I’ve read a few of the books on the list, so I’ll talk about them first.
This one definitely has an interesting perspective on mythology and magic, which is fairly similar to Harry Potter. They’re both about young kids who fight a lot of monsters, so they’re actually fairly similar in their basic structure. I think they read fairly differently, but I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
I remember really liking these books when I was younger. If I remember correctly, there’s a kind of garden that houses fairytale creates which ends up being the main source of conflict in the stories. If I remember correctly, they’re well written and quite entertaining.
I really liked these books as well, although I’ve heard that they’re not as interesting to read again. They’re built on suspense, although have a fair amount of lore about dragons, which I couldn’t not like.
