Part of me is like, I would love to step out my comfort zone and not only work with people I write a lot with in the Selection, but on the other hand, comfort and being familiar with how someone works and writes is such a plus as well… Idk anymore

Of course! I basically want people joining the rp to actively DM and plan with other characters (preferably two owned by two different RPers). This will be shown to me in two ways:

There will be a character relationship slides released soon where everyone will right connections with other characters: (Ex: Sarah Paxton - Daniel Foringham: Past Friends/ Current Enemies)

On the sign ups; there is a question that notes “Shared Secrets” This isn’t required required but I do want everyone to aim for 2 things happening between families.
In other words:
I would like families (Your characters family; and 2 other characters families) to plan something to further integrate the rp.
So by that, I simply mean plan secrets with two other individuals who are in this rp and this can be either before or after you submit your character.
Example: Say you have a character and I have a character and Brooke has a character. I am going to try to plan something with my character and both of your characters before the start of the rp. (It could be something simple like my character courted brook’s character but it was broken off) and I have to plan with yours (I could say they are best friends who got into trouble 2 years ago for dropping wine on the queens gown and were shunned from the party)
Let me know if this makes sense!

At the end of the day: High society = Small world
Families interact, have drama, have marriages within the family etc: I put that as a rule to encourage interaction and some planning before the RP starts so every single conversation isn’t like “Oh hi… and you are?”
and more like:
“Lord Drake… what a pleasure to see you after that… incident at the Maddington’s party.”

I think my trick to this is working in a bit of both
So if you decide you want 4 good secrets: You either do a 2:2 ratio (2 secrets with people you work well with, and 2 you haven’t interacted with much)
OR a 3:1 - 3 people you interact with often and one new one and once you get more comfortable reach out to more people you don’t talk with a lot
The fun of a rp is interacting with people you know and are comfy with but also those who want to grow into that comfort with you
