because I think Orpheus is so used to it now that he doesn’t even understand
so to have finch be concerned. truly. I think maybe it’ll help Orpheus see how bad it is

I actually love their dynamic
bc Finch wanted to be for Orpheus what he never had for himself. and Orpheus wanted Finch to be what he never had from his own brother. they’re both trying to fulfill a familial need and bond within each other and are using each other to sort of heal old wounds
and I think Finch having a sort of reference point for Orpheus’ emotions is soooo so so important in their relationship moving forward and how they understand each other
it really proves how much they care for and understand each other’s pains. and I think that is like step number one in them moving past it all eventually
like as sad as it is I’m glad Finch is able to make that connection between his own pain and the pain he caused Orpheus. it provides a necessary context and a bridge for them to be able to walk across together. precious fr fr

I think the biggest thing about Orpheus is how alone he feels. like despite having people around him, maybe even people who care for him, people tend to leave. or lie. or hurt him anyway.
so I mean again
it will still take A LOT to forgive Finch but it’s definitely a good start
