I do have a lamp! Although it isn’t very bright I still love it because it can be used as a night light.

My brothers is for reading so it’s too bright
No I think they’re underrated, I don’t always like the big light to be on because it can give me migraines or aggravate the migraine I already have. The dim light of a lamp is enough to keep my eyes happy.

Why do you think that lamps are overrated? 
It has multiple settings
A flashing one (gives me a headache so nooo 
)
One that means it turns itself off after a few hours and then back on again
