Don’t Look Back

A few select upperclassmen (Juniors and Seniors) of The Hallowed Hills Public Education System were chosen for a three month long study trip.

At one point during the trip, there was an accident. Bringing death to some, badly injuring others, and leaving a few in comas.

Exactly a year later, and on the same day, all of the students awoke from their comas. Recovering remarkably well for their conditions, and in a generally short time as well.

In the aftermath, they were all required to return to school and continue their education. With all of them being sent to Greenway Boarding School. A place that seems a bit more like a prison than a school with a closer look.

Over time, these students notice that everything isn’t exactly as it seems.

Rules

1. You are allowed a maximum of two characters until otherwise is noted by an owner of this Roleplay.

2. Swearing/Cursing shall either be blurred or interrupted/written with an asterisk. (*)

3. If characters become romantically involved, no inappropriate scenes will be allowed. If one does occur, it cannot be written, and it must be timeskiped altogether.

4. ‘Drama’ or disagreements between characters are fine. But public disputes between Roleplayers in this roleplay are not allowed. (For example, arguing in an ORP comment or post/being rude in general.)

5. Do not control characters that are not your own without permission. Unless there is a situation where ypu are allowed to create or bring an NPC in.

6. No Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters are allowed. (These are characters who are generally written without flaws to them.)

Octavia was an artistic child, something that’s stuck with her. She 17 at the time, and doing well in school. Her father left when she was only 9, leaving her mother to raise her alone with her three siblings. When her older sister moved out, it became her responsibility to take care of her two younger brothers while her mom was at work.
Personality:
Headstrong, kind when she wants to be, loyal, short tempered, doesn’t forgive easily, and makes friend quickly, but doesn’t always keep them.

Lane grew up in a small Suburban area. Seeming to always be alone. Automatically as an only child, as well as his parents always gone off on business trips. Because of this, he became a naturally closed off character. Always observing others and keeping to himself. Sometimes building up into a negative response.
At the age of 14, he moved for the first time to the small town of Hallowed Hills. Luckily making his first few friends, and good friends at that. Harry Newman and Leah Jackson. The three of them were practically inseparable. Even agreeing to go on the school trip together. But that all changed after the incident. Sending Lane into a coma, only to wake up a year later and find that neither Harry nor Leah had survived.

Now, in a new town and new school, he has an opportunity to somewhat start over.

Personality
Lane is a naturally distant person who tends to remain the same. Rarely venturing out and looking for anything different. But if he’s tested or question, he doesn’t hesitate to take control of the situation. At first glance, he may seem unapproachable. But with enough conversation and motivation, he can easily become a loyal friend who will never leave those important to him behind.

6’0", muscular, lean build. Needs glasses (for close distances, such as reading), though he doesn’t.

Heron was always distant frowning up. Not specifically because of a lack of anything. She just naturally liked being alone and away from everyone. This was even better, as her parents were always out working late as she got older. But when she was around others, she’d be closed off and distant. Not willing to let anyone in, as much as people tried to befriend her. This only led to her becoming a bully of sorts, just to keep others away from her. Even if a part of her likes the buillying as well at the end of the day.

When the incident happened, she was with the group of people that didn’t survive. So her survival is that of a mystery. But she doesn’t question it. All she knows is that she’s alive and alone, and it doesn’t need to change.

Personality
Something like an emotionless and sarcastic person, Heron is a naturally distant person who tends to remain the same. Always looking for comfort in distance, and holding on when she finds it. When someone new tries to come into her life, she tasks herself with the responsibility of pushing them away, hurting them in the process. No matter what reputation it gives her in the end.

Riku came freshman year as an exchange student from japan and he decided to stay after a year talking his mother who was divorced from his father to emigrate with him. He was never the most popular but he was comfortable with the few friends he had.
Personality
He is quiet and often shy until he opens up and get to know you. Once he is comfortable around you his real personality shows off which is more of the soft and sweet but artistic and funny guy.

Aurora grew up in the suburbs with her younger brother and single dad. Her mom had left shortly after her brother was born, so she didn’t know her all that well. It’s upsetting to think about, but Aurora doesn’t dwell on it much. Instead, she put her in the past, growing up to be a lovely little girl who was active in sports and always made the best arts and crafts in elementary school.
She had a close circle of tight friends that she clung to like glue. They had sleepovers and at least every other week.
When they were in the 7th grade, her best friend was in a fatal car crash and sadly lost her life. This tore Aurora apart. She was a completely new person. She would barely talk to anyone, would barely eat. Her eyes were noticeably redder than it was before. She had dark circles underneath her eyes that were a shade of purple-ish black/blue. Her family was concerned, but she pushed them away. Their sympathy didn’t do much for her. It was hard for her to get over her friends death, but it was a slow process.
It took a few years to warm up to everyone and get back into her normal state of mind. It’s still evident that her death had affected Aurora, but she was still accepted into a good, local college and majored in criminal justice.

She went on the trip with her brother, but the incident happened. She was badly injured, but that was about all that happened to her.

Personality:
Aurora is pretty sweet and sentimental, despite her resting b*tch face. She’s really protective of her friends and family because of her love for them. She’ll crack a few jokes here and there, but she’s never rude or sarcastic or anything like that. Aurora wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Additional Details: 5’7”, lean build. Isn’t the strongest, but can be very convincing.

Ash doesn’t remember much. All his memories are blurry and hard to understand. He remembers his father bringing him to ice cream every Friday. He’d get his favorite flavor of ice cream—mint chocolate chip—and sit with his dad in the car with the AC cranking. It was usually the dead of Summer when this happened. Ash also remembers a particular ball game incident where he was hit in the face and acquired a broken nose. Yeah, he stopped playing baseball after that, instead moving onto football…where he broke an arm. He isn’t fond of sports anymore. Ash doesn’t know what the incident was, but he remembers waking up from his coma to a blonde girl hugging him and crying. But he didn’t know who it was. Everything is a mystery to him.

Personality:
Honestly, Ash doesn’t know what his personality is. He doesn’t really remember himself or what he was like, but now he’s determined to really do whatever he wants. To him, he has nothing to live for. He wouldn’t know any better. So that makes him reckless. Ash doesn’t trust anybody because they all frighten him, but of course he doesn’t let people see that. His sense of humor is dry and his sarcasm is strong. Ash is also a pretty quick learner.
But he wants to recover his lost memories. He’s set his mind on it.
Additional Details: 5’11”. Average build, not super strong but not super weak.

Background: Robin was raised in a small town right outside Vermont. He was a reader, introverted and quiet. He didn’t fit in with his athletic, hard-as-nails family. He was pressured most of his life to play sports, which he tried. The longest one he had ever been in was Lacrosse, and only for a few weeks. Robin is poetic, and keeps to himself.

Personality: Shy, introverted, doesn’t know how to talk to girls he likes. He has a good heart and a clever mind. He hates anything athletic, yet he is a fantastic runner. He always tries to do the right thing, but often only makes things worse.
