I hope we’re on the same page when I say “don’t romance plan”
Just to be clear: I want you to plan. I want you to plan specific moments that you are really excited to rp out (Say you want one of your characters to have a very specific fight with another one, a few skips in. Or in the next time skip, you want one character to come to Albina’s home for sure to have a conversation). I also want you to plan out what happened with Albina in the past with other characters etc. (I’m being specific with albina but this honestly is a message for everyone)
I would like you to plan out potential romances with people. Like you could talk to @/DandelionKate and say you want a specific moment with orpheus where xyz happens.
The only thing I don’t want is one rper to focus on another rper and say “This is the character that another character will end up for sure.”
You can say there’s potential (pick like 3 people, talk to the rper’s, and explain that you see high potential and confirm with them that they see it too and are willing to explore that.)
But part of the reason why I want it to be potential and not confirmed is because as things occur in the rp, secrets come out, they act a certain way, etc - your character might be more into someone else.

All my characters relate
I thought numbers like that were only used after 20 … I thought they’d still use nineteen for age, I think Bridgerton messed up on that one, because I clearly remeber characters from regency era books being described as “Lydia is 15 years old” and things like that, whereas the same character that said that would then later say “I am but one and twenty” meaning that this rule would apply only with numbers greater than 20

I don’t want it to feel like “speed dates”
I want it to feel like you’re either exploring possibilities of the past or the future. Every person you dance with should have a role in your character’s storyline - whether it be a romance, or even simply a dramatic plot twist to keep yourself and the other rper interested!

I understand. I’m sorry to hear that, and I hope that you can at least still have some fun with this rp. It’s a different formant from what you’re comfortable with for sure - but i hope, at the very least, it’ll provide an interesting challenge for you to try and branch out - even if it’s uncomfortable or frustrating to do so.

Okay, okay! This is sort of what I was thinking tho, for example me and Maddy have been planning a follow up interaction for Ilyas and Albina a little bit, things like that I do plan out, but idk, it’s still tough for me in a way…

To be honest, the way I stay motivated is by having a plot line for my character
It isn’t always one set in stone, but I like having a general idea of what my character is going to do through the RP, which I get from planning with others so it doesn’t always have to be so open-ended

Well, let’s just say all the people my characters will be dancing with, I have a reason for having picked them to dance!

I think that’s the fun of it a little - but perhaps that’s just me!
But yes, I do think having some sort of mental structure is good. I know what I want to do with Lia’s story in general (I mean her life story)
The romance is second to that, but it’s something that is just as important. This, however, is more "we’ll see where it goes, and who she talks with to push it in that direction.

Well, even if you all have witnessed how much I struggle with the writing sometimes, I think the products of what I am writing in the end are still pretty decent and with most posts I still at least somewhat have fun!
