Some families have special recipes that get passed down between the generations, either through written recipes or word of mouth. Does your family have any special recipes that get passed down through generations?

My Aunt Birdel’s spice cake.
I don’t know if I spelled her name right.
I think my grandma’s krompirača but I’m not sure
I think spanakopita, because my mom, my aunts, and my grandma all made it.
Love Spanakopita. Oh, I tried goat cheese.
Did you like goat cheese? I still hate it.
In the city where my mom is from, spanakopita is made without cheese, but some other regions make it with either sheep’s milk cheese, cow’s milk cheese, or goat cheese.
Yeah, it was really good! I spread it on Ritz.
We have a special family cake but we don’t really have a written recipe. It’s also only my mum and I who still make that cake.
@Foodies What about you?
Not necessarily family recipes, but a lot of things my mom has her way of cooking them and she’s the one who taught me how to cook them.
My nana’s banana bread recipe is the first that comes to mind
My dad, brothers and I make a loaf at least once a year
