I don’t think so to be honest. In my experience, doctors try to only prescribe as much medicine as needed, but to be fair I haven’t been to a doctor that often yet 
So what’s your opinion?

I think a lot of people pressure doctors to prescribe antibiotics when they’re not necessary or prescribe pain medicine excessively, but I don’t think those are really the fault of the doctors

No they don’t because they know how much you need and what’s right for you
that doesn’t mean that they always do
if they don’t know, then they won’t prescribe it. They will give you what they think is right for you and they will tell you to go to an actual doctor
People doctor hopping for opiates…
That’s not always the case that they know. My doctor thinks he knows what’s right for me and my skin condition but all the prescriptions never work for me
