I hate discrimanation of any kind. Black people in China and Asians in the United States shouldn’t be getting blamed.

I’m not assuming, they have lots of evidence of animal cruelty and discrimination, clearly. It’s not assuming if you can pull of evidence and show facts. I was talking about China, not the whole continent of Asia.

They are also getting banned from restaurants as well? Because that’s not similar.

So you are assuming things about an entire country? There are bad people and good people in every country/ethnicity/race/religion.

Disappointed but not surprised. Antiblackness has existed for centuries, if you didn’t already know then it’s time to hit the books. “POC solidarity” is meaningless when antiblackness still exists within other communities of colour.

I’m talking about the things China does, I’m not gonna talk about every single one of their people. And I know there are bad people and good people in every race, you totally got track off of what I said.

This whole things pisses me off to the fullest. Now I know not all chinese people are racist so this is not about them.
When the virus first started becoming a big thing and people were saying racist things about asians (because racist people just grouped everyone together), The number of black people I saw defending them and being kind to them and making sure other black people were not also being racist to them was amazing. Although not all black people did, the majority that I saw did.
Now that this is happening what have I seen? Nothing.
I am so sick of this. We are so quick to defend and be welcoming but the moment situations change, we are once again seen as lower and treated like sh*t. I hate this it really makes me angry.

Ebola Vs Corona
Travel Ban:
When Ebola was first brought to light there was a travel ban IMMEDIATELY even if you were American you were not allowed back into America if you were in Africa. The Ebola outbreak from 2014-2016 was in the WESTERN region in Africa, but the United States put a travel ban on the continent as a whole- it didn’t matter what country you were in.
When Corona was first brought to light there was no travel ban until it was too late, it would’ve been put in place but many people including China as in the government calling out the government because it seemed xenophobic or racist even though it wasn’t just Chinese people coming from China, it was Americans, Europeans, and etc, even though it wasn’t “racist” or “xenophobic” when the US put a travel ban on the whole continent of Africa.
It’s not that I disagree with the travel ban on Africa because the Ebola virus was very dangerous, but I’m just saying keep that same energy when it comes to China 
.
The Name:
Some people call the Corona virus the “Wuhan virus” or the “Chinese virus” such as Donald Trump. When people call it that they get so much backlash, they get called racist or xenophobic. People often say, “You shouldn’t be calling it that because it has a scientific name.” But where’s the scientific name for the Ebola virus? Exactly, there isn’t one. The Ebola virus is named right after the Ebola river in the Republic of Congo, yet people aren’t upset about Ebola’s name and continues to call it Ebola.
The Discrimination:
In America or anywhere else people have been called out for being racist towards Asians, which they should be called out- discriminating against people because of their race or color or anything is never excusable. Many have gone out their way and made Asians feel welcome, help them, and call out people that pick on them. Which is good and very generous but where was all this energy when Africans had to go through discrimination during Ebola? We even have a hotline for Asian-Americans when they go through racism. That’s nice but where’s the hotline for Africans Americans? Latinos? Muslims? America didn’t even start the travel ban until it was way too late, but in China there’s a law where it says “no foreigners allowed”?
Let’s be honest they’re not talking about foreigners they’re talking about anybody that aren’t or don’t look Chinese. Some of those “foreigners” have lived there and set their whole life up in China. Everybody that is not Chinese has it bad but the Africans have it the absolute worst. Why is there a law like that yet China called us out for being “xenophobic” meanwhile in China, Africans & other foreigners are being kicked out of their homes, people don’t sit by them on the transpo, they aren’t allowed anywhere, & etc. I just found out that Africans there are being FORCED to take “corona virus” tests no matter what. The discrimination in China isn’t anything new, I remember when China was trying to make it to where black people, white people, and etc could have I think either be an official citizen of China (something like that). There were so many Chinese chat rooms that were outraged about that idea and being all types of racist.
It’s always black folks getting it the worst but I’ve seen countless black people stand up for other races, but barely anyone wants to stand up for us.
I don’t support racism of any kind, I don’t care if Corona came from China- that’s not an excuse to pick on Asians. There is never an excuse to discriminate against ANYONE.

This adds on to my disgust. This has happened so many times to many African-Americans because everyone knew the government wouldn’t do a damn thing.
Like they had 7 black army men tested on without them knowing to find a cure for syphilus
Or the HeLA cells where they took an African-American’s woman’s cells without her knowing in order to make a cure and money, she ended up never making a dime off of it or knowing. Those became invaluable to the medical field, made them a bunch of money cure and she has very little mention.
Point is, racisim is bad. And it’s awful that people are being discrimnated, but not unexpected. China has such a horrid issue with racisim and it’s really awful.
