She was indeed my closest confidante before the unfortunate circumstances befell her. We shared a profound friendship. However, the tides have turned, and a great deal has transpired behind closed doors. At this juncture, I find myself questioning whether she remains within the circle of those I hold dear as friends.

Indeed, we did both make our debut in the same season. It came as an enormous surprise to me that, out of all the debutantes, she emerged as the diamond of the season.

There exists a duality in my sentiments, for while part of me would have welcomed the prospect of receiving such attention and, perchance, the opportunity to effect change in the lives of other young ladies, the societal expectations and the constraints it would entail are not to be underestimated.

She is a charming and delightful young lady.

Lord Cassian Ellis is a remarkable gentleman, and in my youth, I was acquainted with him nearly as intimately as I was with my dear friend, Aurelia. Regrettably, the passage of time has distanced us somewhat.

Indeed, there have been moments when I pondered the possibility of uniting in matrimony with Lord Cassian Ellis. Had the circumstances of our relationship not shifted as they did, I most certainly would not have dismissed the notion. Nevertheless, my heart’s desire lies not solely in securing a favorable social position; love must undoubtedly accompany any union. It grieves me to hear you suggest that I would enter such a sacred commitment solely for the sake of rank and status.

The young lady has indeed endured great misfortune. I hold hope in my heart that she shall recover her memories and return to the person she once was.

I find myself unable to dissuade her from this course of action, can I? I recall her never displaying such a deep yearning for matrimony.

I was in my youth, unprepared, and lacked any pressing need to hasten into matrimony.

A part of me indeed believes so. I sense she might have found greater contentment if she hadn’t, and I find it distressing to witness this altered version of her. Personally, matters might not have grown as intricate had she not returned.

A lady of striking beauty, she has endured considerable trials, yet I hold in high regard her admirable management of these challenges.

Indeed, I do believe that we are friends.

Part of me certainly does. We have known each other from a young age, and I have seen her grow up. I’ve always tried my best to care about her and guide her.

Her equestrian abilities are commendable, I would rate them as a solid 8 out of 10.

No, she is by no means an incompetent equestrian. I have imparted upon her all the requisite knowledge. Other circumstances conspired to lead to her mishap.

I possess adequate teaching skills, and she is a proficient rider.

I also instructed her in equestrian pursuits, yet she never quite excelled in riding, leading to a less substantial connection between us. However, she does possess qualities that I believe could make her a suitable candidate for this year’s diamond.

The one in the Ellis family with whom I share the most complex history, but I would rather not delve into the particulars.

It is undoubtedly a melancholy situation, yet perhaps it could be viewed as a blessing in disguise. With her childhood distractions now absent, she can wholeheartedly concentrate on this year’s social season.

My common nickname for her is, Auri, but Rellie was affectionately employed when she displayed a touch of rebelious independence.

The Duke and Duchess are unquestionably esteemed individuals.

From a logical standpoint, it would be a highly respectable match to wed the daughter of a duke and duchess. However, when it comes to matters of the heart, I must confess that I have not harbored any romantic sentiments towards her thus far. She feels much akin to a sister in my eyes.

An overly nosy young lady

Depends on the circumstances, most usually a carriage

I cannot say I have

Be in utter shock, yet handle the matter with discretion

I dare say, I do not believe I would be amongst the living today had I engaged in a duel.

overrated

This inquiry seems to be as scattered as confetti at a masquerade ball. Therefore, I shall abstain from providing an answer.

In the moment of her betrothal, I anticipate that financial concerns ought not to trouble us.

The violin, it is a most exquisite instrument.

I wish to be married this season indeed
For certain

We maintain a rather extensive household staff, although it does tend to see frequent fluctuations. Typically, we employ around twenty individuals
We do retain the services of a cook and a maid, although our household staff is otherwise rather limited.

I do indeed hope to assume the role of a mother in a few years’ time
As I am obliged to produce an heir to carry on the family lineage, it is a duty I must undertake. However, I must admit that I harbor reservations about whether I shall truly find enjoyment in it, considering the inevitable chaos a child tends to bring.

Who can say? He may be.
I do believe that this year may very well be the one in which I shall discover my future wife.

I tend to pursue my own interests for the most part, though I do feel a sense of duty and responsibility towards my siblings, I must confess.
Without a doubt, my primary aim is to bring satisfaction and happiness to my family

I do wear corsets, yet I hold a deep-seated aversion towards them.

Stubbornness

Reading

Concealing my true essence.

I most certainly do, unless it is about myself, for I wish to hold my respected position in society.

As a lively spirit filled with an abundance of aspirations.

They transpired adequately, though I found myself predominantly engrossed in my pursuits in Scotland.

Overwhelmed by a plethora of other matters.

Given that I was on the cusp of turning seventeen and preparing to undertake several years of study in Scotland, I faced a decision. I could either present myself as quite youthful at that age, or I could delay my debut until after my studies were completed. I opted for the former, as it afforded me certain advantages in officially entering London society

No more came to pass than the sharing of a few dances with the same lady.

I have not

It is not that I seek anything particular, you see. The timing for matrimony simply did not align favorably in the past.

We shall see!
