Maybe I should take Finn’s advice, ignore the prophecies. The prophecies were always difficult to decode and half the time made no sense, but most of the time they always went south. I stared up at the bright blue sky and cloudgazed. I saw an elephant and then a balloon until Finn asked me a question. “Maybe the kids of… not necessarily bad but… violent gods. You know, Ares, Hades. Kids that don’t care.” I shrugged.
Bang. Bang. Bang. BANG!
I turned around swiftly to the barriers radiating yellow. “Finn…” I said quietly. I then saw what was the cause. Empousas were growling, hammering the barrier. “Finn!” I yelled louder standing up. I put my hands on my head and thought. What to do, what to do… I noticed how the top of the barrier was weakening and it traveled down. An idea clicked into my head. I ran along the barrier swiftly to look out to see where the monsters were coming from. I stayed not to close to it however, in case it broke down.

I got a harsh blow in my side. My side burned however it wasn’t bleeding, just bruised. I lost my balance and my head stirred around. I regained my balance and struck again. Our swords clashed against one another.

I heard. I turned around from Evita wondering what the sound was. My eyes shot open. “The barrier!” I yelled. I ran outside to a bunch of monsters crowded around the barrier breaking it down trying to get in. “Where the hell did they come from?!” I ran towards the barrier. Burst of flames erupted from my palms as I eyed the harpies coming in. I tossed a fireball towards one of them. The barrier can’t withstand such abuse. Any second the barrier would come crashing down and Camp Half-Blood would be ambushed by monsters.

I heard from outside. I looked towards Ace then the door. “We have to go!” I said. “Come on open the door, who knows whats out there?” I waited for Ace to move away from the door. It sounded like pounding on a large wall. Maybe it was the barrier? Surely not. Where would monsters even come from?

I heard pounding from some where. I looked towards the Big House doors then towards Remy and then to Erik. I turned around and opened the Big House doors. Outside the barrier were tons of monsters lined up, bashing the invisible wall. The monsters looked too familiar to me. I gulped and tried to look past the monsters trying to discover if somebody were controlling them. I mean, how could monsters appear out of no where?

I wasn’t paying much attention to the barriers, but I knew what was going down when I heard the banging. “No…” I said quietly. More and more monsters were coming and aggressively trying to tear the barrier down. “No!” I yelled and ran towards Athena cabin. I grabbed my katanas and pulled them out of the case. I quickly sharpened them and ran out of my cabin. I ran towards the barrier and took a stance along with some other campers. I guess this was what Isfet meant by war. We were suppose to play our cards first! Nobody was going to invade my camp, not like this anyhow!

Right before Kaylen struck I heard muted banging. Everyone looked towards the outside of the arena.
“The barrier!” My brother yelled and everyone ran for the door. I pushed outside and saw monsters lined up trying to get in. “No, no no…” I muttered under my breath. I ran up the hill to get a better view. One of them snarled at me and drooled like it could smell me. I shuddered and screeched as a large monster threw itself against the barrier. I looked around the tree, to see if there was any tiny clue or residue we could use.

The girl walked away from me. Such a disgusting attitude, whatever. After the announcement I roamed the camp to get familiar with it. A few minutes later there was banging. I looked over and there was a weird yellow wall surrounding the cabin and these… hideous huge things outside trying to… what seemed like get inside? They looked desperate to get in, hungry like they were ready to tear me open and eat my ribs like pork. Ugh, pork! I ran inside one of the cabins, closed and locked the door but compared to those huge things, a lock wouldn’t be able to keep them out.

There was a loud banging. Mabel looked towards the barrier. Monsters lined up, big and small were working together to tear down the wall. “Oh no..” Mabel said softly and inconsiderately. She tried to spring flames from her palms but the only thing she could produce were tiny sparks and that was it. She sighed. Her head throbbed and ached. She clutched onto her head and tried to keep herself stable and focus. “I don’t think it’s a good idea to try and fight this.” Monsters snarled and clawed at the barrier, but they didn’t scare or faze her. She contemplated walking up towards the hill and helping search for some clues - to show like she cared - but she knew she was weak. She walked in the other direction to get farther away from the monsters, leaving Ray to fend for herself.
