I cannot stress how much hatred I have for this new rule. I don’t really understand why they’re making new rules for this. Why? It’s so stupid and at this point, Episode is just taking away everyone’s freedom of speech. :roll_eyes: It’s like they’re purposely driving people out. Watch, the users on their forums are going to decrease so much more. It’s already somewhat dead, they putting themselves even more down in the hole.

Anyways, thoughts on this?

To me it is. You can’t do anything or say anything at this point without getting flagged or closed. It’s not just this rule, it’s all of them in general.

They’re not marching into your house and duck taping your mouth shut. The simple fact you can say it here means your freedom of speech is in tact.

However, their practices are utterly ridiculous. The way they’re running the platform is really not gonna pan out in the long run.

Unless their users are the sheep I’ve accused them of being in the past

That’s deplatforming, nowhere near as bad as taking away someone’s freedom of speech. But still very bad if it’s for stupid reasons

Have you seen the other rules though? All of these things are against the new rules:

Posting negative content

Repeatedly starting arguments with other members.

The plugging and/or advertising of non-Episode related websites, items, or content;

This one is clearly aimed at these forums ^

Threads that advertise outside stories or apps.

^ And this one, too!

Threads announcing you’re leaving the forums.

Rant/”Unpopular Opinion” threads.

I dont think they should get rid of it, but it’s really just a place for people to go to complain and is very full of negativity in my opinion, so I’m not sad. I usually would get worked up every time I opened that thread. Haha.
