Concepts of Beauty in the Renaissance Era & Art

The concept of beauty is ever-evolving. In the Renaissance, the standard for women was to have a full body, light hair, and light skin. Artists like Raphael and Botticelli painted women with a variety of faces, who all seemed to possess a maternal, yet mysterious quality. It was that quality that they deemed beautiful. What do you think about the concept of beauty in the Renaissance? Have you seen this reflected in any artwork?

I don’t know much about the art of that time but I’ve heard of the beauty standards! Although I think it wasn’t just light hair? We talked about that a lot in school, maybe I’m mixing it up with some other time period now
