I like it when my choices matter, but if a story is good, I’ll still read it regardless if it has choices or not.
If there are going to be choices in the story, it’s better to have choices that matter instead of choices where both of them have the same outcome.
Outfit choices, yes, customization, yes but I’m fine with stories that don’t have it.
But if we’re going to have more than one love interest, please give me the choice to reject the one I’m not into instead of having the MC cheat (I hate this so much) with the LI I’m NOT interested in! I also like choices that give us character points based on the way we react to certain situations or people.
Yes. I dislike the ones that have the same outcome. Like:
A) Go to the party.
B) Don’t go to the party. (But somehow you still end up going because someone blackmails you, or they trick you into thinking you’re going somewhere else)
I don’t care much for type-in choices because I feel that they have no impact at all. Like, “What’s your favorite food?” User types it in and it’s only mentioned in the next scene.
Limited customization.
I prefer to see author’s vision of the character. I only change features mostly, not colors. Just more interesting for me to play, and all characters from all stories that I read don’t bland in.
I like stories with choices that matter as it’s “episode choose your story” you’re meant to choose what happens but on the other hand choices that matter stress me out coz i always want to pick the right option but i have no idea what it is
Depends. I like how the author makes the effort tho.
Outfit choices and choices that effect the relationships with characters.
That basic choice like
What would you like for breakfast?
•Pancakes
•Toast
I’m like bro i don’t eat breakfast where is the no option.
Customisation. I’m okay with limited customisation. As long as i can change the eye shape, nose shape and lip shape i’m good. Idk why
I don’t think that every choice in a story has to end up in a new branch of the story. However, it would be nice if at least one or two choices in each chapter matter.
I don’t mind not having choices. There are some stories that are well-written, I tend to forgot that they didn’t put choices in it. It’s doesn’t really matter imo. You don’t have to put every single choice in your story, maybe just simple ones, gefause coding can be stressful at times.
I’d rather not have choices than having choices like this:
Scenario:
You’re in a dilemma on whether you follow friend to a party or go on a date with your crush.
Option 1: Follow your friend to the party goes to the party
Option 2: Go out
Best friend: I think going to the party is better.
You: I agree! goes to the party
At the end of the day, you didn’t even make a choice. Choices are good, just don’t add too much.
Also, how important is a choice in an episode story?
