duolingo won’t teach u a language rip it can only offer some basic information and review from it’s repetition. doesn’t teach you grammar or culture

- look up textbooks (look im not saying to pirate but i’m also saying capitalism is a b!tch and textbook writers don’t get paid anyways)
- look up youtube channels
- immerse yourself through movies and television
- quizlet is awesome
- talk to native speakers, there are apps for you to do so
- if they have a different writing system look up apps for practcing that and also practice your writing of it,
- stay persistent, practice every day
- learn the culture!

Honestly, before I started japanese class I didn’t know Sayonara was from japanese XDD
I personally like “じゃあね” but that’s more causal XD So I’d probably have to make sure to use the other one (I may or may not remember) if I ever actually talked to someone who spoke JapaneseXD
My memory isn’t the best and I don’t trust it 100% otherwise I’d say other fun facts- but I’d rather not spread misinformation on accident XD
I do know that new years food has significant meaning which is cool XD
