Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

Holden Robé || Big House

Holden felt nice when she complimented him back. It didn’t seem that easy. Hopefully she didn’t say it because she felt she had to, or worse, because of pity. That would make it all much worse. He wasn’t sure if her statement was sad or just sarcastic, but prepare for the worst, right ? “Of course people care about you,” he assured her. “They might not show it but I’m sure they do.”

He nodded. “That’s a really good point.” He didn’t like judging people - he hated it - but he didn’t expect her to be so smart. Her argument made him think, was he maybe too straight forward? Maybe he should slow his pace down. Holden talked to a lot of people, he liked meeting new people, but he never thought of the fact they didn’t all want to be friends.

He grinned, this wasn’t just an empty, blank compliment he shot out previously. This was a genuine compliment, thought out, not just some random positive words. “You should, you’ll find it quite useful,” he assured her. Holden could see she was in a good mood by her chuckle, he happily joined her with no other reason but enjoyment.

“Right,” he replied with a neutral expression. She said it was fine, so why was it still bothering him? He tried to get the thought out of his head as he watched Leilani walk away. They had a nice conversation.

As the shaking began, Leilani hurried back. Holden noticed the surroundings made her uncomfortable so he extended an arm in case she’d need to take it. He bit his lip and with a serious look in his eyes. “It’s not a joke, I can tell you that much,” he replied. “If you’re in it… We can’t be too sure, but it’s a possibility.” Concern rose in Holden’s eyes, Leilani obviously didn’t want to do this. He didn’t have a pep talk prepared and if he started one, it would probably just ruin everything.

@euphoriaa - Leilani Gene No, don’t worry, it’s fine. However, this is going really great, maybe we should go with plan 1 instead (:
