Do you have any sculptures in your town?
Sculptures are put in towns to remind people about the heritage and culture of the community. The statue is usually an important figure of the community, it could be the founder of the town or somebody who made a difference in the town.
Do you have Sculptures in your town/city/suburb? Why is it there? what did they do to become important?
Where I live we have about 20 sculptures. Some of these sculptures represent the slave trade era, because our town was the hot spot for slaves. Some of them are of our patriots, the ones who helped in releasing us from the hold of the British, some of them are important people from our history and the rest are works of important traditional artist.
Yup! We um… have a bunch of pigs around… Pig sculptures, that is. It’s pretty weird, but it’s cool.
