Patrin never hesitated for a second and leapt onto the stairs, bounding up them. Kiya and Salazar were quite literally on Patrin’s tail. They pulled limps and shoved each other in order to beat the other up the stairs. Kiya made it first. Luckily, just was Salazar had their foot at the top, the stairs disappeared. They’d made it.
Next were the Silverfronds. They prepared themselves for the stairs’ silent whistle. Stepping onto their mark by leaning on their knee bent in front to stretch out their fingertips to graze the ground while their other leg was extended out behind them. Steady now. GO! The stairs appeared and Lucan was off first, taking large strides, but Thia’s tiny steps were faster and soon overtook Lucan. Thia made it to the top and turned just as the stairs vanished. Lucan scrambled but wasn’t quick enough and the step beneath their feet vanished. Thia’s reflexes were fast and caught Lucan, clasping forearms and swung them up.
Your rolls… Kiya = 12, Patrin = 2, Thia = 18, Salazar = 11, Lucan = 3
As the group are taking a minute to catch their breath, they hear what sounds to be a dinner party, the dings of cutlery on plates as you’re eating. Did they want to find out what it was or continue on through the ancient city?
Would any of the adventurers like to go check out what it is before returning to the path (and possibly the group if only some go) to continue onward? This is going to be some kind of monster/creature to battle. You can each choose separately, with or without discussing it.
