Hi all!
Long time no speak!
I’m putting together a list of books that I think every Literature student should read in their lifetime for my Bookshop.org shop, and I was wondering if you had any you’d like to suggest for the list?
Feel free to recommend any! I’m particularly looking for books that:
- Are referenced a lot in media like other books, TV shows, etc.
- Books that changed the way you think or the way you engage with literature.
- Books that you enjoyed studying at school.
- Books that you think more people should read because it would benefit them.
They can be fiction or non-fiction and they can be novels, novellas, short story collections, plays, poetry collections, memoirs… anything!

I’m surprised there isn’t “Of Mice and Men” or any Jane Austen books in the list, Shani.

Thanks for the help @CrazyCaliope! I’m happy to report I’m making a proper profit with the tutoring business now 
and this is me trying to get away from using Amazon affiliates so it’s super helpful

I turned it into a limited company because it’s enough to pay for the website and give me a little spare on the side each month! Not enough to replace my work yet though haha. Maybe one day! Setting up a community there

WOW. That’s great. Congrats again. Just remember that if you start to get close to earning over a certain amount in profit, to fill in a tax report. I believe it’s not a problem here until you’re dealing with about 10 grand a year, but not sure about there.
100%. Either Hitchhiker’s or Catch-22, or both.
You have to do it if you’re over 1k here in gross income, regardless of whether you make a profit or not. I’ve got an accountant, though, so we’re all good! Trying to grow it to see if I can get it to replace my work income by 2030!
