Grammarly.com explains an oxymoron as “a figure of speech that combines contradictory words with opposing meanings , like “old news,” “deafening silence,” or “organized chaos.” Oxymorons may seem illogical at first, but in context they usually make sense”
Do you use oxymorons in your writing? When and why? Are there certain characters maybe in your books that are obsessed with them? Gimme some stories!

Honestly, I’m not sure if I use them or not. Heck, I forgot that oxymoron was even a word.

Probably unconsciously most of the time!
I may have consciously used them in my stranger stories, but I probably never had the thought of, “oh, I’m using an oxymoron!”.

Not on purpose, but maybe sometimes because it just seems right (like “deafening silence”)
