He laughed at her. LAUGHED. HE FREAKING LAUGHED. What the absolute hell does it mean when a guy who saw you naked laughs. “You’re cute,” she heard him whisper and her mouth went agape. “What are you calling me?” She huffed. Cute? What the absolute hell was that supposed to mean? In any case, he was giving her this look and honestly she couldn’t figure it out. She usually could read people so well but right now… all she knew was her eyes kept going to the way he was looking at her. The way his nose crinkled slightly when he laughed. The way his brown locks fell down his head, curls upon his roots. It was hard admitting how she felt around him… but she liked it. His presence… the way he made her question herself. She never did that before. The way he even argued. "Or would you like me to call you something else?" he whispered and it simply sent shivers down her spine. It was just that kind of thing the kind that made her question her humanity. But was she going to let him take control of this conversation? No sir. “Maybe I want the pool-boy wonder you were talking about earlier instead of this idiotic conversation” she stated; attempting to express confidence in her words. This was honestly kind of like a new **adventure. “Funny, we both know a pool boy wonder can’t make you feel how I feel,” she heard him whisper. Yep, there were those shivers down her spine again. But again; he was not going to win this conversation “Thoughts about sneaking out again to the lake? Maybe I’ll give you another preview,” she whispered; trying to throw him off balance.
