Discussion: Silhouette Art

Silhouette art is a style where you draw the outline of an image and fill it in entirely with a consistent colour/gradient/pattern (usually solid black)
I like it mostly because it’s simple in nature, but still requires a large amount of skill, as well as how it can be incorporated into other styles.
Here’s some examples:

@Artists:

  • Have you ever tried this style of art?
  • Would you mind sharing any if you have?
  • What are your favourite artworks of this type?

I love silhouette photography, and I think traditional and digital artists who create their own (non-photography) images are just as (if not more) talented!

Yes! It kinda became my main style.

I shared a few of my things on the Share Your Work thread :smiley_cat:

I don’t really have any favourites. There are just soooo many good ones and different ones!
