“I suppose I will look into it. Whould you like to know what happens once I do?”
“Yes, please do! If you ascertain some risk or some reason it’s not a good idea to invest in it, I’d like to know before I say farewell to my money.” He answered.
”You know I do not fear the ire of my mother, so there is no need. Yet, if you do with to share a dance with me, I shal oblige. I shal do my best not to tread on your feet. I believe that is my curse. I do appreciate the offer. Thank you for saving me from the grating yells of mother. God so knows my ears need a break.”
“Oh I understand, I shan’t ask you for a dance to please your mother again. But, I will ask for one to please you. It saddens me to see you partake in dancing with a sour face knowing if there wasn’t an expectation of possibly marrying your dance partner some day you’d enjoy it far more. Knowing we’re too close a relation to ever marry but not so close to be impropper for us to dance, like me and Abigail would be, I ask you to dance the fourth dance with me, so that you might enjoy at least a small amount of the evening withouth having to pout all day becuase of your mother forcing oyu to find suitors. Trust me, it’s only an entertaining little dance between cousins, with no expectations whatsoever.” He proposed with a smile, before seeing Bridget dancing with somebody. "I’ve seen you talking to Bridget earlier, which means you were introduced to the fact she is blind. Seeing her on that dance floor only makes me proud. I must dance the next with her and compliment her on it, for dancing like that is something to be complemented on it’s own, let alone when the one dancing is blind. You do not mind if I go to her, do you cousin? I have a notion you might enjoy being alone for a while more than talking to me. Or maybe that last bit apllied a bit to him as well.
