Debates are welcome! I had previously posted this on the Episode forums and it got closed.
“I don’t know if anyone is interested, but I would be. Episode has gotten a lot of scrutiny over the last year about their Ad choices with odd choices. So many people have sent Danny Gonzalez ads from Episode complaining about them, so he reacted to them. I’m hoping this gives Episode incentive to change them because I find them slightly bizarre, and at least now I know I am not the only one. I will link the video down below but please do not give hate to Danny as he’s just the messenger. If you want to skip to the Episode Ad part go to 9 min. and 20 seconds as he discussed many other ads.”

I remember people on the forums were dragging him for it and I thought they were being dramatic. The ads are awful, he doesn’t need to be forced to give the app a chance. 
I swear, this community is full of whiny babies. Episode is a COMPANY! They don’t care what people have to say about the ads.

Agreed! He has mentioned it a couple times, but nothing he said was wrong. One ad was that a man’s wife fell asleep on the toilet. The options were “Pee in her mouth” or “Divorce her”. Cold. I wouldn’t mind starting a movement for good episode ads. Like promoting your story, but with sensible choices. I did make one a while ago with the help of Joseph Evan’s tutorial.
I’m pretty sure you can do this with any style, too!

Either this is employees being really stupid or this is an attention grab or something. Cuz if you saw that ad, wouldn’t you want to check out the app to find out if that was really in the stories? Either way they don’t really care about the quality of their ads.

Now I just can’t help but remember that day when my Matchmaking thread was closed and like, the reason was that it promoted dating or something when it was just a 13+ site.
For the record, it was clearly stated, it’s just a fun kinda thing and totally not real and all we actually did was make random pairs.
And I made my peace with it but if this is okay, then that should have been more than okay. I sometimes feel like Episode is nothing but a company of a bunch of hypocrites.

You’re right!
I think what we could all do to show we don’t support them is make our own ads for our stories. I made one like this, but they take a while to make. I would be down with helping people and making it some sort of movement.
