Okay so Friends, Mind Sliver, Chill touch, and Mage Hand for cantrips. Then Mage Armor and Feather Fall.
Uh… I did. But I don’t know just yet. I just didn’t want the RPers (and their real character) to know too much about the history of their game character. I’ll look into it and see.
Uh… what books would I find these two in?
Edit: Scratch that, I’ve got them. (wink) Hermes is finished and I’ll put him in the OP shortly.
Alright, @Bluecookies…
Personality Traits:
I don’t like to get my hands dirty, and I won’t be caught dead in unsuitable accommodations.
No one could doubt by looking at my regal bearing that I am a cut above the unwashed masses.
Ideals:
Independence. I must prove that I can handle myself without the coddling of my family. (Chaotic)
Bonds:
My house’s alliance with another noble family must be sustained at all costs.
Flaws:
By my words and actions, I often bring shame to my family.
@Bluecookies ^^^ these questions!
Nooo, why!
No why what? What’s wrong?
He’s gonna be an a-hole
No, that’s not your real character. This is just for what you know of the backstory of the game character, how he was before your character ‘became him’, I guess.
Am I the only one without that “Advantage” thing?
Ohhhh okay i did not piece that together lol sorry
Yeah im done for slowly finding things out about Hermes. Sounds dope.
I am so sorry foe being a pain, but is there any way i could switch his wisdom and intelligence stats? If not its totally cool.
HAHAHA! Yeah, you are. Though you DO have six proficiencies with one being an expertise. (wink)
Sure thing, that’s not a pain.
Oh yeah. Right
@Cadborosa not me trying to figure out how a gelatinous cube is dextrous and Intimidating-
It forms gelatinous muscles and turns into some ominous colour
Oooooh thank you for thar explanation
But - could i offer this as well:
It is not so much the “omg this thing is horrifying” that makes it intimidating, more so the “wtf is this thing and why can it talk.” Cause i imagine a) a lot of stuff gets stuck inside them and b) its very confusing and everyone just wants to be nowhere them… because that honestly just sounds horrifying. So basically i suppose that… its not words, its not actions, its just their mere existence that makes them incredibly scary and persuasive-
Imagine someone in team introducing themselves like
“We’ve got a half elf, an aasimar, a variant human and. . . . . . This. But don’t underestimate. They can kill you, literally”
Now I’ve got a different idea for my character’s real life self… now comes the struggle of whether to go with the original idea I had, or this new one…
Which one is going to be more fun to play with? … Or maybe toss a coin?
All interesting ideas that i will probably at some point steal if I need the slime to intimidate
Let me offer you two more intimidation possibilities that work- Since it’s a charisma skill, it doesn’t have to do anything with their physical appearance. If they weave their sentence carefully enough, they could just whisper it to someone and make them pee their pants by the threat alone. If you’ve ever seen a villain or some anti-hero do that in media.
The second option, also answers Dexterous and Intimidating at the same time thing. Have you ever seen a bouncy ball flying around a room (Probably should find a way to get an acrobatic proficiency or some spell if I wanna pull this thing off at some point XD) Like when you throw a bouncy ball hard in a small room, it’s pretty intimidating when something fast is flying past your face.
At least that’s my experience XD (I still blame that football for messing up my eye even if its likely not its fault)
Oh! There’s a third option too but that’s not until level 2 and I still should pass it through Cali in case it’ll mess with the campaign or some plan XD
If it works, it works.
At level 6 my character won’t take fall damage anymore.
