyes were wide open and he took a step back, startled and confused. There were two things he had to process at this moment, both of which were very big things. One, Gio loved him? Was that what he was saying. Two, what the f-ck, he just kissed him in the middle of all these people? “Wh–” He sputtered, blinking. “Gio—you–I—what?” His eyes darted around the surrounding area before landing back on Gio. “G… what did you just do?” He whispered, his expression mixed with longing and worry. “Your parents—?”

“That’s a bit of a stretch, I’m not that special."
Gio shook his head ”then call me elasticboy because I disagree” he said with playful sas and a smirk on his lips
”Still… You shouldn’t have."
“To late for regretting it now” he said with a light smile ”if anything is worth spending on, it’s you” he stated “I don’t regret it, I wanted it to be special”

”Wh–Gio—you–I—what? G… what did you just do?•
Gio raised his brow at the question, “What does it look like I’m doing?” he asked with his brow still raised, as if the answer to the question was this obvious.
”Your parents—?"
Gio shook his head ”My parents don’t matter” he said lightly, even though that wasn’t technically true but it also wasn’t wrong. He didn’t want to let his parents hold him back from being himself anymore, even though there was a lot more to him than just being gay, it was impossible to be 100% yourself when you have to constantly hide such a major part of your life, that’s just not how living is supposed to be.
”Fcuk my parents. I thought it over a million times before, I want to make my own choices” he said while looking down slightly, he did think it over a million times, and he knew his life wasn’t going to be easy now, but they were never easy in the first place, just a different type of struggle. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, but at least he has his tiny piece of heaven standing in front of him.
Raising his gaze again, gently to meet his eyes, he spoke, in the gentleness of the simple yet so meaningful words ”and I chose you” he added with a small yet genuine loving smile,
”I- I love you”
