As he walked away and lady Albina and lord Edgar began their dances, Harrison stared at them. A hand under his chin- what was he thinking of? Nothing of much importance really, he was just wondering how they knew each other. Lord Edgar’s discomfort at social soirées was known to him, while Lady Albina’s fervor for socialization was evident. Thus, the query lingered – how had their camaraderie blossomed? He mused softly, a hum slipping from his lips as he turned and continued his perambulation. He sat down on a table, interacting with the other gentlemen as they drank and shared conversations- Harrison did not drink with them or at least did not drink alcohol with them but he had talked a lot with them. Sharing laughter, his eyes scanned the dance room- till he saw his sister, dancing with someone he was not too fond of as a dancing partner for that.
“Why are they dancing together?” It was not meant as a question that needed an answer nor did he intend to say his thoughts out loud- and yet both occurred. Someone had answered with, “because he had asked her to dance.” and he had said his thought out loud.
“Oh is that so?” Harrison said faking a fake surprised, “Is that truly the case? Here I was, entertaining the fanciful notion that sorcery wove their waltz. How foolish of me.” He said rolling his eyes as he stood up, dropping his glass. “do not have too much fun without me, I will be back,” Harrison said.
Harrison began walking towards his sister when he stopped in his tracks. Right- there was nothing he could do was there? It was a dance in a public event and Harrison was trying to do his best in staying away from scandals this season- he probably already had one. one that his mother would not seize talking about once they reached home. But Harrison could not just let his younger sister dance with that man and not supervise them! He had to know what they were talking about, when his sister began to laugh, Harrison raised a brow- for what was that lady laughing about? Harrison knows that man, the man was not funny. What type of fake laugh was that? His poor sister, she was trapped! Harrison shook his head- no, there was no other way about it! For her had to know what they were talking about.
Meaning, Harrison is indeed of a dance partner. He was truly thinking of taking a break from dancing this fourth dance, but it seems the universe has other plans for him. Harrison eyed the ballroom- really, anyone would do- after all it was not really a dance for ‘him’ but a way to listen to what his sister and the man were speaking of, but still, Harrison did not wish to dance with a lady who was too dull or too bold (for the later, at least not right now for he might get distracted, any other day. Sure). He pursued his lips, not really finding anyone who caught his eye to dance with and he was about to just go with any lady he saw who was free when lady Bridget Beckham.
Was she not the blind woman? A lady who was visually impaired in a world like this was truly at a disadvantage in society. Harrison thought to himself, unfairly treated against- the world was truly cruel to them and Harrison had heard many insults herld at Lady Beckham from the people he talked to- who mocked her blindness. Though, Harrison did not know her- he had defended her, blindness was not something to be mocked after all.It was a sad thing to not be able to see the world’s beauty but to only be able to hear the world’s horrors- but Harrison often found that visually disadvantage people where the best of artists. They always had a talent for arts the arts was usually what kept them going and he wondered shall Lady Beckham be like that? But he shall not focus too much on that- after all he did have a sister to eavedrop on but if she was an artist, Harrison always had a passion for talking to other artists. Art interested him after all, he believed that art was the reason one breathes and exist.
Thus, he walked up to her, a smile on his handsome features, “Lady Beckham” Harrison said drawing her attention. He took her left hand gently in his right so she knew at what direction he was in, “I heard,” releasing her hand and putting his own hands behind his back, a smile on his face- though she could not see it. " The music here is lovely, but I believe your laughter could outshine any melody. Would you do me the honor of this dance? And in repayment I shall make you laugh, bring a joyful expression to a lovely face. I am told, I easily create smiles from people." Harrison continued, “I am earl Harrison, Harrison Davis. an enchanter, an artist and a dreamer. And currently, I’m having dreams, I’m having dreams of you dancing with me, I’m having dreams of us waltzing together in the dance center and I’m having dreams of your smile that I shall make a reality. I’m a dreamer it seems, a poor poor dreamer, will you be so kind to make my dreams reality?”
