To be fair though, with grammar I usually did fine, it were the vocabulary tests I scored really bad at. Mostly cause I barely studied. I had many debates with her though, as I didn’t know the exact words/translations provided in the list, but often I knew synonyms. My point always was the same one, why would it be a problem if I know a synonym, doesn’t that in a way show my English is more advanced. As in I actually know the language instead of the specific lists
