Although I hold a personal aversion towards the high lady Belle Fleur, Adeline possesses the capacity to independently determine her choice of friends, I must affirm. To be candid, the nature of their friendship holds little significance to me. If she derives pleasure from their friendship, who am I to render judgment or entertain any sentiment regarding the matter?

First and foremost, the chance to establish a household and begin a family. I also desire to experience, and give, affection and love. Being companions, supporting each other with steadfast devotion. As well as someone who affords me the liberty to be my genuine self and grands me freedom to be my own person. To be in the company of an individual who constantly challenges and invigorates me, while also unconditionally embracing the imperfections I possess.

I certainly was quite fond of my papa. He was, without a doubt, a truly admirable man. Following his demise, a somber period enveloped us, and we collectively entered a state of mourning. I found myself obliged to navigate the complexities of my own emotions in the wake of his passing, all the while providing solace and assistance to my younger siblings. The absence of a paternal presence has indeed presented its challenges in my life since.

It would have been most welcome, to experience a robust bond between mother and daughter, one characterized by profound connection and affection. Instead of the dynamic which occured after my papa’s demise, wherein I found myself shouldering worries and being a source of support for her, it would have been more fitting for the roles to be reversed.

To a certain extent, yes, though I do comprehend the profound love she held for my father and the considerable impact his passing had on her. Therefore, I choose not to harbor any resentment towards her for it.

Truly, the most splendid years of my existence were spent there. Scotland’s breathtaking beauty, the embrace of its natural landscapes, and the privilege of observing such an unique equine breed on a daily basis were all remarkable, all while having the fortune of partaking in the finest education available.

Indeed, there are moments when such thoughts do cross my mind. However, I am not ruling out the possibility of returning to Scotland with my prospective spouse in the future, provided that Maisie finds her own contentment and stability, and this pursuit is something that my prospective spouse aspires to undertake as well.

No, I hold an unequivocal affection for my sister.

Among my earliest equestrian escapades were those shared solely with my mother, and those occasions will forever hold a cherished place in my heart

A mare named Evangeline, she has been under my care since I was the tender age of fifteen.

I am of the firm conviction that the discernment of the Queen should be regarded with utmost respect. If she has deemed any individual, regardless of their social standing, suitable to partake in the season, it is incumbent upon us, the ton, to honor her choices and extend our acceptance to these individuals and welcome them within our society
In my own view, the courting season should ideally remain reserved for those of noble lineage. While I would not intentionally disparage or disregard those from outside this circle, I must confess a preference for a more exclusive approach to the season

Ah, what a delightful inquiry, indeed! The selection of my attire is a pursuit to which I dedicate a substantial portion of my time and consideration. My choice for daytime formal attire commonly comprises a morning dress adorned in gentle hues, complemented by a Spencer Jacket in a livelier yet harmonizing shade. The jacket, ideally graced with a puffed sleeve, serves to accentuate my shoulders while achieving a balance in my overall physique. For evening formal occasions, my preference leans towards a modest yet exquisite ball gown, predominantly adorned in a rich shade of green to harmonize with the tones of my hair and the color of my eyes. Complementing this ensemble, I would opt for an embellished floor-length shawl, pure white gloves crafted from silk, and lastly, a selection of elegant pearl jewelry to complete the ensemble. For each of those, daytime or evening, these outfits would be combined with intricate updos, elaborate knots, and meticulously woven braids. For occasions of lesser formality, my inclination would be to attire myself in a day dress, when within the confines of my abode, my inclination leans towards dresses graced by shades of pink and peach. I would accompany this attire by a more relaxed and unpretentious hairstyle. In such instances, I would forgo jackets or shawls, and opting for shorter gloves instead.
When aiming for a formal appearance, my preference lies with the customary combination of a black tailcoat, white waistcoat, white shirt, and black trousers— a choice that resonates with the conventional attire for gentlemen. However, for occasions of reduced formality, I find myself drawn to a coat with intricate patterns and the inclusion of fabrics that grant me greater comfort. This selection caters to my engagement with nature and equestrian pursuits, permitting me to work alongside horses and ride them with ease.

I am fortunate to have a delightful companion in the form of a Pomeranian, graced with a luxuriously fluffy coat in a rich shade of brown. She bears the name Isabella, and her disposition is characterized by a truly spirited and enjoyable personality.
I possess ownership of several horses situated upon our estate, 2 mares and a gelding, and in addition, I am the proprietor of a diligent working dog—a lovely collie named Teddy, to be precise.

During my youth, prior to the outbreak of the conflict, I embarked on a journey to Paris in the company of my mama, papa, and siblings. This was a part of the obligations that accompany our noble status. Regrettably, that is the most distant voyage I have undertaken. Within the confines of the British Isles, my travels have primarily been confined to the regions of England and Wales. The experience of observing a foreign land left a profound impression on me, igniting within a desire to further partake in explorations and widen my horizons.
To be quite honest, my journeys have been rather limited, unless one were to include my ventures in Scotland. My affections are undeniably intertwined with the British Isles, and as such, my aspirations to explore beyond their shores remain somewhat subdued.

I seek a gentleman of intellectual prowess, one who possesses the capacity to engage me in stimulating conversations. It is my desire that he carries with him a degree of worldly wisdom, perhaps from his travels or foreign upbringing. A progressive and open-minded disposition is of utmost importance, as I am resolute in my conviction that I am more than a mere visage of beauty—a sentiment he must wholeheartedly recognize and respect. Furthermore, a keen sense of humor is a trait that would undeniably elevate his standing in my esteem. In matters of physical appearance, I incline toward a gentleman whose height surpasses my own. A warm and captivating smile, accompanied by captivating eyes—those windows to the soul—holds a particular allure for me. While a well-groomed beard is appreciated, it is not an essential criterion, as his other attributes hold greater significance in my considerations. In the grand scheme of things, I hold the conviction that his character and personality bear far greater weight in my assessment than his physical attributes. Although my preference leans toward a future husband who refrains from smoking, I must admit that this factor alone would not serve as an absolute determinant in my decision-making.

No, my brother indulges in smoking within our residence on occasion. The odor is sufficiently distasteful to deter me from ever entertaining the notion of trying it myself.

I hold an unequivocal aversion to individuals who lack respect for women, such gentlemen lack the merit to be considered a suitable candidate for matrimony.

Although my desire might lean towards it, the reality is that such a matter is not feasible I am afraid so, given that I made my debut last year.

I am well aware that I should count myself fortunate for the proper upbringing I have received. However, in an ideal world, I would long for the liberty to pursue my own path—studying, traversing the globe, and engaging in endeavors of personal interest. Alas, being the daughter of a Marquis, such aspirations are circumscribed by the societal expectations and constraints that come with my station.

Tea holds an esteemed place in my preferences, and the companionship of dear friends at tea parties is a source of great delight. Yet, a part of me occasionally yearns for these occasions to be imbued with a touch of informality, allowing for a more relaxed and genuine exchange.

Your perspective is undeniably reasonable, and I find myself in agreement. I cannot speak differently than admit the strain between Lady Belle Fleur and myself has largely been a consequence of parental influence. In this upcoming season, I shall make a concerted effort to personally acquaint myself with her, to form my own impressions, and determine if any commonalities exist between us.

  • would you rather end the season alone (having to go through another season next year), or end the season with someone less than perfect for you ? on that same note…what about for life? would you rather end up alone, unable to provide heirs, or providing heirs with someone less than ideal (maybe slightly too old, too dull, too strict, too smelly, etc)

  • would you rather get so drunk you throw up during a seasons ball, or get so anxious that you sweat through your dress/outfit and everyone you dance with complains of your sweaty hands ?

  • would you rather bed a noble person and have everyone know, or bed a common person and no one know ?

  • would you rather live in England for the rest of your life and never be able to leave, or be able to live in a country of your choice and travel but never be able to return to England ?

Jane Austen undoubtedly stands as a remarkable source of inspiration. Beyond my fervent admiration for the literary works she has penned, it is her adept navigation of society as a woman and her resolute independence as a writer that truly kindles my admiration. 10
Although I can acknowledge the merit in her literary compositions, I must confess that they do not profoundly captivate my own interests. The prominence of romance within her narratives leaves me somewhat ambivalent, and I find myself uncertain about the notion of a woman embarking upon such an audaciously independent existence. 6

Napoleon’s influence invokes a deep sense of unease within me. His unyielding pursuit of power and conquest has brought upheaval to Europe, leaving a trail of uncertainty and disruption that I cannot help but fear what implications it will have on the British Isles. The stories of conflict and upheaval cast a shadow on my thoughts, leaving me apprehensive about the lasting impact of his actions and the implications they hold for the future. 3
His aggressive expansionism disrupts the equilibrium of Europe, undermines diplomacy, and erodes the foundation of stable governance. The prioritization of power over principle is a perilous path, one that jeopardizes the very essence of order. As a British Marquis, my apprehension toward Napoleon stems from a reasoned perspective that values stability, international norms, and the rule of law above mere military prowess. 1

Ambroise Paré’s legacy as a pioneering figure in medical practice is both fascinating and commendable. His innovative approaches to surgical techniques have undoubtedly revolutionized the field of medicine. His emphasis on humane and compassionate care, as well as his willingness to challenge established practices, speaks to his dedication to improving patient outcomes. While my understanding of medicine may be limited, I cannot help but admire his contributions that resonate even during our current era. 9
His exploration of new surgical techniques, even if met with initial skepticism, reflects an intellectual courage to challenge the status quo for the betterment of medical practice. However, it’s imperative to acknowledge that while his advancements were marked by logical innovation, the efficacy and implications of his methods might warrant further critical evaluation from a pragmatic standpoint. 7

Madame de Pompadour’s intellect and unwavering resolve are captivating. Her adept navigation of French court politics and formidable influence reveal a truly remarkable character. I admire her achievements and the challenges she overcame as a woman in such a position. Her legacy exemplifies the power of intellect and determination within aristocratic realms. 9
Her association with the intricacies of the French court raises valid questions about the integrity of political proceedings. The intertwining of personal relationships with matters of governance prompts a circumspect examination of potential repercussions within the broader historical narrative. 5

He draws me in with its poetic essence. His artistic soul resonates, and his passion for Mimi reflects my own longing for genuine emotion. Amid the bohemian setting, his struggles and ardor mirror the challenges we encounter. His ability to express profound feelings makes him truly captivating, an embodiment of my own desires for love and connection. 8
Though elements of his love story possess a certain beauty, it appears to me that he approaches matters with a certain naiveté, particularly when it comes to matters of the heart. His tendency to be driven by emotions might cloud his judgment and lead to less practical decisions. 6.5

I hold a firm aversion to his choice to wed Margaret Beaufort at such a youthful age. It seems evident that he employed her as a mere instrument to further his own interests, devoid of any genuine sentiment or affection between them. 4
I do hold a certain admiration for his capacity to make a rational choice, even if it might not have been his personal preference and his decision would be frowned upon by many today. This decision contributed to fostering a sense of stability within a tumultuous era, a mark of pragmatism in challenging times. 7

Such matters shall be reserved for future discourse between Maisie and myself, as time unfolds its course. However, I can reveal certain traits I aspire for in a potential suitor for her. It is my wish that she finds a partner from a noble background, someone of proper upbringing, and who is reputable. A gentleman who treats her with kindness and tenderness. Ultimately, her wellbeing and happiness are of utmost importance.

No singular name particularly stands out, if that is the inquiry you are making. As for a list of gentlemen I would prefer her not to consider for marriage, I deem it more appropriate to withhold that information for the present.

Would you honestly be willing to at least try courting someone like this or would you fear scrutiny as well from the rest of the ton? Would the size of her dowry be a factor? I believe I would only consume horse meat, though I must confess that the decision is challenging. My fondness for food is undeniable, yet horses hold a unique place in my heart as exceptional creatures.
I would go to great lengths, even to the extent of forgoing dinner indefinitely, if it leads to the preservation and protection of horses.

I would much prefer to conclude the season without a match.
I would rather conclude the season with a less than ideal match than to remain unattached.

My desire for a family is strong, and I am willing to make certain compromises if necessary. At my current age, such decisions are premature, but I am open to the idea of aligning with a less than perfect match for the sake of building a life together and securing heirs in the future.
Ensuring the continuation of our family’s lineage is of utmost importance to me. I have a strong desire to marry this season, even if it means joining with someone who may have imperfections, all in the pursuit of perpetuating our family’s heritage.

Although it might result in discomfort and awkwardness, I would opt for the sweaty choice.
I suppose I would choose the intoxinated option, even though I have consumed alcohol quite liberally in the past without experiencing nausea.

To be perfectly honest, my response hinges on the nature of your inquiry. Does the prospect of engaging in intimate relations with a person of nobility lead to an escalation of scandal or not?
I hold no inclination for either option, unless it involves my future wife. However, if I were compelled to make a choice, I suppose I would select the option of bedding a commoner.

If I had the opportunity to take my siblings with me and embark on a journey, never to return to England, I would seriously consider it. My affinity for England is limited, and I believe I could find greater happiness in other lands.
I would undoubtedly choose to remain within the British Isles. I have little inclination to venture far from this region.

Horse racing, in my view, should be more accessible to women. It has been an event dominated by men for far too long.
While horse racing does provide a significant portion of my income, I hold reservations about the sport due to the harm it can inflict upon the horses involved.

I must say, I find promenades to be one of the most enjoyable ways of socializing. Their relaxed and casual nature appeals to me greatly.
I find promenades to be quite overrated; I personally prefer the simple pleasure of private walks in nature.

Ladies should have the freedom to dress in any fashion they desire, without the constraints of such strict fashion rules.
Modistes are quite overrated. I do not judge a lady based on the outfit she wears; there are far more important qualities to consider.

The Fleur family is rather overbearing and overpowering
I find the Hastingtons not that pleasant of a family

I truly admire her for her accomplishments achieved through her own efforts.
I fail to comprehend why individuals would give so much heed to mere gossip and unfounded rumors.

I firmly believe that women should have the opportunity to attend the highest levels of education.

It is my opinion that we ought to expand our academic pursuits from predominantly religious studies to encompass a broader range of social studies.

Why do gentlemen enjoy the privilege of exclusive clubs, while there exists no counterpart for ladies?
I hold the belief that gentlemen’s clubs pose a threat to the decorum of polite society.

I feel like all these answers truly show the feminist side in Albina

Indeed, I am quite skilled in languages. Apart from English, I am fluent in five other languages: Welsh, Spanish, French, Greek, and German. French, in particular, captivates me with its romantic allure and melodious tones.
I’m afraid I am only proficient in English and Scottish Gaelic. Nevertheless, I found the experience of learning Scottish Gaelic in Scotland to be truly delightful.

I take my tea with a generous amount of sugar and a splash of milk.
I prefer my tea without any adornments.

I would opt for green attire, although I feel more at ease in pink. However, the latter doesn’t quite complement my physical features.
Black would be my preferred choice. Most of my attire is black, and it proves to be quite practical, especially when I’m with the horses.
