Reina Katherine Monroe

“I guess.” Daniel didn’t even know her. They had just officially met. He knew nothing about her and what she had dealt with and what went through her mind. How could he not overestimate. She carefully followed along as Daniel led her to the dance floor. Standing there as he held her hand and put his other at her hip, she was terrified. She wasn’t great with dancing in general, especially something slow with a partner. She hoped she didn’t step on someone else’s feet, but at least she wasn’t wearing heels. “Its a complete 180 from anything I’ve ever been used to, which is more than a little intimidating, but its a million times better than my old school.” Though for Reina, the bar wasn’t set very high to be better than her old school. She couldn’t take it being at her old school any longer. Reina had barely gotten to answer Daniel when Safiya had come over. Reina looked at her, despite Reina having been unsure about going to prom in the first place, they had planned to hang out some while there.

"Yeah, neither do I."
Valerie raised her brow in surprise ”You took classes?” she asked, it was actually a pleasant surprise, still didn’t expect it though.
“I wish I’d thought of it too.”
”Pretty sure someone thought about it, if there’s something our class likes, that’s booze” she chuckled as the band went on stage
Wait, Jordan? What?
”Oh, hey Val, I did tell you to say hi to the band, so… hi,”
”That cheeky bastar-“ she shook her head with a smile and looked at the stage in surprise, but one thing was she definitely missed having that idiot around

“Dance with me?”
Valerie focused back and smiled at the question ”I’d love that” she said and took his hand while the music played in the background

As Daniel danced with the girl to the song that Jordan had begun to sing, he nodded at her response. Though Daniel didn’t know what school she came from - though it was likely in her file that he had saved on his hard drive - he knew that Reina Monroe didn’t come from money. Which meant it wasn’t shocking that Cerulean High was better… in a strange way. Though, ironically, it had the ability to be worse as well. “Well, with the fact that your parents just recently came into money - I wouldn’t be surprised if your whole life took a turn,” Daniel started - turning the girl with the rhythm of the music.

Although Dan was going to go further into his little… conversation that was soon halted with the arrival of another girl waving a cup towards him. “Ahh, Safyia, we both know by now that I don’t trust you so I wouldn’t be surprised if you poisoned that. So I’ll have to decline,” But after a second of looking between the two, he smiled once again at Reina, “Seems like I didn’t overestimate myself. You two have fun - and Reina. I’ll see you later,” Daniel stated before leaving the two girls and searching for the man he had initially sought to find in the first place.

Come out come out wherever you are Maverick Weston.

Elske reacted much better than she had expected her to when she had been honest about her opinions on Blue Royalty. It didn’t seem like this was going to be the end of their friendship either, which she was grateful for—Elske really seemed like a good friend to have. Her friend seemed to have a mindset that she was going to dismantle Blue Royalty, which felt a little naive in Aline’s honest opinion. Elske has said “It doesn’t hurt to try” but it definitely could hurt her to try, considering the blog’s way of obtaining any information they need of their target. They knew more than Daniel, and that said a lot.

“Yes, let them regret it. I would be the greatest date,” she said, laughing. While she had dreamed of going to prom with someone, she was always known for adapting well to change. If Elske was going to be there, she was sure that she would have fun at prom regardless of whether she had an official date or not.

It was soon after that that Elske departed, Aline waving goodbye to her. She was happy that Elske would be joining the many students at Cerulean, even if they didn’t quite share the same opinions.

A much-awaited day it was today, the 20th of March which was prom and, less importantly, her twin brother’s birthday. A good amount of her childhood was spent dreaming about this day, and finally, it was here. She spent the whole day just thinking about the future events of the evening, which meant she was very spacey for the majority of Lui’s birthday. Usually, she spent his birthday embarrassing him as much as possible 'cause he didn’t like being the centre of attention, but today she actually gave him the day he wanted; a quiet morning and afternoon with his family, with no obnoxious happy birthday song belting. And she was oddly complacent. Aline could tell that Luciano noticed this change in behaviour but he just took full advantage of it.

Luciano was born on the 20th, at 11:47 PM and Aline had been born nearly half an hour later at 12:14 AM on the 21st. They had always celebrated their birthdays on different days—even back in Brazil, except they usually used the same cake—and to celebrate it together would be weird for them now. Aline liked how they did things, as her and Luciano’s preferences on how to spend their birthdays were very different. She liked lavish parties and he liked quiet dinners. Celebrating their birthday together would definitely be a source of much conflict, so they never did that.

His birthday passed pretty quickly, and soon it was just about time to start heading to prom. Aline was in her room with her two younger sisters, Andressa and Nadalia. Nadalia, the older of the two, had been with her since the beginning, helping her get ready, while Andressa had only just came in. Now, she stood in front of her full-length mirror, twisting her body and watching the silky fabric move with her. Her makeup was done and she had gotten her hair braided yesterday, meaning they looked as good as they were going to. Andressa stood at her side in front of the mirror while Nadalia was propped up on her bed.

“You’re so pretty, Ali,” Andressa said, looking up at her big sister. “Yeah, you are,” Nadalia agreed from the bed.

Aline smiled at the two of them, wrapping Andressa’s hand in hers. “I am, aren’t I?” She grinned. Andressa giggled and Nadalia rolled her eyes playfully. Both of them were pretty used to her cockiness by now. Satisfied with her appearance, she walked over to sit by Nadalia on the bed, Andressa eagerly hopping on.

“Do you have a date?” Nadalia asked her, scooching close to Aline.

She was shaking her head, about to give Nadalia a feministic speech on how she didn’t need a date to have fun at prom, and then her phone buzzed.

It couldn’t have been Blue Royalty, as that text message had come earlier. Her tasks weren’t too hard, but one she had decided against since she couldn’t imagine doing something like that. Aline opened her phone, seeing it was in fact from Elske, who had randomly asked her to the prom. She smiled, tapping out a quick reply before putting the phone away.

“Who was that?” Andy asked.

Aline ruffled her hair, standing. “That was my date.”

“OOOOH,” the girls chorused, to Aline’s laughter.

“Do we know him?” Nadalia asked.

“Her,” she corrected. “And no, you don’t. But we’ll take lots of pictures and I’ll show you all of them tomorrow.”

“Okay!” Andressa said, hopping off the bed. “I’m gonna go see Lui now, bye Ali!” With that, she ran out the door, leaving just her and Nadalia.

“I wanna be like you when I’m older,” Nadalia said, out of nowhere, breaking the silence. Aline’s head turned her way, a curious look to her face.

“Why?”

“'Cause you’re so cool.” She said, plucking at the string on her bed. “You don’t care about what anyone thinks, you just do what you want.”

She wasn’t 100% sure that was a compliment, but she decided to take it as one, hugging Nadalia close to her. “Lee Lee, you don’t need to be me, you’re awesome already.”

“Really?”

“Yeah! Didn’t you fight Luca because he was bullying your friend Alex?”

She frowned, shrugging. “Papi says violence is never the answer.”

“Papi needs to get the stick out of his ass,” she told her, straight-faced until Nadalia started giggling, which made her start too. “That was a hero thing to do Lee Lee. So you’re already mucho awesome yourself. Promise.”

Nadalia smiled to herself before hopping off the bed and pulling Aline up too. “Okay, now go have an awesome prom.”

She smiled, walking out of the room. “I will.”

~

A while later, after Aline had told Luciano to go over to Gio and greet him and after she had watched them practically make out in front of everyone—she couldn’t believe that the words she had said earlier to Luciano had actually came true—Aline decided to go outside, see if Elske had arrived yet. She stepped outside and saw her almost immediately, seemingly waiting for someone—probably her. She hadn’t known she was waiting outside for all this time, else she would’ve come out way earlier. Aline had no way of knowing how long she had been standing here, but she wondered if Elske had thought she had stood her up.

Her mouth dropped. Elske looked gorgeous in her blue dress, it was definitely something she could see her wearing, and it fit her so well. Aline walked towards her, an easy smile coming to her lips. At her side, she lightly tapped her arm, smiling as she turned to her. “Hey, linda,” she said, pulling her into a hug. “Seriously, you look so beautiful. This dress is gorgeous.”

She frowned slightly, her eyes flicking to the doors of the hall. “Have you been out here this whole time? I didn’t know, Els, I’m so sorry to keep you waiting.”

His conversion with the new guy was alright, but eventually he decided to bring it to a nice end and move on with his life.
and only after spiking the punch the realization he actually did know that guy came to his mind, he didn’t recognize him before but somehow it came to his mind.

Looking around he spotted Mareena standing on her own while everyone was sort coupled up, so he decided to be nice and bring her a drink, and catch up a bit, after all he was away for quite a while. ”How on earth do you not have a date?” he raised his brow and offered her the other cup in his hand. ”Morons”

Soon enough Jordan started playing, Andy smirked lightly as looking at him preform, reminiscing of the days Jordan was in his band. He was happy for Jordan that he became so good.

Maverick’s sisters had basically taken care of everything. They picked his date, what he was wearing, made arrangements for him to meet at her house to pick her up. All he had to do was drive to get her and take her there, though, once at prom he was on his own. All that he knew about what would happen with prom was from the task given to him. The door to France’s house was opened by a maid, but France quickly came to the door. She wore a blue dress, which matched Maverick’s clothing quite well, as intended by Maya. Maverick nodded. “Yeah, right this way.” He walked with France to the car and opened the passenger door for her. He had practically been lectured before he left his house that he had to open the door for her, and he was quite sure that Macy may kill him if he forgot to, or chose not to listen to her. The drive wasn’t long, but during it there was some minor conversation to fill the silence. Maverick parked the car then went to open her door again so they could walk inside. They were definitely later arrivals as most everyone was there at that point. “I’m uh, going to get a drink, want one too?” She could walk to get a drink with him, ask him to bring her one, or even just leave him alone, but that didn’t change his plan.

@Nil - I’m sorry this isn’t great… I’m tired… and hope it was ok that I had them arrive at prom.

"Don’t worry about me.” Mikel shook her head to this comment. “I mean obviously that’s not going to happen but if you say you are fine then I will believe you.” He had a feeling thing was up but he wasn’t going to press the matter and possibly upset her. Something had clearly happened since there was a bit of tension now. Mikel hoped it wasn’t he had done because he was trying his hardest to make the night perfect for her. “But if something were wrong you know you can talk to me, right?” He said to clarify with her and smiled sincerely at her. The moment was cut off by some announcement from the stage. Mikel was a fan of bands but he always liked the idea of DJ’s at events like this because there was usually a wider range of music that would ultimately play and when you have a band, especially the one going to play, it was all going to be pop-preppy and annoying. The singer was the Jordan guy who used to go to school here a few years ago. If Mikel had gotten out of this place he would never willingly come back. He yawned a bit while the guy was taking his sweet time getting to the point and actually playing some music which sort of made things awkward since it was pretty silent and you couldn’t feel the base anymore through your feet on the floor.

He noticed him look almost directly at Mikel but Mikel it knew it wasn’t him he was looking at, it was instead his date. A brow raised on Mikels’s face as he heard the mumble of a hey through the speakers. He looked over at Jez to see her expression and if she was also taking note of the boy with the mic. “I-I’m going to go get something to drink. Uh- yeah.” He said to her a little unsure of his words but he didn’t want to be surrounded by people on the dance floor anymore since he could feel his pressure rise a little. He let out a little sigh and faked a smile at her. “I’ll be right back beautiful.” He said before turning on his heels and pushing through the people and his hands folding into fists at his sides. He knew it was wrong to walk away during a slow song but he wasn’t in the mood to slow dance, or dance in general. He wanted something stronger and part of him wished he snuck something in his car or someone might’ve spiked the punch.

You took classes?

“I took ballet classes until I was fourteen.” He admitted. “I was more or less forced into them by my sister and then they kind of ended up being my bisexual awakening.” He explained, a small part of him wondering why he was telling her this. He laughed when he heard her comment about their class and booze. “Yeah, you’re right about that.”

I’d love that

Dom smiled as he gently pulled her in close to him and wrapped his arms around her waist, starting to sway to the music.

Jezebel nodded slightly in response to Mikel, but then her attention turned to the stage just like everyone else at the sound of one name. Jordan Williams. For those who hadn’t known him, he was a celebrity, and former Cerulean high student, there, for some an old friend, but for Jezebel it was different. She had thought she had seen him not that long earlier, but hearing his name and seeing him on stage made it real. She hadn’t seen him in so long. The occasional message was hardly a conversation. They had barely talked, let alone actually even seen each other for two years. Thinking she saw him was one thing, but eye contact was something else. Her attention was entirely on him, especially as she saw his smile. She already was smiling back at him before putting any thought into it. Her mind was racing with all the thoughts she had about him being there, seeing him for the first time since they broke up. There was still so much that had been left unsaid. Her attention finally turned away from Jordan as the song began, and she looked to Mikel. He said he was going to go get a drink. “Oh… uh ok…” she said, unsure of what to even think as he turned, walking away. First Jordan shows up, then Mikel just walks off as a slower song started. What could Jezebel think just being left standing there on the dance floor.

Mareena Stokes

Mareena had just finished getting ready. As much as she wishes she got ready with Tala and Aline, but she forgot and didn’t want to intrude. Especially since they both had dates. It’s not the Mare had minded having no date it just was a reason not to go. She’s gotta be the life of the party though so she can’t just miss it now can she. She looked at her reflection in the mirror,”Looking good.” Always gotta keep yourself confident annnnnnnd not too cocky like a Dorian she knows. She laughed slightly before walking downstairs and driving to the prom. She entered there to see everyone either dancing or drinking from the punch. It’s probably already been spiked knowing the people at her school. One of the best parts. She stood towards the side not knowing where to start when she hears someone approaching, hopefully her. And she was correct she turned to the side towards the guy to see… Andy?! “You’re back?” She asked as she nodded and took the drink from his hand. “Yep, all alone waiting for a young strong man to save me.” She teased. Honestly though.” She held the cup to her nose and smelled it. “How much alcohol did you put in this?” She crinkled her nose.

“I took ballet classes until I was fourteen. I was more or less forced into them by my sister and then they kind of ended up being my bisexual awakening.”
Valerie was partly surprised that he took ballet classes, but she always thought artsy guys are somewhat just better or more attractive in a way, ask Jordan or Andy or even Warren ffs, they were all technically artists. It was just an automatic bonus, even though she already knew he was artsy, just not in dancing.

As she said yes to a dance, he brought her in closer to him while swaying to the music, being like half a foot shorter than him even with heels, she slightly stretched herself and out her arms over his shoulders, her hands together behind his neck
”Thank you” she thanked him with a light smile ”For making this evening even better than I imagined it”

“You’re back?”
”Like I was never gone” he said with a light smile, it really has been a while since he was here, he technically missed most on senior year it wasn’t ideal.
“Yep, all alone waiting for a young strong man to save me.”
”Well sucks for you it’s just me” he said with a playful shrug ”Can’t be a young man when I’m probably the oldest one in our class” he laughed lightly and sipped his punch. Even though it was only a year , he wasn’t actually that old, he was only 19 but considering like half of the people in their class were 17, it did make him sort of old in a way.

“How much alcohol did you put in this?”
”Hey not that much! Get drunk at the after party not now” he said and smelled his own cup to see if he put too much in it. Nah.
”You’re coming to it right?” he asked

Zion waited outside Tala’s house, jamming to the radio. They checked their phone, wondering if she’d texted them, but only found a message from their brother, teasing them. They chuckled as they responded to him, looking up to see Tala on the other side of the door. They unlocked the door for her and did their seat belt up as she got in.

Hey, Zion, sorry to keep you waiting.

“Don’t worry about it.” They shrugged, turning their car back on as Tala told them her friend will be following them. “Alright. Which of your friends is it?” They asked, out of pure curiosity. They pulled away from her house, driving towards the prom venue.

Ruby put her phone back in her pocket, groaning. “Whatever. There’s no point…” She sighed, briefly closing her eyes. She saw Zion’s car pull away, putting the car in drive and following them. She made sure to stay back far enough so she didn’t seem like a stalker, but close enough so she didn’t loose them in traffic. All this time she was going over all the things that could possibly go wrong, causing her to grip the wheel. “Ruby, calm down. You’re driving!” Sam reminded her. “I know…there’s just so much that could go wrong…” “You’re right! You could start hallucinating again~ The male’s voice said maliciously. Ruby gulped, thoughts running wild. She started to drift into the other lane, luckily brought back to her senses by the blare of the horn from the car she almost hit. “S*it!” She yelped, going back into her lane, having to speed up to catch up to Zion.

As Daniel retreated to looking for the Weston - who was still not to be found. Without a doubt, Maverick Weston took fashionably late to an extreme level. Though what did bring a smile to his face was when Jordan reached the stage. He knew the man’s appearance would cause a stir among the students. Though, Daniel also knew who it would… bother the most. Shifting his eyes, Daniel watched Mikel from a far - smiling ever-so-slightly when he saw the man retreat with ready fists made. Perhaps if Daniel was still friends with Mikel, he’d go over to the man and talk him down. After all - Daniel knew more about Jordan and Jezebel’s breakup than most people.

However, they weren’t friends. Instead, Daniel got another idea in mind as he walked over to Jezebel standing alone at the edge of the dance floor - one that Mikel had just left her on. “It’s ironic isn’t it?” Daniel questioned placing his hands in his pockets as he reached the girl. “Things are finally going well with Mikel and then you find out Jordan’s back and he’s here to stay for the rest of the year. Oh… did I just say something I wasn’t supposed to?” Daniel muttered - still looking up onto the stage.

After a few seconds, Daniel turned towards Jezebel and almost instantly felt guilt within the pit of his stomach. Even though Daniel didn’t act like it, it did hurt to talk to Jezebel in such a cold fashion. Though he couldn’t help it… he was conflicted. At one part, Daniel wanted to say sorry - in another, he still recalled the fact that she lied to him for years and the latter always won out.

“Word to the wise: Leave Jordan out of the ‘Jezebel Sloane’ drama. If one of us deserves better, it’s him. Stick with Mikey boy. You two deserve each other. The Broken with the Liar. I think it’s a perfect match.” Daniel stated - staying there as if to give her a chance to respond.

Jezebel was still trying to process everything that had just happened as Daniel walked up to her. She looked from the ground, up to Daniel. At his words, she truly had no idea how to react. He said Jordan wasn’t just there for prom, but actually back for the rest of the year. “Jordan’s staying?” Jezebel’s mind was racing. She cared about Mikel, but Jordan was coming back. There was no way it couldn’t change things. Mikel had even already walked off and left her alone. Then at Daniel’s next words, the hurt was clear in her eyes. Whether he thought he still did or not, Daniel was still the person who knew her better than everyone else did. Daniel probably knew Jezebel better than she even knew herself. He knew what the breakup between her and Jordan was like, and how she had felt about him. Daniel was the only reason she left her room at all in those first days after the breakup, He literally had to drag her out of her house. He knew she would never want to hurt Jordan at all. Anything Daniel could say about her hurt, but even implying that she’d do something to hurt Jordan was worse. “Think what you want about me Daniel, I know I hurt you, but I’d never do anything to hurt Jordan. You should know that.” Jezebel normally kept a confident look, especially when it was anything against something Daniel said, but that confidence wasn’t there anymore. She couldn’t do anything to make Daniel trust her again, and it seemed like the most she could hope for would be for him to tolerate her presence, even after months since they had been best friends. So she no longer had the same effort she once had when it came to Daniel, and she was frazzled from thinking about what was going on with her and Mikel and Jordan being back.

“Jordan’s staying?”

There was something at the edge of Jezebel’s voice as she said that. Though, at the moment, Daniel Parker couldn’t exactly put a finger on it. “He is, indeed. Unless the enrollment form that he turned in a month ago was a lie. Or the fact that he told me himself he was coming back - oh wait. Jordan’s not the liar here. That honor belongs to you and only you Jezebel.” Daniel explained.

Though at her next statement Daniel couldn’t help but let out a cruel laugh. “You’d never do anything to hurt Jordan? Really? Jezebel, there was once a time where I thought you’d never do anything to hurt me. If you haven’t figured it out already - I don’t trust you. As far as I’m concerned, nothing that you say is the truth. So what I know is that you are fully capable of breaking Jordan. I can’t be broken, Jezebel. Jordan on the other hand…” Daniel stated, keeping his voice void of emotions as he often did with people who Daniel was threatening. A voice that Jezebel knew well - though it was never directed at her. Well… until now.

“Now here’s the fun part Jezebel. Leave Jordan out of your mess… because I swear to god, if you hurt him - I will come after you. And we both know what I’m capable of.” He explained… though this time, Daniel couldn’t look at her in her eyes. Perhaps it was because deep down he knew it was a lie. Either way, he simply couldn’t.

“Au revoir, Sloane,” Daniel stated, and with that, he walked away from the girl - back on his search of a Weston.

Jezebel lied about who she was to him, and she would always regret it, but lying about one thing when she was scared to lose him shouldn’t brand her as a liar for the rest of her life. She really was in shock that Jordan was actually back for good. She hadn’t known that he would even be there at prom, so the news that he was actually coming back was a lot to take in. “I Never Wanted to hurt you Daniel. That’s what you forget.” Each word hurt Jezebel more, especially his final words. Words of a clear threat. She’d seen that side of Daniel, but never from the side of the person being threatened. It didn’t matter what he would do, that in itself was enough to break the part of her that had been desperately trying to hold onto all of the good times with Daniel. Jezebel was doing everything she could to not show how much that part of her was breaking, but with one look, anyone would have been able to notice the tears she had to fight back. “If you think that could ever be true, that I would try to hurt him, or even that I tried to hurt you, then I guess you never really knew me at all. And I clearly never knew you at all, because I was stupid enough to think you actually cared enough to want to actually know me.” Jezebel just looked down. “Hate me, tell Jordan to never talk to me again, make my life a living hell, whatever you want, go ahead, cause you’re already doing a great job at making me miserable.” She barely watched as he walked away before turning on her own and getting off of that dance floor. She needed some space, some air, anything just not around everyone.

“Thank you,” A smile of relief crossed Tala’s face; thankfully enough, Zion didn’t the time she took that could’ve already brought them to the prom minutes ago. But can you really blame her? She just wanted to let her childhood friend experience the same thing that she will—after all, this is the first and last chance they will be able to attend a “prom.” Every chance for what seems to be fun, Tala will always get it; at the same time, she doesn’t want others to miss it as well.

Tala adjusted herself on the seat when Zion asked her. “Oh,” Not wanting to exclude them—plus this information wasn’t going to expose something bad anyway—she smiled with excitement and peered to her back, seeing if Ruby was actually following them. “it’s my childhood friend. Ruby.” Reassured about the girl tailing them, she relaxed herself in the car as it was driven towards the venue of the prom.

She helped herself out of the car, waiting for Zion to come out as well. As she did, she let herself be mesmerized by the stunner that was the hall of the town, specially decorated with extravagance just for a prom for Cerulean High’s seniors. She looked back to her date, making sure they were beside her before she went in the venue. “What are we supposed to do first?” she asked. As it ignorant as it seemed, Tala really had no idea what she should do once she got in the place. Should she stick to Zion? Or would that annoy them?

And before she also forgot, she looked far back, searching for a car that should belong to Ruby. Her eyes quickly shifted from one place to another, a hint of worry surfacing in her eyes.

Mikel walked to the men’s bathroom and leaned over one of the sinks, his hands gripping the white porcelain. He didn’t want to leave but he also didn’t really want to be here anymore. He saw that Jordan kid and the way he looked at Jezebel. It wasn’t the type of look you want anyone making to someone you have strong feelings for and it didn’t help that she clearly was thrilled also with the smile on her own face. He did want to spend the night with her and wouldn’t let this cheery, pop singer boy, ruin that. Even if Mikel knew there was more to that it didn’t matter at the moment.

He stood back up straight and ran his hands through his hair. Mikel still didn’t want to be crowded by a bunch of people and was shocked when he saw Jezebel leaving the crowd as he was just starting back into it. He grabbed gently on her forearm and looked down at her. Something was wrong with her and that upset him. His night could be ruined and that was fine for him but he wasn’t going to let that happen for her. “What happened?” He asked her in a surprisingly calm voice. “I am sorry for leaving, I shouldn’t have sorry if I upset you…” Mikey said to her sincerely and even though he didn’t really know why she was upset right now, he wondered if it might’ve been from his abrupt leaving.
