I think mine does, because I have a melancholic temperament and I like Post Malone.
I’ve always preferred usernames that are a combination of what I like and who I am.

My username definitely reflects my personality (I love cats and unicorns) but I also think that to some extent, everyone’s username represents their personality in some way because when it comes down to it, you’re the one who came up with it
I agree, im pretty sure every username has some ralstion to a persons personality. It might not be like down to the letter XD but it has aspects in there. At least in my opinion and i know that was something i thought about when i chose mine

Also, to answer the question, I think it does a lot nowadays.
This username I have here is one of my gamertags too. I one time was looking for words to describe the way I am and “phlegmatic” described me so well that I was like dang, since it’s me and it sounds cool, let’s make it a username… and well, here we are.
I doubt people haven’t had the same experience.
