Quoting the thread from here to there is cool but keeping it there is best. We just want to try to keep threads on-topic for two reasons:

  1. It stops other users notifications being harassed with hundreds of posts on a thread that aren’t to do with the topic they are watching the thread for.
  2. It helps to liven the rest of the forums if there are posts elsewhere too.
