Discussion: Ebooks or Physical Books?

I have a lot of physical books because I got many from my grandmother and friends of my mum. Also all the books that I’ve had as a kid are physical books because ebooks weren’t that popular back than.

Tolino, but my mum uses Kindle.

Yes, don’t ask why…I have thousands of ebooks…

Ebooks, because I can change the size of the text and I can turn the screen brighter so I can read in my dark room

Depends on the book I’m reading. If it’s just a normal book with text and nothing else than I prefer ebook because it’s easier to read. But if it’s one of those books with photographs or graphs in them, I definitely prefer the physical version.

Yes, partly. It didn’t when I started using ebooks but now it does.

No, never! I’m really careful with my books because it makes me uncomfortable when there’s a crease at the back of the book or anything

No  I know I should do that, especially when reading books in other languages, but I never do.

Eh, a few, I mostly get my books from the library–a lott cheaper that way

I don’t read ebooks. Might have to though because I’m running out of books from the library and the library has been closed since mid-late March.

Definitely physical books. Reading ebooks is hard for me because my attention span is always low when I read things online and sometimes I get a headache from reading too long on an electronic device.

Physical books, by far. The feeling of a literal book in your hand and turning the pages is much better than just a tablet, to me.

Uhh not really. But then again, I get my books from the library so I am saving the planet by reusing the books they have there lol

No no no

I have many books, I’ve mentioned this somewhere but I want to have my own little library! It’s a good thing my mom loves reading too so we both buy books!

I don’t like ebooks. In high school I used to read most of the books that way just because I was a procrastinator and didn’t have time to actually get them… But I would just type in Book title pdf and pray I find it haha

Physical books are so much easier to read. So much! I get lost when I read ebooks and my eyes always hurt. I kind of find them distracting.

PHYSICAL
i like the smell
and ebooks are just not satisfying

Many, many books.

Nook.

Decent size

Probably digital since I don’t have to worry about the lighting.

Physical

No, it doesn’t…

My soul… it is crushed, hurt by the thought of books being written in. If you want to write in a book, get a notebook.

Nope. The most I use is the bookmark function.

Digital can never replace the feeling Of a page urning in your hand or the smell of a nice book.

Yes.

Yeah, I use an old kindle I got a while back.

Not really.

Kindles are easier. They’re backlit and you’re able to adjust settings to enlarge or decrease text size.

Books for leisure, but if I’m reading while traveling I’ll take the kindle instead. Books can get very heavy, so a much better replacement would be the glow up rectangle with books

No, it doesn’t. I typically borrow from a library and multiple people can enjoy a book then return it for more people to enjoy. I’ve never really thought about it this way. :face_with_monocle:

If I own it then I’ll write my name just in case I lose it, but I don’t annotate inside the book itself. If I need to, I’ll use sticky notes.
