Can I say “What’s in it?” when my MC asks about the ingredients of some food?
Or do I say it differently?
I’m struggling with forming an English sentence rn, so please help me

Why not?
Idk- it sounds kinda too informal to me-
But if your MC is a normal person it’s ok to talk informal.
Hmmm true
You could just ask- “What are are the ingredients?”
I’d usually say “what’s in it”, yeah
Somewhat depends on what the food is for me tho
I’d say “what’s in it” or maybe “what are the ingredients” depending on the context
It doesn’t sound that informal, but I’d want a setting to determine whether it would sound too out of place
The thing about English is that you can say literally anything and it can make sense (that’s a joking elaboration) so saying “what’s in it?” Does make sense!
You can also say
“What did you put in it?”
“How did you make this?” (Then you recieve the full method which is what I usually do)
“Ooo did you use guesses ingredient?”
Anyway @Writers come and give Ducky some more English help with this unless she’s no longer in need of help
Yep What’s in dat food heh?
Slide the recipe baby
(I’m kidding.) “What’s in there?” or “What’s in it?” would be a good thing to say
