Depends on the animal.
It depends for me. Like my dogs breath really stinks for some reason even though I brush her teeth and give her treats for her breath but it just really stinks 
So on some days I’ll let her lick my face etc because I know that’s how she shows her affection but other days I don’t want her licking me 
noo i hate it but sometimes i let it slide because i know my dogs only do it because they love me
