Did you ever find out your favorite song was written by someone other than the artist?

My current favorite songs were all written by the artist himself, but in the past, I’ve had favorite songs that weren’t. I mean, it’s not really a big deal or anything, but I do feel that the songs take on more of a personal tone when the singer actually writes their own songs. It feels more like they are speaking about their own experience or about something that is important to them.
