Mathematics seemed to crawl by-the class was incredibly boring and Ivan had no idea what the teacher was even talking about. The fact that he spent more time looking at Aidene than the board probably played some role in that-but even then, it was like Ms. Rossum was speaking gibberish. The only time he seemed interested in anything the sharp woman was saying was when a poster floated onto his desk-one talking about a Back-to-School formal. Will I still be here, then? Even so, he gave a suggestive smile to Aidene. It could be seen as a tease , even if he did ask her, it should be at least a bit special, no? When the teacher assigned them extra work because of two misbehaving students, Ivan rolled his eyes, but he didn’t even care. He wasn’t going to do it either way. When the bell finally rang, Ivan left quickly, ducking, his identity hidden by the black brim of his baseball cap. Of course, he made sure Aidene was following behind him.
Literature-though easier-was just as boring, and though chatting with Aidene was fun, the warning glances from the teacher were kinda killing the mood. So as they once again piled into the cluttered hallways, Ivan leaned against the lockers. “Not to say I’m not having a good time or anything,” Ivan started, “But these classes are definitely the most boring experience I’ve had so far.” His next class was Chemythstry-another class he wouldn’t excel at and had no care for. Looking to the side for a moment, then his eyes flicking back to hers-“So what do you say we ditch and go do something we’ll both enjoy?” He bit his bottom lip as he awaited her answer.
