- wants: Lia (obviously…it’s been a want. it’ll always be a want. but is it a need??? who knows)
- needs: Therapy. LMAO uh no Adeline (surpriseee yeah Adeline. his closest friend aside from Lia. someone who’s always been there. someone who knows how to calm him down and level him out. perfect for him tbh)
Corin :
- wants: Margo (intriguing, beautiful, titled, would be good for him)
- needs: Lydia (gentle, good, independent, adventurous, lydia wants a new life that corin could give her and corin needs the security and healing that she would bring. she could fix him. I don’t think many people could)
Belle :
- wants: Auggie (you’re welcome lol)
- needs: Atlas (switch it up a bit. I think atlas could be a want and a need. someone she’s comfortable with who can kind of gently guide her toward romance. wouldn’t be anything stand out, but it would be comfortable for her. I think she could use some peace of mind that atlas could provide her)
Harrison :
- wants: Adeline (the diamond. he seems to chase the most unattainable, the most attractive, just to say he can. she’s a want. she’s not a need)
- needs: Priti (I think they balance each other well and she gives the adoration he needs from a partner while also holding her own. I think they’d make a perfect couple tbh)
Ilyas :
- wants: Aurelia (for whatever reason)
- needs: I wasn’t initially going to say this but Albina (for whatever reason…after thinking it over I think they might work. she would give him the same energy he gives other people which I think would intrigue him. and she can for sure put him in his place which he needs. and I think they’d get along well once they pass the drama they’ve got going on)
Auggie :
- wants: Margo (don’t we all…they are super cute. gotta admit)
- needs: you know what Margo (this might be the only couple who I fully believe wants and needs each other. Margo is the fire that Auggie sometimes lacks. he brings poetry and gentleness when she needs to romanticize life. they both have a love for nature that I think provides a solid foundation for their appreciation of each other and the world. and I think they’d genuinely make each other very happy)
Aurelia :
- wants: Magnus? (I’m not sure where her wants are right now. probably in the most titled which is Magnus)
- needs: Orpheus (orpheus is her closest childhood friend and the person who knows her through and through. given that she doesn’t know herself right now, that counts for a lot. she needs someone to ground her, to remind her of who she is, to provide undying strength and support and love. that will always be Orpheus for her. and I think she very much needs that now more than ever)
Lydia :
- wants: Atlas? (hard to tell with her too, but I’m thinking it’s atlas)
- needs: unbiased…Corin (truthfully lydia needs someone unburdened by society. Corin has no real ties here. he is able to give her whatever life she wants wherever she wants it. I think her biggest need is escape. from here. from her parents. from everything. only Corin can truly provide that full escape. full peace for her)
Bainbridge :
- wants: Bridget (I assume based on their interactions)
- needs: Bridget maybe (kinda hard to tell what he really needs but I think Bridget balances him. she’s smart, gentle, determined. she’d keep him in line and focused. she would run their household lowkey. I think he’d need that)
Abigail :
- wants: Bruce?
- needs: Edgar (although Bruce is a decent match, I think abi and edgar are more intellectually and personally compatible. they would love to sit next to each other reading for hours and ramble about what they learned to each other over dinner. they would just fit well)
Louisa :
- wants: ?? nothing??
- needs: Klaus (that balance of wills. she’s too much. even enjoys being too much. enjoys hurting people. he’s into that. he would relish in her attention, even negative attention, and would think her trying to hurt him would be cute. honestly I really love the idea of them together. very perfectly balanced)
Edgar :
- wants: ? idk
- needs: Abigail ^ same reasoning
Finch :
- wants: Bridget ??
- needs: Azu (idk what happened with them but Azu gives that forever kind of love. I think finch would need that bc he’s not the type to give that. he’d be the boyfriend she dragged with her absolutely everywhere and he’d love it but would never say that. he needs someone more outgoing and intense than him. I think they’d be cute)
Priti:
- wants: Harrison (he sweet talks her as he does every girl)
- needs: Baylor (I think she’s got this insane idea of romance that will never be fulfilled. people like Harrison hype that idea up but might disappoint her in the long run. she’s got a fantasy idea of what love is. she needs someone to pull her back down to earth. to show her that love might not be like it is in the books, but it is real and strong and reliable. I think that’s Baylor. he would be there always. he would give her everything she’s looking for in a partner, and I think they’d be very cute together)
Azucena :
- wants: Harrison (I think she’s always wanted Harrison. always will want Harrison)
- needs: Archi (idk why no one has put them together yet, but Archi gives that protective and strong vibe that Azu craves. he’s loyal, dedicated, titled, and would definitely always look out for her. they would be SO GOOD together and idk why no one has said this before. I love them but Harrison is close second)
Nikhil:
- wants: Belle ??
- needs: Bridget (he’s a bit much, she’d be blushing no matter what came out of his mouth, and I think they’d be cute. she would appreciate his corniness. and he could be himself around her. plus they’d look hot af together)
Albina :
- wants: so many people
- needs: Harrison (I think Harrison would provide the comfort and stability she’s lacked. I think the romance and pretty words he brings would be something Albina needs for reassurances. she needs that validation in romance and Harrison will never be shy to provide it. he knows how to handle her. she knows how to get a rise out of him. I think the way they’d flirt and interact would be pretty hot and spicy ngl. I think they’d be good together)
Baylor :
- wants: Adeline (I get why. she’s pretty. she’s nice)
- needs: Aurelia (pains me to write that…
but I think they’d be good. he’s stable, strong, holds his emotions well, supportive. outside of Orpheus, I think Baylor would treat her the best and with the most love and care. she’s not the most stable but she’s kind and searching for something good. she could fill in the gaps of his desires and he could help guide her into finding herself again. they would be cute)
