Depends on the type of memory loss. If she’s forgotten the past but can still make new memories that’s retrograde amnesia, she may remember something a person told her in her childhood just not who exactly told her. Specifics.
Anterograde is she remembers the past but can’t make new memories. For example: having to constantly ask someone their name.
