Dance 1: Edmund Wycliff
“It is to my understanding that you have come a long way to be here, correct?”
Priti nodded as she began to dance with the man, blushing with a smile as he described her as ‘lovely’. “Thank you, my Lord.” She responded, still smiling. “My brother and I travelled here from India. It was he who suggested we come to London to look for potential spouses. I was excited by the proposition, so I agreed, though I do not know why he suggested it.” She explained to him.
“Forgive me, my lord, but might I ask for your name?” She asked him, curious. She had been impressed by his interest in her and her origins and wished to know exactly who he was so she could greet him properly the next time they met. “I like to know who it is that I am dancing with. Especially when, and forgive my forwardness, they are this handsome.” She added, looking him in the eyes.
