D&D - Virtual Reality Video Game - sign-ups/chat

HAHAHA. Exactly. Besides, different choices, skills, and races still make it interesting. (smirk)

HA. Okay. Got it.

Three works, though you don’t have to look similar to real like if you don’t want to.

Sooo… I have 5 subclasses of half-elf…

  • Just Half-Elf
  • Aquatic Half-Elf
  • Drow Half-Elf
  • High Half-Elf
  • Wood Half-Elf

what’s a drop half-elf?

i knowwww but i feel like Mav would just make his character look like him but slightly different
also i forgot to mention that Evangelo Maverick only goes by Mav and there’s like 3 people that know his first name is Evangelo

could he be Wood Eld descended but raised by like humans…?

HAHAHA! Yeah, just one silly letter.

Wicked. Sounds good. So raised by their human parent.

Okay, for the race, as a wood half-elf…

Ability Score

You can either choose now or wait until we roll the scores and stuff.

Language

You can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and one extra language of your choice.

Wood elf descent

A half-elf of wood elf descent can forgo Skill Versatility and instead choose the wood elf’s Elf Weapon Training, Fleet of Foot, or Mask of the Wild.

  • Elf Weapon Training: You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.
  • Fleet of Foot: Your base walking speed increases to 35 feet.
  • Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

I’ll take a Dex increase and a Con increase, please
Languages I’ll take Undercommon.
and then Fleet of Foot from the list.
i am trying so hard to not metagame rn and it is paining me

Alrighty. Cool. Done.
You’re trying not to metagame now? But… but, but we haven’t really started yet?

Now for your class, rogue…

Proficiencies

Expertise

At 1st level, choose two of your skill proficiencies, or one of your skill proficiencies and your proficiency with thieves’ tools. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen proficiencies.

there’s a lot to consider ;-;
like, okay. If I’m going to be a Rogue, it makes more sense to be a wood elf (wisdom + better speed). But if i stay half elf, it would make more sense to be a Sorcerer because of the charisma boost.
slowly losing my mind

HAHAHAHA! Well, if it helps, you know what your character probably know right now. So really, you both have the same knowledge.

Okay, okay. I’ve decided. Could I pretty please change my class to a Sorcerer?
idk i feel like Mav would also like being crazy powerful fireball dude.

Alrighty. No worries at all. (wink)

Do you want to change any of the elf race stuff above?

Nah the race stuff is all good. I want him to be speedy and sorcerers don’t get armor so he needs dex and better con

random question but what level are we going to? just for curiosity sake

Cool. Fair enough.

As for the new class, Sorcerer…

Proficiencies

Pick to skills…

Sorcerous Origin

Choose a sorcerous origin, which describes the source of your innate magical power: Draconic Bloodline, detailed at the end of the class description, or one from another source.

You can choose any if you want, I don’t mind getting another one.

Oh, starting off from level one. Your characters will be inserted into the first level. (wink)

Deception and Persuasion
And then could i do Divine Soul for Sorcerous origin? Its out of Xanatharz Guide

Done. I’ve got it and added. So which Devine Magic would you like?

Also, would you like to choose spells now or at the end?

Oh oops
I got it now I guess

Cool. That’s good.
So there’s Skyler’s example there now. Her Mav is on the slides and he’ll be playing a Half-Elf Sorcerer once he’s in the game. So it’s like his mind and conscience will be inside the D&D character once in the video game.

Well his alignment is gonna be Chaotic Good, so I think Bane would work best.
Also id orefer to wait to the end to do spells. It feels weird doing them before background-

Fair.
Alrighty, we’ll move over to rolling in a sec.
