Do you think authors should use reviewers to increase their reads and popularity?

Here’s my opinion.
Reviews are a great way to get a story noticed and read by more people, especially if it’s a review page that posts the reviews they do on their account.
However, reviewers often give constructive criticism to help authors improve their stories. So if the writer only wants a review for exposure and isn’t willing to make any changes, they are doing it for the wrong reasons.

(Sorry, I rewrote this four times and it still doesn’t make sense.)
