He smiled awkwardly. What made the smile so awkward? It was quite a gummy smile, and his eyes were just a bit too widened to look natural. What didn’t help was how much his large, circular glasses magnified them. Still, it did appear to be genuine. “I am glad to have class with you, too!” Li-Jun enthused, excitement overriding a polite, calmer tone. Surprisingly, Laurie finger-gunned back-usually, the people in the village did not appreciate that sort of thing, much less return it. So far, Li-Jun was really liking Laurie. Though he still felt a bit unsure about this class… he didn’t plan on being a villain when he got older, and was scared learning about them might rub off on him a little. “Oh my, sorry, how ruse of me. I’m Laurie.” He held out his slightly sweaty hand for a shake. “It is a real pleasure to meet you, Laurie! Hey, our names start with the same letter.” He noted, after thinking it over for a while. English was not his first language.
