Those are two big examples of what backhanded compliments are.
Honestly, those types of “compliments” are pathetic and rude.
I’ve seen the first example pop up in comments of people who are “bigger” and it’s honestly so f*cked up. Like… bruh. I just think people should compliment someone and mean it, not say it whilst saying something sly that will make it seem that you could be saying something worse. Again, it’s rude.
