Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

:horse: Reuben Fletcher :horse:

As I trotted along the barrier looking for the opening a harpy came swooping down and clawed at my face. “Get… off of me you b*stard!” I yelled and I got what I wanted, it got off of me but decided to take me for a trip. Its claws sunk into my favorite sweater and flapped its wings. It was already set on a destination. I yelled, and screamed, and flailed. I balled a fist and punch the harpy as hard as I could. The harpy screeched and dropped me. The wind rushed through my hair and made my neck cold. This is it… this is how I go out I thought. Everything felt as if it was slow motion. The sky was so joyous and beautiful while chaos reaked. The balloon cloud passed by, then reality set back in. I crashed back on the ground landing on my arm. CRACK! I rolled over clutching my arm. “Mother-!” I yelled, forcing myself not to swear. My eyes began to swell with tears, my arm throbbed and ached. I grunted and coughed. I noticed how blurry my vision was and looked around for my glasses. I found them laying next to me, cracked and broken.

Finn came rushing over. I couldn’t hear what he was saying exactly, but something like I was okay. My arm says otherwise He picked me up and trotted towards the infirmary. I tried to let out a thank you but it translated to groans. We fled to the infirmary, the sounds of fireballs, screeching, and clashing swords behind us.

Dimitri defeated two harpies, throwing her spear with force as it spiraled through the air, catching them in the wings. Her pride was so obvious as she spun and twisted, fueled by the type of high only children of Ares got when in a fight. (Dimitri: 15) Ace hobbled, wheezing as he ran from the direction the harpies seem to come in. He was barely making it, stumbling around and falling every other second. Almost…there Ace groaned when all of sounded he felt a sharp prick in his left leg and fell. A harpy had bitten and flew around him, a piece of his skin in her beak as it cawed furiously. Ace attempted to bat them away but they ended up pecking at his hand and skin all over. He soon was overcome with harpies in his drunk state, a harpy grabbed his arm and twisted until a snap was heard. He screamed and fell to the floor, screaming. (Ace: 5) Amara was sorundded by harpies the moment she entered the fray and was quickly lifted up by them and tossed over the ridge, hitting her head on a sharp rock, knocking her out and blood pouring out from her forehead, but she wasn’t dead yet. Her breathing was rough, her fractured ribs and broken ones causing her enough pain for her to pass out. (Amara: 2) Micah went into the fight swinging, running after the harpies with a smile of insanity laughing hysterically as he swung, chopping off harpies heads and wings, leaving him with a body of feathers and harpies all around him. (Micah: 12) Albion’s hesitancy made him an obvious target for the harpies who dover and pecked and scratched at him. Another came and ripped off a piece of skin 3 inches in length. He yelped slightly before a flurry of arrows came his way, skewing them into the wall. (Albion: 6) Mave had picked the arrows and shot them only for her to be caught as a target the harpies wasted no time scratching before lifting her up and throwing her, Mave rolled over, a bloody nose was paired with her injured arm. (Mave: 7) Negan picked up a nearby sword as a high gust of wind picked him off the ground and smacked him into a nearby roof, blood poured from his mouth along with a tooth. (Negan: 7) Dorian was approached by the harpies but they immiedatly backed off when he waved the arrow, hissing, and flew off to attack some others. (Dorian: 17)

Ajax noticed how the empousas began to screech and fight with the evercoming swarm of harpies and looked confusedly. Who was the enemy and who was the friend? He didn’t have much time to continue pondering as the harpies swarmed for him, more upon more as they targeted him. He swung and parried excellently, lightining striking the ones that came to close. (Ajax: 12) Andrea observed and noticed how the wind seemed to beat up from the east and push the harpies deeper into the camp. (Andrea: 11) Vanya was left alone, hiding in her cabin. (Vanya: 17) Jake found Amara in the ridge and slid down there and rolled her over, noting all her injuries. (Jake: HEALER) Jessa’s flames burned and toasted the harpies to a perfect roast as she shot fireballs at the oncoming harpies. (Jessa: 11) Kamilah ran into the fray, swords sharp and the smell of blood wafted off of her as soon as she came into contact with the harpies, slashing, swift as blood cascaded from their slit throats on the ground. One had managed to drag it’s fingers down her arms, peeling off skin. (Kamilah: 9) Kelby found a plant, silver in color and it’s petals stretching outward in the shadow, it’s beauty radiating in the small shade around her. (Kelby: MOONFLOWER) Cress & Laron remained in the Infirmarary just fine. (Cress + Laron: 12) Camila was quickly lifted up by a gust of wind, she flailed but it couldn’t be helped as an arrow was shot. She reached a hand for her stomach and passed out, dropping to the ground, blood soaking through her clothes. The harpy screeched delightfully as it began to mulitate the skeleton. (Camila: 4) Alec caught a glimpse of Ace and ran over beating away the harpies and checking on him. Sienna beheaded the harpy with a quick swing, ducked and rolled to avoid a swooping harpy and burned it alive with the light. (Sienna:11) Francesca was suddenly beseeched with two harpies who lifted her up by the arms she slit one’s throat with the dagger, and the other one too weak to carry her flew off. Connor blew a large flame towards a swarm of harpies, but the wind grew blewing it back and back and back until it was upon himself. He didn’t burn, but the fire began to die, and that’s when he noticed why. The air circulation around him stopped. He clutched his throat but he began to turn blew as Harpies scratched and pecked at him . Anahita slept peacefully. (Anahita:19) Angelo was carried by Frankie to the infirmarary without interruption. (Angelo: 20) Jaxon remained fine while attending to Eden. (JAXON: 20 + HEALER) Zagan was pushed into the nearest tree with a gust of wind before he could think, he groaned as he heard a snap in his ribs. (Zagan: broken rip & 5) Atlas remained fighting with a prowess the harpies couldn’t match. (Atlas: 11) Elliot was ignored by the harpies, and he glimpsed Mave on the side and moved to her side to assist her.(ELLIOT: HEALER) Lukas was running to the Big House when he was knocked off his feet by a gust of wind and blinded by a large light growing bit by bit he put his hands up to guard his face and was quickly picked up by harpies, them scratching and biting him, picking off pieces of his skin. he screamed and attempted to struggle when he heard a pop in his arm. (his arm popped out of his socket) he howled louder and was flown over the roof and dropped. He groaned as he rolled of the roof and plummeted to the blood soaked ground. Ariadne summoned the elements, casting spells as she set harpies on fire and and sent magic arrows skewing them through. She tripped over a rock onto a waiting harpy who was more than happy to push her through the sky causing her to land on her arm hearing a crack. (Broken left arm Ariadne: 8)

It felt like forever as the grass became slick with blood and feathers as young adults and teenagers, shot and fought with all they had to defend the last home they had. Screams echoed throughout the field, mixed with the sound of metal upon claws and flesh and blood. Harmony picked up the arrows of the ground and summoned her bow by tossing up her hair clip, landing in her hands as a silver, ornate bow with carvings of the constellations. She began to shoot the harpies as they entered the barrier and glimpsed a net, she turned to a random camper, a witch who had no issue expanding it large enough to cover the barrier. She tied arrows on all four sides of it. “Reina!” She hollered loudly and threw an arrow at her, tied to a part of the net. Reina looked confused for a moment but it dawned on her and she knocked her arrow. She turned to Avita who had gotten the message and had already an arrow knocked and aimed on the outside of the barrier through the gaping hole. She tossed the arrow to another hunter, blue-haired girl named Rowan who was running by and they all spread out, each covering a section of the barrier. Reina held up 5 fingers before folding the first and beginning the countdown. The moment the final finger was down the girls released the arrows with a furious passion as it swirled through the air as the harpies dodged out of the way of the arrows or got tangled in the net. They shrilled as the tip of the silver arrows met the dirt, embedding itself into the ground. A sheen of light bounced off the silver arrows as the silver began to crawl up the net until it was a net of silver that stood above the campers, blocking in the entrance. The few harpies left inside were electrocuted as a Ajax released a light of bolting that was conducted by the metal which found and struck the harpies leaving them in a smoking heap. Healers ran around picking up the wounded, carrying them onto stretchers or by themselves and rolling them into the infirmary. “Everyone who’s well,” shouted Reina. “Head into the mess hall.” In the mess hall, campers ran in as a select few went through the cabins looking for those who were injured.

In the mess hall, instead of a gloomy site of chairs, the campers were shocked to see a row of tables lined against the wall, filled with food and drinks. All types of foods and deserts and candles were lit up all against the wall including the fireplace which was alive and burning. Many campers collapsed on a random bench, a plate of food in their hands, it was a gift from the gods.

Girl’s piercing eyes were making Laron uncomfortable but he couldn’t let her know that. Instead of breaking eye contact, he stubbornly held her stare and watched her mutter something under her breath.
However, her stare soon turned blank, as if she was deep in thought. Laron decided to take the chance and quickly swung his legs off the bed but put them right back when she spoke up again.
“I don’t think that would be a good idea!”
Hearing those words, Laron couldn’t help but subtly roll his eyes. Did he ask for her opinion? No.
He had no time to waste, and especially not here, in the camp. He needed to get out of there before the trace disappears.
“Look Blondie, I’m feeling better right now. I hav-”
Suddenly, he stopped in mid-sentence as she gently pushed him back. It caught him off guard but his shock was quickly replaced by anger.
How dare she touch me?!
Grabbing her hands firmly, he pushed her away.
“Touch me again and you’ll regret it, Blondie. Don’t push your luck.” He warned her, moving further away and leaning against a wall.
Laron knew he acted like a lunatic but he had no intention of explaining his behaviour. His image was the last thing he cared about, as long as his secret remained hidden.
Get a grip on yourself you fool… He ordered himself as a smile formed on his lips.
“As I’ve said, I’m feeling much better right now. And I get it… Ginger must have told you to keep an eye on me. Can’t you do it somewhere else, though?” He asked, sighing. “Look, let’s make a deal. You’ll get me out of here, I’ll follow you. Capeesh?”

Francesca let out a sigh of relief, carefully helping the boy get back on his feet. His hands were cold and sweaty, what made her think…
“Wait-”
Instead of letting him go, she grabbed at his shoulder and then smacked him upside the head.
“You are supposed to be in the infirmary with that blonde, stupid. When did you run away? Do you have a death wish with all those Harpies flying ar-”
Suddenly, she was up in the air, screaming, and something was carrying her away.
Those godd-mn Harpies!
Luckily, she remembered the dagger and drew it from her belt, slitting the throat of one Harpy. The Harpy’s grasp weakened and she was free again, falling right back to the ground.

Everything, every sound was agony. The shriek’s from the Harpies, the dust that accumulated on her from the ones she killed were disturbing. She couldn’t understand it, why was the faith of civilisation was put in the hands of growing children? Children who have gone through the trauma they aren’t supposed to even know about but yet they are living it? Her knees gave, the dagger rolling to the side and her trying her best not to succumb to fainting. Every loud shriek reminded her of her days in that place, the Harpies cries reminding her of all the other people she was kept within there. It was all coming back, things she so desperately tried to bury. Just when she thought she was going to be food for these things, someone spoke to her. At first, she thought her powers were going rouge and they were allowing the people that’d been following her around to manifest themselves and talk to her. She was all but ready to scream and tell them to shut the f-ck up but when the voice came again and it sharper than how the other’s spoke she jerked up and nearly collided with the person. She stared at the person’s personality and saw that he was kind but his reaction to her only made her dislike him. “I’m fine thank you very much,” she said sharply as he got up. "Eww. God! I really need to learn how to control myself,* she thought to herself. ‘Excuse me! First of all, in case you hadn’t noticed I didn’t ask you to come get me and second of all if you want to help a person you don’t FREAKIN’ YELL AT THEM, IT’S FIRST AID 101,’ she yelled at him. ‘If you’re done with your f*cking hero complex we should just hide out in the mess hall until this dies down unless you want to go in there and fight?’ she questioned him with one of her eyebrows arched beautifully. Being tired of the stickiness and the putrid smell coming from her, she summoned a little amount of water to cleanse her and the wind would take care of drying her.

@fal.renet1398 - Jaxson I’m sorry but this is how her personality is. If you are rude she’ll be rude right back. Iwas also hoping you write what they did during the battle and how they end up in the mess hall because I didn’t want to god mod

~ Quest Chapter 3 ~

Quintella rolled up the map and stuck it back in Bryan’s backpack. “'Aight bet, we’re heading to the hotel, it’s getting cold out here and I need to take care of my medication.” Quintella said, as they began their trek to the hotel. It didn’t take too long, although they were a bit tired for running a few miles through the forest. They reached the entrance of the hotel they saw the title as “Lander Hotel.”

“Ahh, now it makes sense,” Bryan said as they walked into the pristine white lobby.

“What do you mean?” Arden asked, not particularly happy about being left out in the dark. Bryan pointed at the title.

“Lander hotels. Kara Lander, from camp? She’s supposedly dead, her father owns all these hotel chains. No wonder the snowflakes were around it. It’s a safe place, we’ll be safe here.”

“And, we’re jinxed by that simple sentence,” Quintella yawned as she stretched her arms above her head and they walked towards the counter with her trio. "

“Reservation?” Asked the hotel operator. Arden and Bryan glanced at each other. “You need a reseervation 3 days in advance in order to stay here. This isn’t your normal hotel.”

“W-we,” Began Bryan.

“We don’t need a reservation,” Quintella swept over the room keys and picked one from across the counter. “We’re taking the penthouse and you’ll let us…” Quintella began and the hotel receptionist nodeed mutely. The trio went up to the room and ended up in the penthouse, the day already over.

Quintella sat on the couch. There was two beds and pullout couch she leaned back on it and sighed. “Okay, so we need to review the quest. What did it say and where are we going.”

“Los Angeles,” Bryan responded. “We can take a plane in the morning.”

“Alright, well, how’re we going to do that?” Arden demanded.

“Schedule a flight, they must have computers somewhere in here. We might have to break in tommorrow to the office.” Quintella responded off-handedly. She began to pull out the couch, “I reccomend we get some sleep, we need to get going quickly.”

Go ahead and write your characters getting ready for sleep and waking up the next morning for breaking into the office. Gives me more insight on your character

Blondie? That was what he decided to go with?
She held back a sigh that would have shown her currently hidden apathy. Cress was, ironically enough, not a fan of nicknames despite dishing them out to others easily. She only tolerated ‘Cress’ because ‘Cressida’ was a hundred times worse-- her father was off his rocker when he named her.
It somewhat threw her off guard, literally, when Laron grabbed her hands and pushed her back. She allowed herself to flinch and draw inward, the innocent facade taking over as she pouted. Yet it was gone just as quick, a small smile appearing as soon as she noticed his own shift in tone. That, and it practically hurt to pout since she was either constantly smiling or expressionless.
What a moron.
She cheerfully hummed in thought, straightening so that she once again had nearly perfect posture. “You’ll follow me? Well, I think we’re suppose to go to the mess hall… I suppose it is about to get crowded in here… Alright, capeesh, you convinced me! Let’s go~!” Her closed smile was wide enough to form crinkles around her cold eyes. Despite the response she received from when she had gently pushed him, she grabbed his wrist to drag him briefly to ensure that he was moving alongside her. It did not last long, especially since she had no desire to have any prolonged physical contact with him.
Although she knew that the harpies had been an issue, she was, admittedly, shocked to see so much damage and blood. It was impossible to stop the shiver that made it’s way up her body as she stared out. “It was that bad, huh?” Her tone had not changed but the volume at which she spoke lowered immensely, only barely audible. Cress turned her head to look at Laron to see his reaction, assuming he was still there since he said that he would stick with her.

Arden Mae Marino
Quest

Do not misunderstand, Arden was not a stuck up girl followed the rules to a ‘T’. She was just… well, pretty much wary of anything that the other two decided to do. Yet Los Angeles was far away and it would take them way too long to get there if they did not fly. Plus, she was certain that their stamina would greatly affect how long it took them to get to there if they traveled mostly on foot. So in the end, she decided that she would put at least some of her trust in the two of them-- at the very least in Quintella’s charmspeak.
“Yeah, yeah. Breaking into an office, scheduling a flight, yadda yadda. All that fun stuff. Well, if you don’t mind, I’m going to shower before I sleep. I mean, I’m going to do so either way, so…” She trailed off, shrugging as she took long, delayed steps to the bathroom while speaking. Her eyes drifted from Quintella who had spoken last to Bryan, as if gauging whether or not either of them would object as she made her way inside. It would not hurt to take advantage of the nice bathroom while they had the chance, after all. For once, she had managed to gain some of her old pep in her step once she entered the bathroom, immediately examining every inch. She could not shake the slight paranoia nor the need to feel alert for any given moment. Despite wanting to take her time and enjoy it all, she could not help but be quick. Taking her time and enjoying a shower meant thirty minutes max.
Arden was perfectly fine with whatever sleeping arrangements, positive that it would beat Hotel Valhalla and Camp Half-Blood either way. When she eventually managed to fall asleep, it was light but somewhat pleasant.
The next morning, she was up rather early, taking another shower to wake herself up. This one was quick. The previous night had been spent getting to a point where she felt clean enough to sleep. This one left her feeling squeaky and pristine. For the first time in awhile, she was actually a bit pleasant to be around as she got ready.
There was even a small smile on her face, different from the usual scowl or prideful expression-- even if it did not last long, it was there. Once everyone was finishing up, she called out, “Alright, is everyone ready? Y’know… for whatever we’re about to do…?” The details were a bit fuzzy since she had not really cared enough the night before to listen and had been irritated. Something told her, though, that she would end up taking on the ‘bodyguard’ role if needed.

Akio Moore
Alone || Mess Hall

This day had just continued to get worse and worse.
His head was a mess, a whirlwind of thoughts circling around as he rubbed his forehead. Everything had been a blur and he could not immediately recall the details of everything that had just happened. The fight with the harpies had felt as though it had dragged on for an eternity while simultaneously feeling like it was all over in an instant. Not that it mattered, anyway. He could not help but wonder who he would find in the mess hall as he made his way inside-- a bunch of people had been injured and taken to the infirmary. Akio felt like he would drown in his worry, feeling awful that he could not have somehow prevented this terrible fight despite it not being his responsibility.
Upon actually getting in the mess hall and seeing the large amount of food and drinks, his eyes widened and his mouth parted a little. Naturally, he waited until there was an opening to get food. He did not take too much, aware that a lot of people would want a lot of food. Although he doubted that they would run out so easily, he figured it would be better to be safe rather than sorry. So he ended up with a plate of food filled with a reasonable amount as he turned, looking for a familiar face to be near.

@katabasis || hope this is alright-- I assumed that he had light injuries and wasn’t too involved since I didn’t post for him (:

Kaylen woke up and winced, the pain in her face demanding her immediate attention. She found that she could barely open her eyes and opted to keep them closed. Remembering the feeling of the harpie’s claws, gingerly reached up and felt the scratch on her face. Okay, that’s probably, definitely going to leave a scar. She commented to herself, the sounds of the fight resonating in the back of her mind. She didn’t remember how she got to the infirmary, just why she was here. Her thoughts gravited to her stomach, the pain from wound increasing as it demanding her attention. She tilted her head up to the ceiling, taking a deep breath as she tried to think of other things to distract herself.

While they were able to wash the blood off of their skin and change their clothes, they weren’t able to rid themselves of their memories of the battle. The images didn’t disturb them in the traditional sense of the word, but were enough to make them uneasy. They lifted a cookie they’d taken from one of the tables against the wall and took a small bite out of it, forcing themself to swallow it. Come on Alyx. You have to eat. They scolded themself, taking a bigger bite out of the cookie. They’d chosen shortbread cookies which reminded them of home and provided a source of comfort to them. “What the hell were those things.” They muttered to themself.

Ariel crawled out from underneath her bed, brushing the dust off of her bunny. She hadn’t heard anything for a while and assumed that meant it was safe to go out. She put her bunny on her bed and pulled the blanket over top of it, then walked to the door of the cabin. She put her hand on the door handle and turned it slowly, sticking her head out to see if the monsters were gone. When she didn’t see any, she stepped out, closing the door behind her. She overheard other campers talking about the mess hall and followed them there. She walked in and gasped in pleasant surprise when she saw the tables of food along the walls. She took a plate and filled it with food, choosing a bench near the fireplace to sit and eat.

Harmony held open the doors for the campers until someone else took her place and she followed the rush inside and saw the reason for the gasps and excitement. Food, warmth, the entire mess hall was full of it. She took a deep breath, taking in the sweet scent of the delicous food and picked up a cup. Her eyes glowed a faint purple before fading and in her cup was a purple drink of champagne she tipped her head back and downed the entire cup. Her cup refilled rather quickly and she brought it with her to a random seat on the bench along with a plate of food. She saw, across from her a pretty, blonde girl. Harmony smiled at her brightly, “Harmony Clare. And you? Crazy day we have here.”

She gingerly touched around the wound, blood trickled downwards but most of it was being held back by the cause. “Kaylen. Kaylen, you’re going to be alright, okay? Just keep taking deep breaths.” She touched the sword and winced, she didn’t like blood but she was going to have to deal with it, especially since Kaylen was in deep danger. “Okay, on a scale of 1-10 how much pain are you feeling right now?” Ariadne asked as she attempted to see if the sword had cut any vital organs using magic.

No, right know Katherine felt rather sick at the sigh of her fallen comarades but only clenched her teeth and snapped on a pair of purple latex gloves. At least they still have the purple gloves. Katherine thought to her, in the midst of all this fatality she was wearing her favorite color gloves. She turned around to face the incoming wave of the injured, after tying up her long curls. She nearly bumped into a ginger, a male who was signficantly taller than her. She stumbled backwards slightly, being a smaller build, but she didn’t give any ill. Everyone’s scattered, although she was slightly embarrased. “Do you need anything, can I help you?” Katherine asked as she surveyed the person in front of her who looked as if they just came back from the fight which happened outside.

Karan had frozen the life out of the few harpies that had came too close to her, it wasn’t long after Ajax and her started walking that the entire event happened and she had lost track of him somewhere, not that is particularly mattered to her. She eventually ended up throwing open the doors of the infirmary, being a rather sick person on the average it was no stranger to be here and she was quite used to helping around. She easily, cleanly slipped on some blue gloves paired with a mask, tucking the strings behind her ears before tying up her long hair, brushing any stray pieces of hair out of her face. Even though she caught a few eyes, probably from the prophecy spectacle it didn’t take long for her to find an injured person. She tended to them for a bit before an Apollo kid walked in and took over she stepped away and turned around to see Ajax a few steps away from her. “This is insane, do you have an idea what’s going on,” she asked him quietly, ignoring the pleasantries and hello’s normal people mayhave bothered with.

He gave a dismissive wave at the curse, “C’mon, no frowning, it creates wrinkles and mars whatever beauty you may have left.” Marcus responded smoothly, although slightly rude. “Alright, you may a bit useful,” Marcus relented. “But I’d pick a sword over you any day of the week.” Marcus was so used to teasing and making fun of Arden the responses came so naturally, despite how brutal they seemed one should always take it with a grain of salt. Because, Marcus seriously didn’t mean half of the s-it he said on a daily basis.
“Of course I do, which is why I said it,” Marcus replied confidently, he wasn’t an amazing fighter but he had intelligence. And it was as they always said, brains over brawn. He was sure the spar idea however, would enable her to beat him up for all the things he’s said in the past time since coming and bothering her deeply. “A beating, from you.” He snorted before responding, “I’m more scared of that butterfly over there than you, darling.”

He also hoped that the girls wouldn’t fight over the beds. They confuse him. They seem to not like each other yet they can be very nice to each other. Bryan stripped off his coat and shoes before he pulled out the bed. Bryan saw a blanket sat on the coffee table near the pullout couch. Arden walked off to the bathroom room, he guessed. Haeven Belleau

As the Harpies attacked the camp’s border, Haeven stood at the doorway of her cabin, watching all the campers go mad. Although she couldn’t see too well far away, it was still quite amusing to her. But one thing was for sure, she definitely wasn’t joining that overcrowded madness. Maybe if there weren’t so many campers fighting, she’d help. Maybe. Nope. Not today, Haeven thought to herself as she crossed her arms, shaking her head slightly. With that, Haeven stood there, continuing to watch what was going on. She’d chuckle here and there, only thinking of how situations like this will just worsen over time. After Haeven got bored of watching the campers battle it out, she decided to flop on her bed and take a nap, solely to pass time.

Once Haeven woke up, she could immediately tell that the chaos had ended. Not everything had ended completely, but it was enough for her to at least go outside. After contemplating whether she should actually go outside or not, she made the decision to do so. Haeven started to make her way over to the mess hall, since she overheard other campers speaking about food that was supposedly there. Not to mention, she was pretty hungry, due to the fact that she hadn’t eaten much, all because of the invasion of the other campers. Just before she entered the mess hall, she encountered a red-headed boy standing outside. She had a slight memory of him from last year, but she knew she has never spoken to him before. Just by looking at him, Haeven could easily tell that he was involved with the current Harpy situation.

Haeven smirked at him, “Well look at you. Seems like the Harpies got to you a little bit.”

Zaire Signon

Zaire watched as the campers battled fiercely against the Harpies. He was standing by what was called the “mess hall”, and was surrounded by other campers who were also observing. Thinking for a moment, he realized something and started to chuckle quietly. Then, he spoke as if he was having a direct conversation with someone. “Well Dad, I guess this camp isn’t as luxurious as you thought it was…hm?” Pretending to have a direct conversation with his father is something Zaire has started to do, since all methods of communication with the outer world were destroyed. He felt eyes on him after he spoke, but he could have cared less.

As soon as the Harpies were defeated, one of the campers ordered for all of those who were well to enter the mess hall. The thing was, where was the fun in that? Instead of entering, Zaire walked over to where all those who were helping the wounded were running around frantically, trying to help as much as they could. He immediately spotted someone looking in his direction, and of course, he took the opportunity. What’s wrong with providing some comedic relief? Nothing. Zaire bent over and held his stomach, yelling in somewhat of a frantic tone, “Help! Help! Over here!” This has got to work. He stayed in position, waiting for her to approach him.

Nika was out on the fields picking the strawberry crops, placing them into a basket one by one. Unlike some of the other campers, Nika was taking the food shortage situation quite seriously, and made the decision to help, rather than just sit back. Not only did she feel that it was a serious matter, but she also felt as if it was partially her and the others faults for just invading what used to be the Greek’s camp. The least she could do was help. Nika walked over to the pile of strawberries and poured out all the ones she picked into the pile. Just as she was about to walk back to the crops, she heard a loud noise. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Like the other campers on the field at the time, Nika immediately shifted her attention towards the border. Seeing what was attempting to come in, Nika froze. Immediately, campers came from all directions, running straight towards the border, ready to fight. What?! Just as Nika was about to run the other way, she felt something attach to her arm. Realizing what it was, she began to slap it like it was a mosquito, but that wasn’t working. Come on, think! Due to her taking too much time to think, she started to get lifted by the harpy. Remembering what she had, she pulled out an arrow from her archery session earlier today, and pierced it. Immediately Nika flopped onto the ground, and ran towards the mess hall, not wanting to participate in all the violence that was occuring. I hate this, I hate this, I hate this.

Once everything stopped, Nika entered the mess hall and grabbed an apple to munch on for the meantime. She walked over to an empty bench, sat there, and waited for any sort of update.

Kaylen opened her eyes as wide as she could and looked over at Ariadne, whose voice caused her thoughts to drift away from the pain coming from her face and stomach. Listening to her instructions, she breathed in and out, wincing as Aria touched the sword. “I’d say about a seven or eight. I know it’s there, but it’s not the worst pain I’ve ever experienced.” She answered with a small shrug. “Is it bad?” She asked, unable to see the full extent of the wound. She only knew that there was blood and sword, but she wanted to know if it was something she should be worried about.

Azalea woke up feeling slightly better than she was before. She went into the bathroom and got herself ready for whatever was left of it. She put on her favourite Dashiki styled jumpsuit and matched it with a silver pair of sandals. She tied her hair into a loose, messy bun, slung her fanny pack across her chest and exited her cabin. She was gobsmacked by the sight she saw. The crops were burnt, the barrier wasn’t secure, there was blood, too much blood, they were a lot of people in the infirmary, a lot of injured people on the ground still needing medical assistance. She wanted to help but her health was more important and she couldn’t ignore the rumbling in her stomach anymore. She made her way as quickly as she could to the mess hall. Upon arriving, the mess hall seemed to be the only place that was not struck with whatever type of violence occurred outside. She walked over to where some apples were set to be eaten and she took one, sinking her teeth into it immediately. The hall wasn’t filled with people yet but they were a few numbers of people who were already seated and one of them caught her attention. She strode proudly over to her and sat that beside her. “My name is Azalea Moon,” she said politely. “I’m sorry to just burst in on you like this but what happened out there?” Azaleas asked, before turning her attention back to devouring her apple.

Ace flung open the door, escaping to who knows where. I looked around to the barrier being mobbed, harpies flying up above, and campers running out of their cabins and the arena to help. I found a sword and quickly swung at any approaching harpies. A few scratched my hands and a little bit of my face but for the most part, I was alright- and let’s make it clear I was saving my self. I don’t give a damn about this camp! -

I looked over to arrows being fired miraculously towards the harpies. An electrified net protected the camp from the harpies. I didn’t know who the girls were, but I was grateful. One of them who appeared to be the leader ordered the others to attend to the Mess Hall. Me along with others assumed it would be an announcement as to the recent events, or directions as to how we were to help the injured but I was far from right.

We entered the Mess Hall to platters of desert, ribs, sandwiches, pizza, drinks and anything you can think of. I was very hungry and excited at the sight of such delicious food, but my anger overcame my feeling of hunger. I sighed and rolled my eyes, stomping out of the Mess Hall nobody dared to stand in my way!

I perched in front of the Mess Hall taking deep breaths- that’s what my mom always advised me to do when I got angry - but they weren’t helping. I put my hands over my face evaluating what situation we all just faced. We were just ambushed, a few monsters are still standing at the barrier to this minute- and they have the audacity to feed us instead of taking action and setting up defense mechanisms! I gazed at my wounds on my hands and arms as I heard a feminine voice. I looked up to someone familiar. I had seen her around camp but never cared to approach.

“Oh, yeah…” I said holding up my hand slightly and dropping it. “There’s food in the Mess Hall if you’re hungry?” I said.

“Unbelievable!” Scott cursed as the door of Zelus cabin shut behind him. The sudden movement made him wince in pain again, reminding him why he had come there in the first place. All he wanted was one or two squares of ambrosia, a bandage and some alcohol to disinfect the wound on his arm. Was it too much to ask?
Imagine his surprise when, instead of finding a first-aid kit under his bed, he found a note saying simple ‘Thank you’.
“Those punks…” Finally admitting defeat, he stopped pacing and ran fingers through his messy hair. “Looks like A’ll have to stop by the infirmary anyway.”
In all honesty, Scott despised that place and that was also the main reason why he kept a first-aid of his own. Well, until someone stole it.
Lost in his thoughts, he only then realized the infirmary was suddenly standing right in front of him.
“Let’s get 'is over with.” He mumbled, almost inaudibly, before walking inside. The sight in front of him was definitely not what he was expecting. It looked as if the whole camp was packed in there.
Scott suddenly hesitated but before he was able to cowardly rush out the door, his body already moved to save a falling girl. His hand grabbed her shoulder and let go only after he saw she had regained her balance.
“Hey! Are ye alright?”
The mask was hiding her face well but Scott was positive he had never seen her before. When she asked him whether he needed anything, it took him a while to remember what he had come for.
“A-Aye. If ye have some spare bandages and alcohol. Ambrosia too.”

She actually bought it. Laron thought, trying to hold back his smirk. The fact that she immediately agreed to it, ignoring his threat and grabbing his hand to get him out of there quicker definitely meant one thing. She wanted to get rid of him just as much as he wanted to get rid of her.
“You ain’t Greek, are you Blondie? I would have remembered a nuisance like you.”
As she was leading him out of the infirmary, they almost bumped into few demigods who were rushing in. Most of them were wounded and covered in scratches. A shiver ran down his spine as they passed by, suddenly recalling the memories of the night he wanted to forget so bad. The night that only brought him pain, leaving him with scars on both his body and soul.
Stop with the negative thoughts. It’s in the past.
Laron ordered himself, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves but noticed something odd instead. The air… The air wasn’t supposed to smell like that. It smelled heavy, like smoke and iron.
He heard his blonde companion mutter something under her breath but he stayed silent. Completely hypnotized, his hand picked up a single feather from the ground. His worst nightmare was coming to life again.
“Those demigods… It was Harpies’ doing, wasn’t it?”

She raised her eyebrows as if to say, “Really? You’re joking, right?”
Of course the idea of anyone pining after her was foreign in her mind. Her nose crinkled. “I figured that that would be at least a bit obvious to you. With how much you dislike me, I would think that the idea of anyone pining over me would seem just as ridiculous to you,” she answered with a quiet and short-lived laugh. The topic changed though, thankfully, and it was easy enough for her to leave it behind.
“…and mars whatever beauty you may have left.”
If he had not moved swiftly on to the subject of them sparring, she would have defended herself. Sure, she was not drop dead gorgeous like half of the campers here (because, let’s be real, they are) but she surely thought that she was at least a bit above average. Just a smidge. Perhaps she would put more effort into her appearance one day just so he could eat his words… For now, though, she refrained from saying something despite feeling as if she were about to boil over. After all, the thought that she could get some decent payback in their fight calmed her down somewhat.
With a raised brow and an ever-growing smirk, she said, “Yes, a beating from me. I’m pretty confident that you’ll come to regret asking me to spar with you. There’s no point in debating, though, when we can easily go now.” Arden was eager to prove herself, casually beginning to walk away from him backwards so that he was forced to see her face. It may seem odd that someone could be so excited over a fight, practice or not, but she couldn’t help it. Participating in physical activities made her happy. Even something as simple as going for a run or ping-pong energized her.

On the way out, she had not expected him to question her any more. She had waited too longer to answer, however, as it did not take long to reach the outside. The metallic smell burned her nose hair as she reflexively moved her hand to her nose. It was a horrific sight to see so much blood in one area at a time so she turned her eyes to him as he picked up a single feather from the ground.
“I would assume so-- that’s one of the main reasons I didn’t want you to leave so soon… I can’t fight, so I wouldn’t be able to save you if you had left while they were still roaming!”
His blank expression reminded her of her own and it kind of… worried her? Was that right? For the first time in a long time, there was a brief frown on her face as she tried to think of a way to sort of reel him back in. After a moment or so of silence, she suddenly said,“So, uh, just a few minutes ago, you asked if I was Greek. Well, I can proudly tell you that I am not Greek, but Egyptian! And that my name isn’t ‘Blondie’ and that I’m not nuisance-- my name is Cress!” She had somehow managed to regain a cheerful tone, a small smile on her face by the time she finished talking just in case he looked at her again. Perhaps the years of practice had helped her more than she initially realized. “Alright, that was refreshing. Ready to go now, Laron?”

As I searched around the tree an arrow impaled itself into the soft pillowy ground. I glanced up slowly as glittering silver arrows littered the sky and fields impaling several harpies. I ducked, covering my head. I ran down the hill and looked up towards the sky once again as arrows continued to fly down from Olympus above. But lucky, I stayed untouched.

Everything died down and the situation was solved by Hunters of Artemis, a Hunter of Diana, and Ajax. We all were instructed to head to the Mess Hall for what I assumed a meeting discussing what just happened but we entered the Mess Hall to platters of food and drinks. I gasped at the mouth-watering ribs, and glanced at everyone else as they stood in awe as well. I wasted no time and grabbed a plate adding on anything I wanted.

Everyone began grabbing plates, food, and utensils and sitting down. People began whispering as the rumors traveled through tables. I saw a girl sitting by herself so I walked over to her and looked at the sit across from her. “Can I sit?” I smiled.

:dna: Audrey Williams :dna:

A harpy swooped down towards me. It was so close that a katana would just throw me off balance or do little to none damage. My fist past through the harpy as a crack imitated from it. The harpy fell to the ground. I groaned slightly looking at my bruised knuckles, but wasted no time on it as I grabbed my katanas and continued swinging at near by harpies.

After heading to the infirmary and wrapping my knuckle I headed to the Mess Hall as we were instructed. I figured we were going to have a discussion but I walked in to platters of food and chattering children. I sighed, shaking my head slightly disappointed in Ajax. We should be setting up defense mechanisms and discussing which card would do us justice, but I couldn’t complain as its been a long and day with a lack of food on some ends.

I grabbed a plate along with a slice of cake and fork staring at the happy campers as the gossip began spreading throughout the Mess Hall. My eyes fixated on a kid who looked near to passing out. I squinted and walked over towards him. “Is your head spinning?” I asked as I took a stance in front of him. “Looks as if.” I examined his face and his manner. He looked confused and worried. “Maybe you should sit down and drink some water.”

 Colton-Elliot Novack

As I searched I heard a harpy screech that began aiming for me. I frantically looked around, locating a cross bow. I grabbed it and lined it up at the harpy which was very close. I held my breath closed my eyes and fired. I heard a groaned screech and a thud as I slowly opened my eyes to a harpy laying on the ground before me, an arrow square in its heart. I laughed with amazement. “Huzzah!” I yelled as I heard a screech above. I screamed running as I found a place to duck for cover.

As everything settled down I took deep breaths to calm my nerves, as I whipped my sweaty palms against my pants. People began their way to the Mess Hall as I walked slowly keeping my head low. I was still shocked and amazed at my aim but was more worried on if it was safe for me to stay here. I saw a girl who looked lonely, all by herself slowly making her way to the Mess Hall but staying behind everyone else I walked over to her cautiously to not startle her.
“Um, hi. Ar- are you alright?”

It had come as a surprise to Akio when someone approached him, worried that his head was ‘spinning’. He shook his head lightly, looking the girl over quickly. He did not recognize her, so he had a feeling that she must not be Roman. And with how comfortable she seemed in the area, he was willing to bet that she must be one of the Greek demigods.
His tone was a bit insistent as he said, “Ah, no, no… I am fine. I just can not find anyone I know to sit with.” It was a bit embarrassing to admit that he knew so few people that no one really caught his eye as he stood there. He was the type of person that would feel odd sitting by himself in a room full of people. Akio’s eyes began to drift around the room-- he did feel a little lightheaded, but he saw no use in admitting that as well. He close his eyes briefly, trying to block the feeling. Of course, that did not work, so he quietly said, “Maybe sitting down would not hurt though… Could I join you?”
His eyes were on the girl again, his gaze steady enough. After all, Akio did not easily succumb to any sort of illness, injury, or pain. Plus, her vivid, purple hair aided in keeping his attention and provided something for him to visually lock onto.
